Backstreet Boys on Tour
The pitch-perfect harmonies. The matching outfits and dance moves. The dreamy personas. When they set foot in an arena, the Backstreet Boys are absolutely in their element, belting out a massive catalog of original hits to an outsized audience that screams back every word. Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Kevin Richardson have been at it for decades, but even after setting the blueprint for acts like One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer, their 1993-formed group remains the best-selling boy band of all time. And unlike so many others (including their former direct competition, *NSYNC), Backstreet Boys never quit. They kept making records — adapting their increasingly adult sound to an ever-shifting pop landscape — and kept upping the performance stakes too, taking their NKOTBSB supergroup (with New Kids on the Block) on the road in 2011, and holding down a two-year residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas starting in 2017. Their DNA World Tour celebrates their rich history of swooning ballads and get-up-and-dance jams (and yet another No. 1 album in 2019's DNA).
Backstreet Boys in Concert
Despite becoming more or less a five-headed pop machine, the Backstreet Boys' origins were pretty organic. Cousins Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell came up singing in church choirs and at festivals in Lexington, Kentucky, while the other three bonded over their shared love for Prince and old-school R&B after meeting at various acting auditions around Orlando. They came together under the guidance of teen-pop guru Lou Pearlman and emerged in the mid-1990s as radio-smashing global sensations — the quintessential boy band yearning over heartfelt hits like "I Want It That Way" and powering parties with upbeat bops like "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)." Their first two U.S. albums — 1997's Backstreet Boys and 1999's Millennium — also marked the arrival of Swedish superproducer Max Martin, who helped forge a shiny new sound that combined bubblegum pop, classic R&B, hip-hop swing and dance production. The Backstreet Boys' astounding longevity owes as much to maintaining this baseline formula as it does to their ability to pull modern sounds and grown-man themes into the gleaming pop universe they created way back when.

I have waited 17 & 1/2 yrs to see the Backstreet Boys in concert....I am 33 yrs old....I was VERY SATISFIED with the concert....I took my Husband, & my baby sister; who is also 17 & 1/2 yrs old; it was very memorable I will definitely go again....hopefully I can get closer seats the next time, closer than right center....IT WAS DEFINITELY AMAZING, & I WILL NOT EVER FORGET IT!!!!!!!!
The Backstreet Boy's have yet to fail their fan population! This concert kept me dancing, singing, and bouncing; one of the most rememberable nights of my life! Their mix with old, as well as new music kept me interested and I will have to admit that I couldn't even leave me seat to go to the bathroom! This was one concert I would experience again and again!
BSB is my fav band of all time, and I was so excited to catch them on this tour. I haven't seen them since the Never Gone tour, and I was not disappointed at all! They sang all of their wonderful 'oldie' hits, and sang the majority of their songs off of This is Us. They sang, danced, and entertained for over two hours, and it was one of the best performances I have seen, they've still got it! Backstreets Back alright!
BSB still has it! They put on an outstanding show. I would definitely go again!
I've been a Backstreet Boys fan since I was a kid. When most others moved on to other styles of music, I remained a fan. This show was so amazing! The songs were fantastic, the dancing was killer, it was just an overall great performance. I love all your music so I was belting out all the words of course, but I also found myself laughing at all the funny faces you guys made and those videos. It shows that you guys are cool people as well as wonderful performers. I have choreographed dance routines to both "We've got it Going On" and "Larger than Life" so both of those songs were really fun to rock out to, plus your outfits for "Larger than Life" were bad ass. It was a super fantastic concert and my friends and I had a blast! Please come back soon because my friends and I agree that there is no way we're missing out on front row again. I love you guys!

I loved the show! I had great seats, ( not that there's a bad seat in the house), they gave an amazing performance..(as usual)...and Im sad It's over. This was my 9th BSB concert I've attended and I cannot wait for the next one.... however....the parking lot situation (Granted there was some terrible weather) was rediculous and unorganized. . . I feel as though that is something that needs to be brought under control.
the concert was awesome! they definitely looked very good. the crowd was hyped the whole time. everyone sang along to the old stuff but not many seemed to know the new stuff. but thats ok. as they said it has been 17 yrs, and i've been there all the way! the after party rocked. nick got up and dj'd! awesome! simply awesome! but i do agree with people about the opener. they weren't that good. reminded you of michael jackson in the jackson 5, except there was 4 of them. not right. they do not fit the persona or vibe of the group. but other than that the concert was off the hook! every time gets better and better!

I love the Backstreet Boys and after seeing them in 2008 during their Unbreakable Tour, I was sooo happy to see them again. In 08 the show was one of the best concerts I had ever seen, and I've been to many. This show was terrible..the opening act Mindless Behavior were 4 (probably 12 yrs. old) boys who lip synched the whole time and danced like Micheal Jackson. They were not a great way to start the show because everyone just laughed at them. BSB came on later than expected, and the very first song you couldnt hear what they were even singing. I dont think the microphones were right or maybe it was the speakers but the whole night I had to crane to try and hear where they were in my favorite songs. Also, the old songs that are loved by everyone were cut in half, they sang only up to the first chorus of all their good ones like All I have to give, and Larger than Life..overall, I was extremely bored and ready to leave, they did not live up to my expectations from 08 and I would not see them again sorry to say.

loved the setlist. i was afraid that they would mostly sing songs from the new album, but they managed to sing their top hits from their past, and it was so amazing! the only drawback is that due to the theater configuration, those in general admission had a hard time viewing the stage. if they had screens at the front or sides, it'd be better. but overall, a great time for backstreet fans.

This concert was beyond amazing! They performed one hit after another and had everyone singing and dancing along the entire time.
The Backstreet Boys concert at Mohegan Sun was awesome! They are truly great performers. It was the first time I had been to a concert at the Arena where the audience remained standing throughout the show. The setlist was a good mix of old and new songs. I was disppointed that there wasn't a catwalk to extend the stage, but the arena isn't too big, so most seats are good (I was in section 17, and could see just fine). I definitely reccommend the venue and the Backstreet Boys!

Even though the Backstreet Boys are.......... well not boys anymore but men, they have not lost any spark to their performance. The concert was fully entertaining from beginning to end. I have previously seen them when i was in 4th grade (nearly 10 years ago) and their This Is It Tour was just as good as their Black and Blue Tour. They not only played their newer music, but also songs from all of their previous albums. It was a night full of great entertainment!
