Great show....better notification and planning needed

by R. Michael Cox on 8/24/22Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion - Portsmouth

First, a great group of artists and show. My complaint comes with the lack of notification about what is going on during inclement weather. Some people were already in the venue and then were forced to leave. I waited outside and finally figured out on my own after watching others when it was time to go in the venue. I know you have a notification system because it is used to let people know "make sure you've got your e-tickets, etc." This could have been used to say "there is a delay with the show," "the gates will open at....," "the show will now begin at....." Having people walk back and forth to their vehicles is potentially dangerous during events like this on on Sunday.

Great performances by all 3! Disappointed in short shows.

by Born For The Blues on 8/24/22Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion - Portsmouth

Due to storms the concert was delayed 2 hrs. Very disappointed the shows were shortened but the spectacular performances by all 3 made up. Looking forward to next years' lineup.

    Had a really fun time.

by Frady on 8/24/22Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion - Portsmouth

I highly enjoyed this concert. Kingfish was a phenomenal opening act and Kenny Wayne Shepherd rocked the house. Much respect to him for letting Buddy Guy be the headliner for the evening. You could tell the admiration KWS had for Buddy. Buddy Guy was every bit as funky as he said he would be. I hope when I am 86 years old I am rocking out just like him.

    Pavilion Management Ruined Event

by Rudy on 8/24/22Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion - Portsmouth

They removed us from the Pavilion due to a threat of "severe weather" and told us to go stand and wait in a parking garage for two hours with no bathroom. It rained (moderately), so the delay was a joke. I won't be going to Portsmouth for concerts at this venue.

How "blue" can a venue make it ?

by Swanee on 8/24/22Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion - Portsmouth

Three awesome acts; I mean just what could you find wrong with the 86 yr old current patriarch of the blues, Buddy Guy, a journeyman bluesman who has earned his chops over many years in Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and a one of the new phenoms in Kingfish Ingram. However, when a venue states it is "rain or shine" then delays the start for 2 hours In "an abundance of caution" over lightning that NEVER arrived is not acceptable. People that had to go to work the next morning just had to put up or shut up. Gee thanks..

Totally sucked, the venue was I'll prepared for the storm.

by Dan on 8/24/22Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion - Portsmouth

Completely sucked, made us wait in pouring down rain to get in . Soaked, because the website said no umbrella but then they let alot of people in with them. Shortened show, they should have postponed it, but because the acts were there they didn't care about y people only the money they would lose.

    Three generations of the blues!

by YooperMK on 8/24/22Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion - Portsmouth

An incredible show! Three generations of blues musicians, each with their own style made the show an absolute joy. Kingfish is a phenom, KWS full of energy, & the legendary Buddy Guy! The venue in Portsmouth is well suited for this show but I can see this growing into bigger amphitheaters. Really hope this continues each year with both returning musicians & new ones. I'll be there!

    AWESOME!

by Regina on 8/24/22Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion - Portsmouth

Besides the show being delayed because of the weather, it was absolutely amazing. We had 3rd row seats and it made it even more special. We have seen Kenny Wayne Shepherd several times and it just keeps getting better. Buddy Guy? What is there to say but ICONIC.

    Springfield MA 8/18/22

by Milo on 8/22/22Springfield Symphony Hall - Springfield

Overall a great show! Kingfish was incredible and KWS brought it as usual. I wanted more playing from Buddy Guy and less gimmicky messing around on the guitar. I know he’s 86, but he can still play. I’d rather he’d just told old stories than drag a towel across the guitar or tap it with a drumstick. Would have loved it if they all jammed and played more songs together.

    Guess i got old

by Old Coot on 8/22/22Springfield Symphony Hall - Springfield

At 64 this was the first concert that i walked out on. Ive seen Kenny a half dozen times and love him. The VOLUME of his set sent me home. Sorry Kenny, that extra 50db is unnecessary..

    Didn’t disappoint

by KJOD on 8/22/22Springfield Symphony Hall - Springfield

What a great show from start to finish! All 3 acts were amazing! Christone Ingram - unbelievable @ 23 , Kenny Wayne Shepard was wonderful - powerhouse so talented and Buddy Guy @ 86 wow - his voice was spot on as well as playing that guitar! All such talented artists and bands. Was great to see them all come out and play at the end - generations of talent😊 They definitely gave you your monies worth - show started at 7:30 and ended about midnight.
