My toddler and I were turned away at the door along with numerous other people with 9”x11” purses. It was pouring down rain, the man didn’t have a ruler (I measured my bag before I left) and by the time I got another Uber In the rain the show was half way over.
This was the first ballet experience for my whole family. The seating in the theatre was great. The sound from the orchestra was wonderful! The dancing was phenomenal and on point. I loved seeing a girl plus size dance. I never believed I could dance in a tutu because of my size and well that just made my whole night. She looked so fabulous and cheerful!! I think there was more than one. But this girl really stood out, she just looked so happy!!! Only draw back my youngest, husband and I had was the fact that there wasn't anyone saying anything or singing. I'm not sure if all ballets are silent but we were waiting to hear a voice. lol. My oldest didnt care that she didnt hear any voices. She loved it!! She wants to dance now! I would see it again and get floor seats again.
I am happy to live in a town that offers this touch of class to it's community. This was the perfect evening of music, dance and culture. Especially noteworthy was the timing of the season that added an exclamation point on this occasion. Bravo!
The performance hall needs to find a better way for audiences to enter for the performance. The line to enter was a block long. Lucky for us the weather was not raining or cold.
I had not seen the Nutcracker since I was a little girl in New York. It brought back plenty of memories for me.
Went with a friend and our seats were great. We enjoyed ourselves and was able to see very good. Can’t wait to attend another event there.
A fantastic performance bringing the holiday season to life!
Music was wonderful. Dancers sometimes out of sync for group dancing. One dancer fell twice breaking the rhythm of those around her. Otherwise, it was good.
Loved it! Wonderful show, beautiful music and beautiful scenery. Highly recommend.
Our 3rd year to see this show and it’s awesome every time. Well done by Ballet Arkansas and the orchestra is just absolutely amazing. If you haven’t seen the Nutcracker at Robinson performance hall you are missing a wonderful experience.
So disappointed in the Robison property. After climbing the steps in wet cold weather; finding the doors all locked, we went in the side doors through security. After that, there was no help at all. No one greeted us. So signage. No one to direct us. Finally, we went to the upper floor and ask the person handing out the programs where our seats were. Really poor, when you pay good money to go to an event like that. I had 11 other people and we had no clue where to go. I wanted everything to be perfect for them. Thank goodness the Ballet was so good.
The performers/dancers were superb. I very much enjoyed the performance and would highly recommend it to others.
We had a great time last Saturday (December 14th) at the Nutcracker Ballet. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole show. The cast did a great job, the costumes were superb, and the staff was courteous and helpful. The only thing that I would add is that there needs to be a bathroom on the second level to help speed things up at intermission. Other than that, we love the Robinson Center!!
Love the show. Ballet Arkansas is top notch. Zeke is amazing to watch. So much talent, ability, and grace. He is the reason we keep coming back! Great production.
The orchestra sounded terrific; the costumes and sets were beautiful and the dancing was engaging. Very well done Ballet Arkansas😊
My 2 nieces (6 & 3 years old) have been talking about ballerina stuff for months now, so I decided to take them to this show. Then it grew to every female in the family going to the show. Everyone had a wonderful time. The performers were very good.
