Ballet Idaho held a fantastic performance unlike any ballet I've ever seen. Beautiful works and the price point for the experience was unbeatable.
Ballet Idaho has to be one of the most progressive ballet companies out there. They're doing new and exciting things and we're lucky to have a company like this here in Boise. If you want to see world class dancing I definitely recommend catching a show!
Loved first two pieces but not at all the last one.
We attended the Swan Lake Ballet. Both girls loved watching the dancers and the scenery. It was nice hat we could get snacks and drinks at intermission. We will be back
I purchased tickets for myself and my granddaughter. My parents, now both gone, took me to the ballet every year. We lived in Los Angeles and I saw some of the greatest artists and musicals to ever be truly enjoyed.The most beautiful performances ever seen. The Hollywood Bowl, The Music center, all the great venues. Seeing the ballet again in such a beautiful theater with the most gracious performers, musicians, and extremely friendly theater staff was such a pleasant moment in time for my granddaughter. Thank you for allowing me to share that time as I once did with my parents!
Exquisite Sunday afternoon performance of Swan, Lake, by Ballet Idaho! Beautifully done …Including the touching moments at curtain call!
The ballet was beautiful. The prelude needed additional script about the baby to tie the black swan with the event.
Back in December my sister and I went to see the Nutcracker. I had only been to a ballet once before as a child, and it was to see the Nutcracker. I knew I’d love to see that one again because of the nostalgia surrounding it for me. When seeing the Nutcracker, we heard that they were also doing Swan Lake and we said we had to go. I was sort of nervous that I wouldn’t care for it because I didn’t have the nostalgia to connect me to it but I would even say it was better than the Nutcracker!! Each of the 4 acts was more and more moving and all the characters were so talented. The story came across beautifully even with no words. The live orchestra made the experience so immersive and they played flawlessly. Without spoiling the ending of Swan Lake, I do have to say having only known the story through the Barbie version of Swan Lake, I did not expect it to end the way it did! It was crazy! Swan Lake at Ballet Idaho was an amazing experience and I will definitely be looking to make it to more of their shows!!
My eyeballs have never been graced with such beauty, talent, and emotion. Every dancer captured my attention and left me wanting more. I'm simply awe-struck by Swan Lake

Loved it, dancers, costumes and music were excellent. Loved venue, theatre was very accommodating.
My husband and I treated our 13-year old neighbor girl to her first ballet for the last performance of The Nutcracker on December 18th. It was an extremely cold day, and the Morrison Center had outdoor heaters set around the area where people had to wait to go through their security. The lines proceeded quickly to get theatregoers into the building where the magic began. From the giant Christmas tree, to the large nutcracker for picture taking, to the snack/drink bar and gift area, it was perfect for young and old alike. The performance was exceptional! Cast was perfect, and it's difficult to name our favorites. Attending next year is already on my calendar!
We have thirteen females in the family, starting with myself, our five daughters, their six daughters and my sister. I bought tickets for the whole group and fortunately everyone was able to make it. Everyone was impressed in some fashion. From the youngest, who is three to the oldest, who is 66, we all loved it. The three year old bounced up and down with the dancers. Our daughters saw the magnificent body control of the dancers and the hard work of the set makers, the costume designers, etc. Loved the shout out to Boise State in the little boats. For myself, I was overwhelmed with emotion to have all of us together enjoying such a high level performance in our community.
I took my 9 year old daughter to the Nutcracker for the first time this year, and it was magical. She kept saying how fancy it was, and she thought the story was so romantic. We will be making this a yearly tradition!
Going to the Nutcracker is tradition I began with my daughter and now continue with my granddaughters. The girls started attending when they were each 5 years old. Now the oldest is in high school and still loves to attend. Thanks Ballet Idaho for wonderful memories.
The Nutcracker was everything I hoped it would be--magical from start to finish!
Like many others, we have made attending The Nutcracker a holiday tradition since my granddaughter was three years old. She is as spellbound as ever, and we three generations take comfort in the tradition and joy in the multi-layered beauty of Ballet Idaho's performance of the classic ballet -- accompanied by the rich orchestral sounds of the Boise Philharmonic. A treasured experience we are grateful to once again be able to enjoy in person.
I thought the costumes, music and scenery was very impressive. The dancers were so so good!
Everyone was so talented and very well produced. Highly recommend seeing it next year, I know we will be back!
The facility was beautiful. My husband and I absolutely loved the Nutcracker. It was our first ballet! We were not sure what to expect. Nothing short of aaamazing!! Spectacular performances, beautiful costumes. Thank you so very much!
