About

B2K In Concert

For a whirlwind two years in the early 2000s, boy band B2K held the world in their sensitive but rugged palms, creating bouncy, hip-hop–enhanced R&B with P. Diddy ("Bump, Bump, Bump") and even starring in a blockbuster dance drama (You Got Served) that showcased their lithe bodies and voices equally. Though the group split up in 2004, late 2018 brought the welcome news that Omarion, Fizz, Boog, and Raz-B are back together and ready to inspire screams and swoons around the U.S. with The Millennium Tour, a bill stacked with names who also call up the flash and flirtation of the aughts: Pretty Ricky, Chingy, Mario, Lloyd, and more.

Boys of the New Millennium, as they're officially known, began as four ambitious kids mostly from southern Los Angeles (Inglewood, Compton, Watts) brought together by industry veteran Chris Stokes, the guru behind predecessors Immature/IMx. But after B2K dropped a self-titled debut in 2002 — filled with slinky bump-n-grinders like "Gots Ta Be" and jiggy dance grooves like "Uh Huh" — it was clear they had a seductive magic all their own. Their recurring spots on the legendary, aptly named Scream tours were thrilling combinations of synchronized dance, perfect harmonies, and intimate interactions with an audience that never stopped squealing.

As their faces plastered the walls of more and more teens' bedrooms around the world, B2K worked tirelessly to please, releasing a splashy holiday collection called Santa Hooked Me Up (don't sleep on the swagged-up "Sexy Boy Christmas") and a second album, Pandemonium!, both before the dawn of 2003. The new songs expertly paired percussive production evoking Timbaland and the Neptunes with grade A songwriting by the likes of R. Kelly ("Girlfriend"). All of the boys' lyrical boasting and heartbreaking was backed up by their starring roles in and guest-studded soundtrack for 2004 flick You Got Served, which remains a cult favorite.

While B2K called it quits that same year, their talent, success, and youth ensured more to come. Lead man Omarion became a Grammy-nominated master of bedroom-oriented R&B and also joined rapper Fizz on VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. Boog and Raz-B have also pursued careers across music and film/TV, occasionally crossing paths with their bandmates, but few outside endeavors have stirred up as much fervor as the B2K reunion announcement.

As fans, we have waited 15+ years for this experience and the Millennium Tour definitely delivered. It would have been great to see a female act like 702 or even Ashanti perform also, but I was pleased overall. The guys looked great, they sounded great, and when they stopped to give tribute to Nipsey Hussle, I lost it. Great Experience, worth the money, and dare I say it... worth the wait.

I felt that all artist should have had the same amount of time to perform. Well obviously B2K was the headliner so that makes sense that they were up there longer. Chingy only did a snippet of his song. I felt he could have had a little more time to be on stage. We as fans have waited for this moment and to only see him perform for a second was not cool!

  • B2k blast of fun

Everyone was hyped up and really had a blast! The performances was one point and full of energy! It was exactly what I was looking for in a concert. Good clean fun!!

  • Awesome concert

The concert was everything. It was worth the wait. I was impressed that it started on time and the amount of songs that were performed. The only disappointment is that B2K did not perform many songs as a group. I feel like Pretty Ricky or Yin Yang twins could have closed better than they did. I truly enjoyed them but felt slated because barely any of there hits were performed. I did enjoy j boogs battle tho. But even that was short. i feel like B2K teased us. but i am appreciative that they gave us one last concert. My fav was yin yang twins and pretty ricky.. lloyd and mario were also great. Chingy and bobby was koo too. everyone did an amazing job.

The concert was amazing! I had so much fun. I attended the concert by myself, however, everyone there was very chill. Every performer did an excellent job! The line up was insane, Chingy, Bobby V, Lloyd, Mario, Pretty Ricky and more and not to mention extra surprises who came in too like Amerie and Ray J, etc. And also other celebrities who were in the audience as well like Michael B Jordan! 😍 lol the host/comedian was HILARIOUS too!

  • A blast from my teenage years

by JazzyM on 4/17/19The Forum - InglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

Overall great concert! I loved all of the acts even though I think Bobby V should have been on first since he has mostly slow songs it sort of brought the crowd down after getting hyped with Chingy. Also with B2K being the headliner I assumed that they would be on stage long I love Omarion but would have also liked to see the entire group on stage longer. Also I absolutely LOVED that they had multiple tributes for Nipsey Hussle it means a lot being born in raise in south central LA.

  • The whole show was great !!!

by Chelly on 4/17/19The Forum - InglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

Everybody on the tour energy was greaT ying yang twins had that place rockin' . B2k i could feel their energy and you can tell they are doing this for a check 😂😂 there will be no new album just this tour and we won't see them again for another 5-10yrs . Hope they can move past it but i could definitely tell from 2003 energy and vibe to 2019 it's totally different and i been to every B2k concert in la back in the day !!!!

  • Wasn’t what I expected

    by E. on 4/16/19The Forum - InglewoodRating: 2 out of 5

I’ve been to a few concerts especially in LA, and unfortunately the millennium tour wasn’t the best. It was unorganized, not what I thought it was going to be. The line up was random and I feel they could have done better with who selected to be on this tour. B2K moves came off totally rehearsed and they didn’t show much energy. Pretty Ricky was by far the best performance of the night. Had I known this is what the concert would have been like I wouldn’t have bought the tickets.
