B2K In Concert
For a whirlwind two years in the early 2000s, boy band B2K held the world in their sensitive but rugged palms, creating bouncy, hip-hopâenhanced R&B with P. Diddy ("Bump, Bump, Bump") and even starring in a blockbuster dance drama (You Got Served) that showcased their lithe bodies and voices equally. Though the group split up in 2004, late 2018 brought the welcome news that Omarion, Fizz, Boog, and Raz-B are back together and ready to inspire screams and swoons around the U.S. with The Millennium Tour, a bill stacked with names who also call up the flash and flirtation of the aughts: Pretty Ricky, Chingy, Mario, Lloyd, and more.
Boys of the New Millennium, as they're officially known, began as four ambitious kids mostly from southern Los Angeles (Inglewood, Compton, Watts) brought together by industry veteran Chris Stokes, the guru behind predecessors Immature/IMx. But after B2K dropped a self-titled debut in 2002 â filled with slinky bump-n-grinders like "Gots Ta Be" and jiggy dance grooves like "Uh Huh" â it was clear they had a seductive magic all their own. Their recurring spots on the legendary, aptly named Scream tours were thrilling combinations of synchronized dance, perfect harmonies, and intimate interactions with an audience that never stopped squealing.Â
As their faces plastered the walls of more and more teens' bedrooms around the world, B2K worked tirelessly to please, releasing a splashy holiday collection called Santa Hooked Me Up (don't sleep on the swagged-up "Sexy Boy Christmas") and a second album, Pandemonium!, both before the dawn of 2003. The new songs expertly paired percussive production evoking Timbaland and the Neptunes with grade A songwriting by the likes of R. Kelly ("Girlfriend"). All of the boys' lyrical boasting and heartbreaking was backed up by their starring roles in and guest-studded soundtrack for 2004 flick You Got Served, which remains a cult favorite.Â
While B2K called it quits that same year, their talent, success, and youth ensured more to come. Lead man Omarion became a Grammy-nominated master of bedroom-oriented R&B and also joined rapper Fizz on VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. Boog and Raz-B have also pursued careers across music and film/TV, occasionally crossing paths with their bandmates, but few outside endeavors have stirred up as much fervor as the B2K reunion announcement.
Omarion only
Thanks for bringing back the music I grew up with.
All artists showed up and did an amazing job crowd participation
They looked really nice and put on a very nice show great concert go B2k loved the concert
LIT LIT. I MISSED CHINGY, BUT AT LEAST THE SHPW STARTED ON TIME. NOT REALLY INTERMISSIONS, BUT THE HOST REALLY INVOLVED THE AUDIENCE IN A TURN UP EXPERIENCE. BOARD WALK HALL WAS DEFINITELY ACCESSIBLE AND EASY TO FIND. BOG PLACE AND THE PERFORMERS WERE AMAZING. THE WHOLE CROWD WAS HYPE. THANK YOU BOARDWALK HALL.
The concert was so good. All the artists really did an amazing job. The production, outfits, audience participation, everything was planned perfectly. So glad I went, really enjoyed myself!!
No Boring Moment. Everyone that performed did well!
The show was good but I donât think the seats fit those who are over a certain size.. My seat was next to some of was twice my size it was enough room for her.. I also seen the same issue in front of me which made another couple relocate their seats.. Overall I enjoyed the performance.
During part of the performances the sound cut out so it seem to make it hard for the artist.
Great show but half the line up wasnât there...kinda disappointed but loved the experience
Was a great experience and i had a lot of fun. The show was awesome!!!!
This concert was NOTHING short of A-MA-ZING!! I felt like a pre-teen all over again! It felt good to relive one of the most exciting times of my life. I wish we could've had more, they have so many more hits then what they performed! Everyone was amazing, I was on my feet from start to finish! Thank you B2K & GSquared Events for putting this show together !!
This was the most fun I've had in ages. I'm glad I went. All the acts were great. My only issue was that there was some technical difficulties. But other than that, a phenomenal show.
1st off they start on time!! Donât think you got a few minutes on time means on time!! Lol other then that was a great show!!
Mario and Omarion took the whole show. I felt like i was at the Apollo, it was no Djs in between acts. The hype man was coming into the crowd asking People to sing. Not worth the money
There were several acts that werenât on the bill. Those guys did not disappoint. Great show!!!
My husband and I absolutely enjoyed the show and we had great seats! Every performance was just as I imagined and the side entertainment was nice! The host came into the audience looking for âtalentâ and the people singing was entertaining. The artists sound just as they always did! My favorite was obviously B2K! So nice to see them together performing! I also enjoyed Mario and Pretty Ricky! The only thing I didnât like is the fact that I am 7 months pregnant and was in the middle of the row and people kept passing by when it wasnât a lot of room to do so! Plus towards the end of the show, people were smoking and climbing over the seats to get closer to the front and nothing was said from security to those people. As we were standing and dancing, the person next to my husband stole his seat so I was left sitting on his lap the last 1/2 or so of the show, but it was ok since it was towards the end. There was no drama, no arguments, no fights, no negativity and that was great because it was a HUGE crowd! Overall, our experience was great and we definitely look forward to more shows at the boardwalk hall!
It was a really great show had fun it was good to see B2K together again. I especially enjoyed seeing Boog and all the other artists did their thing as well.
Everything was great! They are such energetic performers, and seeing them all together again really took me back. I felt 14 years old again! The line-up was fun too, I can't believe how many artists joined the tour with them.
Show up ON TIME . Show starts at 7:30. My friends and I missed have the show coming in at 8:20.
I didnât expect to enjoy the show as much as I did. It was great. Ying Yang Twins were my favorite, then Bobby V (very surprising) and Pretty Ricky. So happy I didnât cancel!
