I’ve been to plays before never to a musical play and the fact that it was a back to the future musical play. I gotta say I loved it. I will definitely do another musical play in the future. The cast was amazing. Can’t wait to see more. I hope there’s more cool musical plays in the future
This was so fun and more than I’d expected! The story was exciting, touching and lead me on an emotional journey of positivity. The stage props were so cool and unlike anything I’d ever seen. I definitely would recommend this show!
Nice show, but not the best in my opinion. I’d rate 6/10, and that’s mostly for the special effects.
The set design and effects were amazing. The show was fun. The songs were ok. There wasn't one song that stuck with me. Was very close to the movie, but just didn't touch my heart as much. Actors did a great job. I wouldn't see it again though.
This was not my favorite musical. The Delorean effects were cool, but not one single song was stuck in my head when I left. Some of the performances were just too over the top for me, as well.
The classic movie brought to life in a musical. This was just as fun to see as the movie always is!!
We went to see Back to the Future, the musical. It was true to the movie. Almost using the script verbatim. They made some changes, however even at the end the DeLorean flew away. All in all it was a wonderful play. I absolutely loved it. We have fantastic seats. However, wherever you sit it will be a great show. I recommend it highly.I
this was really underwhelming, with no standouts in the cast and a flat performance. it was fine, but not ready for prime time and certainly not two thousand people. charisma was missing throughout, especially between the leads. i wish i could go back in time and take the ticket out of my checkout cart.
Our cheeks hurt from laughing after the first couple acts - very fun show and subtle adult jokes/references throughout - amazing set design too. Highly recommend!
Show was absolutely Incredible and Stunning with the way they used the lights and the screen to add onto the show and make it feel so real. My jaw dropped
The performers were great, but the show itself was lacking. The humor was pretty hit and miss. I would say more on the "miss"side which is too bad since it's a comedy. Most of the added songs were pretty forgettable. I just kept thinking that I'd rather be watching the movie. Some of the effects were pretty creative, but they are overshadowed by an overuse of a projector screen. It's entertaining enough if you like BttF, but I would save your money for a different show.
This is a perfectly serviceable if cartoony musical version of the movie. It doesn’t take itself or the genre at all seriously. Some people seemed to enjoy it. Others in the audience audibly hated it. I found it mostly boring and predictable. The special effects were the best part of the show. Try as hard as you can to remember any of the songs (other than Power of Love): unlikely you will succeed. Not the worst show I’ve seen, but I felt embarrassed for the right out of college cast that this cheese-fest was such a waste of their obvious talents.
I love the Back to the Future movie trilogy and when I saw there was a musical, I knew I had to go see it…and Boy! I’m glad I did. I LOVE the special effects!! I was wondering how they would be able to show the DeLorean racing up to 88 mph on a small stage but the show did it brilliantly and so realistically as well. It’s a must see!!
I enjoyed this performance tremendously. The acting/singing was superb. The staging of the show and alterations from the movie was not only fascinating but kept you involved in the story that the audience knows very well. My only complaint is that the musical has a very limited run at The Pantages theater.

The stage, sound, lights etc were fantastic!! Our Marty McFly on Thurs evening was not as good as I hoped, dancing was good but didn't care for his voice.
It was hard to imagine how a musical could honor the movie in such a fun way, but they nailed it! Some great parts that humorously exaggerated key moments in the movie (George’s laugh was my favorite) and moments when they questioned why there were company dancers, and why were they on this stage with this audience. I suggest re-watching the movie in the days prior to seeing the live show. Great fun!
Fans of the movie will absolutely love this adventure back to the past. Lots of the same great moments from the film, with LOTS of funny, cool, clever original writing added. The music - obviously great - and the cast were superb! The staging, complete with some magical moments with a DeLorean, was off the hook. SOOOO incredible. Loved, loved, loved this show.
The performance was a overall 10 in my opinion and I’ve seen a lot of players on seven years old. The singing was over the top. Can’t wait to see it again.
