Bad Company was awesome, Skynryd too loud

by Stanback on 7/25/14Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga Falls

Bad Company has lost nothing in 30-40 years. Paul Rodgers still has an extremely pure voice. Played all the favorites. Absolutely loved them. Lynyrd Skynryd was too loud. So loud there was distortion in the first song or two and rest of show could only understand part of lyrics. Overall, enjoyed their show especially their tribute to the troops.

ROCK? WHAT? I CANT HEAR YOU!!!

by CallMeSu on 7/25/14Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga Falls

Plain and simple, if you were sitting on the lawn you barely heard anything. I can't believe that a rock show would be so low in volume. From what I heard the music was great but even the country show we went to there was louder! I don't know if something was wrong with the speakers or what but that definitely was my biggest qualm!

    Bad Company was awesome!!!

by GAD1 on 7/25/14Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga Falls

All I can say is AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME! Bad Company has been my favorite band since I was a teenager. They were fantastic!! My only disappointment was that they did not do my favorite song Silver, Blue, and Gold. If you get the chance to see them, do it.

    All the hits

by ronnio on 7/25/14Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga Falls

Both of these classic bands played all their hits. What are we gonna do for quality rock and roll if these guys retire?

    BOTH bands absolutely ROCKED!!!!!

by ShouldaBrought30 on 7/23/14Susquehanna Bank Center - Camden

Bought the Lynyrd Skynyrd meet and greet; had to leave Bad Co a little early but they sounded fantastic. Never saw them live before. Paul sounded like he was 20 again and Mick Rolfs and Howard Leese killed on their guitar parts. Total high energy performance. The meet/greet is more of a photo op backstage. Being a big Skynyrd fan; it was still awesome to shake all the band members hands and say Hi and such. Wish I had brought my 30th anniversary Skynyrd Les Paul with me; I'm sure the band would've loved to pose with it. Have seen them 3 times live, they never disappoint. Terrific show, Great crowd response for BOTH bands as well. SUPER night.

Bad Co earned this show it's 5 star rating

by NoVAMusicMaven on 7/23/14Jiffy Lube Live - Bristow

First up was a singer/songwriter that may have a future but he said his name quickly, never repeated it. Turns out that it was Steve Rodgers, Paul Rodgers' son. I didn't care for the first song but the others he played were pretty good and he ended with a long a capella song that I didn't catch the name of but I liked it. Next up a band called The Dead Daisies. They should have stayed dead. They were loud just for the hell of being loud. Next up was Lynyrd Skynyrd. Gary Rossington is still a class act and he was a treat to see. The rest of the group is all hype and riding on the laurels of the old songs. I didn't hear anything new and that was a disappointment. Bad Co was the whole reason I sat there thru the other 3 bands. I have loved Paul Rodgers in so many bands over the years... Free, The Firm, Bad Co. yet I have never had the pleasure of seeing him in person. I'm glad I finally got the chance. Bad Co is still Bad!

    GREAT DOUBLE HEADER!

by Poojer on 7/22/14Jiffy Lube Live - Bristow

Lynyrd Skynyrd rocked our socks off. We were wondering why they were not the headliner, as they were more popular back in the 70's than Bad Co.

    Skynyrd was great

by pressman on 7/22/14Jiffy Lube Live - Bristow

Skynyrd had the crowd into the show. They rocked the house. Bad company must had a bad night. Bad Company finally started to get the crowd into the show about half way thru their set. overall I really enjoyed the show. The line up was great

Bad Company was worth the wait!!

by LuckyTrudy on 7/22/14Jiffy Lube Live - Bristow

While I'm a fan of both groups, I had seen Skynyrd before, twice. They were TERRIBLE!! Their performance was completely phoned in by a band whose members barely reflect the original amazing LYNYRD SKYNYRD. Johnny is a poor excuse for his revered older brother, the late, great Ronnie Van Zant. Rickey Medlocke is an even poorer excuse for Steve Gaines (if you can't play Free Bird properly, you shouldn't be in this band!!). It's time to retire the tour guys. Skynyrd played first and we waited through their performance to see the band we really came for, BAD COMPANY!! THEY WERE AWESOME!!! Paul Rodgers, THE VOICE, has still got it. His vocals still sound as good as the original recordings. The band seemed to have a great time on stage and truly appreciated the fans. There was a sing along . . . I always love when a band lets the audience show their love of their songs and they interact with the crowd. JLL was rocking'! " . . . Sing it out loud . . . it's a part of my rock and roll fantasy"! My fantasy came true, seeing Bad Company, mostly Paul Rodgers on stage. I'll be back next year, but hope they find a different band to tour with. If it was just Bad Company, it would have been a 5 star rating.

Absolutely the best concert I have ever been too! What a pairing! Both bands blew the roof off the house! Rock and Roll forever!!!!! The music was fantastic, the energy was fantastic, it was great! Can't wait to see them next year!!!!!!!!

    Two great bands!

by yorkiesamtim on 7/22/14Jiffy Lube Live - Bristow

Lynard Skynard did an awesome job w/musicality and a touching tribute (During "Freebird") to the band members who parished in the plane crash. Bad Co. can also still rock on and still sound great!

skynyrd set em' up, bad co knocked em' down

by sljones13 on 7/22/14Jiffy Lube Live - Bristow

NOT surprising that it was quite awesome. Seen Skynyrd before and was looking forward to them kicking butt as usual. Very surprised when Bad Co came on, had never seen them and was amazed that Paul Rodgers has such a strong voice still after all these years. Well worth the trip... Here's some extra feedback- although the jiffy lube live allows SLR camera's the "artists" this evening disallowed them and I was not able to take my camera in... that sucked!

Don't go to this show if you like to take pictures

by Ladyred57 on 7/22/14Jiffy Lube Live - Bristow

Comparing this show to the one last year, just reversing the headliners: Last year's show was the highlight of the summer, this year was an average show. Lynyrd Skynyrd rocked from the start, no talking, just music. Bad Company did not live up to their opening act, and they are my favorite. I think Paul Rodgers is getting a little tired, although he sounds great. My complaint is that taking pictures is part of my concert experience, and although I received an email from LiveNation the day before the show telling me all I needed to know, I had to leave my $500 camera at guest services after being told the tour doesn't allow anything but cell phone cameras. I do not have a removeable lense and it is not professional. I will not be going to any more of their shows due to this. I can't upload photos with this review, because I wasn't allowed to take any.

    Lynyrd and Bad Co

by MusicFan70s on 7/22/14Jiffy Lube Live - Bristow

Saw them last year. Lynyrd played first. They had more vigor and energy and had the crowd standing most of the time. Bad Co. was great, Paul Rodgers is the heart and energy of the band. Background lighing and videos, particularly for Lynyrd were awesome.

    Lynyrd Skynyrd Rocked The House!

by Dmur313 on 7/21/14Susquehanna Bank Center - Camden

Bad Company was pretty good, but I wasn't that impressed. When compared to Skynryd, well, there just isn't a comparison! I have seen Skynrd every time they come to the area and they never disappoint. Great show, incredible musicians. I am just in awe. This time I took my younger daughter who does not have that much knowledge of them and she was blown away. At one point Johnny mentioned how he saw 4 generations at this concert and that is what is so great about them. They have an affect on people of all ages.
