This is the third time I have been to the Pensacola Ballet production of The Nutcracker. This year I took my 7 year old granddaughter. She loved it! Her eyes were wide with excitement. I am never disapointed with this production.
I found the special effects to be very good. Dancing was good missing a few things, but overall a good show. Miss some of the “old” things from years ago the kids coming out of the dress lol, but ballet was wonderful Thank you
My overall experience was incredible. Everyone at the theater was kind and helpful in answering all of my questions. Ticket and merchandise pricing was fair. The dancers were very talented. I will definitely be attending again soon. Much needed night out.
Wonderful performance with amazing dancers, beautiful sets and costumes. The Nutcracker is a part of our family tradition that we look forward to each year. Thank you for fulfilling our dreams each time!
When watching the show you forget about your surroundings and get lost in the story. Truly, no words are needed and it is just pure joy watching the dancers. It was our first time to see The Nutcracker and we were both amazed. Richard is a genius!

THE NUTCRACKER WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. AS USUAL, THE SAENGER WAS A TERRIFIC VENUE. THE STAGING WAS....EVERYTHING....COSTUMES, SETS, MUSIC WAS AWESOME.
Ballet Pensacola never disappoints. It was stunning.
Not a big ballet fan; however, The Nutcracker was much better than expected. The performances were outstanding.
Nothing brings Christmas to life like the Nutcracker Ballet. Have been taking my daughter and granddaughter to the performance at the Saenger Theatre for many years and never tire of watching it. The Pensacola Ballet group is awesome and put on a memorable and magical performance. If you've never experienced The Nutcracker you must plan on attending next Christmas.
I love the Nutcracker. I take my grandson with me every year. It really gets you in the spirit. Pensacola ballet always puts on a great show.

I took my daughter and granddaughter to the opening night. It was magical! I can see why the Pensacola Ballet is ranked in the top 10 small ballet companies in the country. My granddaughter, a teenager, loved it, as well. We sat int he orchestra section, at the back, and the seats were great -- we could see everything. There were too many great moments to list, but so much of the time I was nearly holding my breath as I watched the dancers perform flawless routines. The scenery was so well-done, and the director even added in some comic relief to the performances. I would recommend the Nutcracker by the Pensacola Ballet to fans of all ages. Oh, I almost forgot about the actually nutcrackers that were sold in the lobby. They were gorgeous and reasonably priced. I got one for my granddaughter and she loved the souvenir.
Many wonderful dancers in this performance. Also many children at beginner level who seemed just there for "aw" factor, but actually detracted from professional atmosphere. Nice set, lovely costumes, and some interesting surprises. Some awkward, delayed transitions. Performance started 30 min late with no apologies to audience.
I have been to many ballet's of the Nutcracker. This was the best community Nutcracker I have watched. I really enjoyed the smaller children their roles. The story was relied very well & very artistic. A must see! On a different note- the lead ballerina had elegant moves and gorgeous lines. She however was so thin she was difficult to look at while performing. When you are a skeleton with skin hanging on you, you need to worry about your health.
The Pensacola Ballet Co. really is one of the best small ballets in the country. They did a wonderful job bringing The Nutcracker to life!
Nicely done rendition of the holiday favorite. Good mixture of dancers. Music was a little loud for me. The theater is amazing. Beautifully restored 1925 decor really sets the tone for the performance.
This was my very first time going to see a ballet performance and I absolutely loved The Nutcracker. The performance was amazing, the talent and athletics of the ballet dancers was mind blowing. I will definitely be going to another show.
It's always a treat to see various companies' version of classics. I've seen the nutcracker in large markets (NY, ATL, HOU) and never in a small market until moving to Pensacola. Really missed the live music but enjoyed how they incorporated talented developing dancers to give them the opportunity to get stage experience then balanced it with some higher level dancers. This makes me wonder if there is a opportunity for a talented developing orchestra like the Mobile Youth Symphony to accompany some of the dances in the work. Might be a nice collaboration and an equal match of talent!
