About

B2K In Concert

For a whirlwind two years in the early 2000s, boy band B2K held the world in their sensitive but rugged palms, creating bouncy, hip-hop–enhanced R&B with P. Diddy ("Bump, Bump, Bump") and even starring in a blockbuster dance drama (You Got Served) that showcased their lithe bodies and voices equally. Though the group split up in 2004, late 2018 brought the welcome news that Omarion, Fizz, Boog, and Raz-B are back together and ready to inspire screams and swoons around the U.S. with The Millennium Tour, a bill stacked with names who also call up the flash and flirtation of the aughts: Pretty Ricky, Chingy, Mario, Lloyd, and more.

Boys of the New Millennium, as they're officially known, began as four ambitious kids mostly from southern Los Angeles (Inglewood, Compton, Watts) brought together by industry veteran Chris Stokes, the guru behind predecessors Immature/IMx. But after B2K dropped a self-titled debut in 2002 — filled with slinky bump-n-grinders like "Gots Ta Be" and jiggy dance grooves like "Uh Huh" — it was clear they had a seductive magic all their own. Their recurring spots on the legendary, aptly named Scream tours were thrilling combinations of synchronized dance, perfect harmonies, and intimate interactions with an audience that never stopped squealing.

As their faces plastered the walls of more and more teens' bedrooms around the world, B2K worked tirelessly to please, releasing a splashy holiday collection called Santa Hooked Me Up (don't sleep on the swagged-up "Sexy Boy Christmas") and a second album, Pandemonium!, both before the dawn of 2003. The new songs expertly paired percussive production evoking Timbaland and the Neptunes with grade A songwriting by the likes of R. Kelly ("Girlfriend"). All of the boys' lyrical boasting and heartbreaking was backed up by their starring roles in and guest-studded soundtrack for 2004 flick You Got Served, which remains a cult favorite.

While B2K called it quits that same year, their talent, success, and youth ensured more to come. Lead man Omarion became a Grammy-nominated master of bedroom-oriented R&B and also joined rapper Fizz on VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. Boog and Raz-B have also pursued careers across music and film/TV, occasionally crossing paths with their bandmates, but few outside endeavors have stirred up as much fervor as the B2K reunion announcement.

The show was AMAZING! I really enjoyed Lloyd, Mario and Pretty Ricky’s performances. But of course, my favorite moment of the night was B2K!!! I never got to see them perform live so I was beyond excited! It was everything I imagined and more!!!

  • Memorable

by Courtney on 4/3/19Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

From what I actually remember. (I was lit!) I had a blast! Most fun I had at a concert in a while. I Def came for B2K however I thoroughly enjoyed everyone else who too had performed. Funk Flex’s set was dope! Pretty much had the whole stadium up and dancing throughout the audience and in the aisles. Very sad that Nipsey Hussle Past away but we were able to pay our respects and take a moment of silence. There was no drama just an overall great experience and Def a once in a lifetime moment! My money was well Spent!

The only problem is you guys have to fix the sound a little other then that it was great to watch these amazing people thank you guys for making that happen

  • Can I rewind?

    by J. B. on 4/3/19Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

Omg! The best concert ever!!! Omg!! I would do it all over again. Best seats for this show are the first sections to the left or right of the stage, not the floor. Only because people who had front row tickets didn’t get the experience because the people on the back rows on the floor rushed the front. The sections on the left and right you seen them come out, go change, you see everything

  • Phenomenal

by VivaLaDeeDee on 4/3/19Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

The concert itself was dope! I’m still on cloud 9. The wait was well work it, all the performers were amazing. Now the whole meet & greet process was a disaster. Very unorganized & the staff was unprofessional. For the price that I paid for this concert I did not deserve that treatment I was given. They need to work on that. Otherwise no complaints about the concert.

The event started on time, entertained through out the concert with a comedian and DJ with crowd participation! The staff & ushers were helpful with assisting consumers to their seats and sections. The best night ever!

  • Awesome Lineup. Fantastic Entertainment!

by RagusasugaR on 4/3/19Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

Loved every minute of every act. Only wish B2K's set was longer, because they're the headliners and the ones everyone really came to see. Hope they do be music soon. Guests were AMAZING! Loved seeing Ashanti and Ja Rule pop up. Fantastic. The whole thing was just fantastic and so well done. Worth waiting 15 years for this tour. Let's hope they do it again, sooner!

Excellent show. Took my homegirl to the show and she loved and afterwards she told me that this was the first show she has ever went to and plus it was her birthday so this is great that she has something that she can remember.
