  • Wow! Just WOW!!

by JohnR on 12/22/24Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

It always amazes me how these shows can travel from city to city to put on amazing performances with stunning sets and Back to the Future The Musical took it to an entire new level! The performances by the actors and actresses were all wonderful - great singing, acting, and lots of laughs. But the special effects were mind-boggling! The Delorian was a true highlight and worth the price of admission all by itself! This is a show not to be missed! Loved It!!

  • A fun and faithful take on the original

    by J.B.R. on 12/21/24Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

It’s a Broadway show and not a sci-fi movie. Once you get past that, you realize how fun this play is and you enjoy the incredible voices of the actors; as well as the awesome special effects and scene transitions. Watching the Back to the Future trilogy is one of my most vivid childhood memories and, when I was seeing this Broadway show, I couldn’t stop smiling, laughing and, yes, crying a bit too.

  • Amazing!!!

Truly amazing. The cast provided an incredible performance. The special effects were out of this world. I did not come away singing any particular tune.

  • Not a musical

by MK on 12/14/24Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 1 out of 5

Loved the movies, but probably best left at the movie screen. Not really musical making material.

  • Technical problems

by Anna on 12/13/24Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 1 out of 5

At the end had technical issues, lots of ppl left without Seeing the end

  • A major disappointment

by John on 12/13/24Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 1 out of 5

This play wasn’t anywhere near Broadway quality. The culmination of an uninspiring performance was the set completely crashing near the end of the play - causing a 40 minute delay. Sadly, a waste of money.

  • Great show and special effects

by KLA on 12/13/24Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

This was a great show. Fully entertaining and the acting was fabulous! Loved George McFly!!!

  • Awesome visuals, nostalgic, hilarious

by Oliver on 12/5/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Great entertainment, loved that the quirkiness and eccentricity of the characters from the original movie are kept and extended in the show. Songs were amazing and hilarious, especially the ones featuring George and/or Doc. I found myself quoting some of the more famous ones along as they were being acted out.

  • well done; followed story line from original movie

  • I Would Go Back to BACK TO THE FUTURE

by Larry K on 12/3/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Critics claimed it followed too closely to the movie script. What would you expect? Why change the plot? That makes no sense. What does make sense is going to see this production. They could not have casted Marty or Doc or George or Mama McFly any more perfectly than this Pantages production Tour. Top notch venue. Outstanding Orchestra and sound. Talented ensemble. And, despite the critic's opinion, each song was entertaining and well crafted with clever lyrics and rhyme. Not a dull moment in this show. Check out Doc's "For the Dreamers"- as good as most Broadway tunes and philosophically so ingenious and true! (More than can be said about the snobbish reviews by many Broadway critics). Rarely have I observed a more enthusiastic crowd and ovation. Catch this show before you "Run out of Time, Great Scott"

  • Back to the Drawing Board

by Buzz on 12/3/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 3 out of 5

Recently saw the touring company here in LA. You could tell the fan-base of the movie were there wearing their favorite t-shirts or 80s look. Was excited to see how this was going to turn out. Overall, I got the feeling this was more of a 'sillier' story. Almost as if the Musical was making fun of itself for the sake of laughs. The music was fitting to the era(s), 80s and 50s, but the numbers seemed just "placed"in and didn't really move/motivate the story. One minute you were getting dialogue and a song would pop in for no apparent reason. It was odd. The spectacle was, of course, the Delorian. Kudos to the design team for the special effects with the car. But alas, the show seemed to be only done so the car could be featured. If you're a fan of the Movie, you're bound to enjoy the show in some format or another. But it all leads to a huge question- Why bother to make this at all? Three stars because of the special effects, but no more.

  • Amazing dancers, songs were forgettable

by soellewoods on 12/2/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 3 out of 5

The dancers and actors were so amazing, loved the swing type dances and the actors gave it everything they had! The Delorian and tech were also great but the songs were meh and forgettable and did not move the story along. As one of my fave movies I expected more. The set was great, lights and sound and all other elements but the show / book itself seems self serving or telling a joke I wasn't in on. Cut the songs with Doc dancers. it was too much. But that being said my friends loved it so.

  • Incredible show!

by Wow! on 12/2/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

This one really left me in awwww! Back to the former the musical really exceeded my expectations! ! My god! From the visual effects to the acting of the performers! If you ever experience back to the future “the ride “ at universal studios, this for sure will bring back memories! I cried at the end! It was amazing and I totally recommend. All this other negative reviewers are obviously not fans of the movie!

  • BLEW ME OUT OF THE WATER!!!!!!!!!;)

by Flameboy109 on 12/2/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

This performance was truly a remarkable 1-in-a-BLUE-MOON EXPERIENCE, I was completely FLOORED and WOWED with your songs particularly the song sang By Doc Brown: It Works and the One sang by the Goldie Wilson Bar Waiter running for Mayor: Whatever that song was called. PLEASE KEEP-UP your wonderful sequence of whatever it is you do - It Truly Works. Good luck with your next performing plays: Wicked and Harry Potter & The Cursed Child..........;)

  • Very entertaining, great songs, dancing!!
