B2K In Concert
For a whirlwind two years in the early 2000s, boy band B2K held the world in their sensitive but rugged palms, creating bouncy, hip-hop–enhanced R&B with P. Diddy ("Bump, Bump, Bump") and even starring in a blockbuster dance drama (You Got Served) that showcased their lithe bodies and voices equally. Though the group split up in 2004, late 2018 brought the welcome news that Omarion, Fizz, Boog, and Raz-B are back together and ready to inspire screams and swoons around the U.S. with The Millennium Tour, a bill stacked with names who also call up the flash and flirtation of the aughts: Pretty Ricky, Chingy, Mario, Lloyd, and more.
Boys of the New Millennium, as they're officially known, began as four ambitious kids mostly from southern Los Angeles (Inglewood, Compton, Watts) brought together by industry veteran Chris Stokes, the guru behind predecessors Immature/IMx. But after B2K dropped a self-titled debut in 2002 — filled with slinky bump-n-grinders like "Gots Ta Be" and jiggy dance grooves like "Uh Huh" — it was clear they had a seductive magic all their own. Their recurring spots on the legendary, aptly named Scream tours were thrilling combinations of synchronized dance, perfect harmonies, and intimate interactions with an audience that never stopped squealing.
As their faces plastered the walls of more and more teens' bedrooms around the world, B2K worked tirelessly to please, releasing a splashy holiday collection called Santa Hooked Me Up (don't sleep on the swagged-up "Sexy Boy Christmas") and a second album, Pandemonium!, both before the dawn of 2003. The new songs expertly paired percussive production evoking Timbaland and the Neptunes with grade A songwriting by the likes of R. Kelly ("Girlfriend"). All of the boys' lyrical boasting and heartbreaking was backed up by their starring roles in and guest-studded soundtrack for 2004 flick You Got Served, which remains a cult favorite.
While B2K called it quits that same year, their talent, success, and youth ensured more to come. Lead man Omarion became a Grammy-nominated master of bedroom-oriented R&B and also joined rapper Fizz on VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. Boog and Raz-B have also pursued careers across music and film/TV, occasionally crossing paths with their bandmates, but few outside endeavors have stirred up as much fervor as the B2K reunion announcement.
Omarion only
The show was amazing!!! I would Love to do it all over again.
The show was amazing. To see them in person and to hear their actual vocals live was the highlight of my year.
The concert was extremely long due to the massive lineup. Nevertheless, all of the performers did a spectacular job. The headliners, B2K was well worth the 15 year wait. They gave their all and they didn’t disappoint at all.
I’ve never missed a B2K concert while growing up in Detroit. I moved to FL 14 yrs ago and flew back home (though we had shows in FL), just to relive those moments with my high school friends. The concert definitely superseded my expectations!! Every performer did an amazing job and I’m thinking about catching the next show in Florida next month 😁
I truly enjoyed the show. What i didn’t expect was for Omarion to perform more of his songs than B2K performed there’s! So i wasn’t too thrilled about that part.
I attended the Detroit show at the little Caesars arena and I had a great time. Great throwback music.. I have a few concerns though and I’m sure others do to.. WHERE WAS LLOYD??? I’m still tryna figure that out. HE WAS A NO SHOW.. And the seats were very uncomfortable. I couldn’t stretch my legs out and I had no elbow room. I had to stand up every 30 minutes to an hour to get my body back right.. smh but other than that, I had a blast
The entire concert was amazing only thing is one of the artist never showed (Lloyd ) and nobody said anything.
I Had A Real Fun Time The Energy And Vibe Was Off The Charts. It Was A Bummer That Lloyd Didn't Come To Our City, B2K & PR Coulda Done 2-4 More Songs 🤷🏾♀️And Them Stairs Was NO Joke. But Overall It Was My Money's Worth And I Had Fun.
My family and I really had a great time at the concert this past Wednesday! It was so amazing to see B2K back together again! The energy of the entire show was amazing! Each act did a great job and had the stadium rockin!! I can’t really even say who was my favorite cause they all were hype! We were sad that Lloyd didn’t show up but it was all good anyway!
This was better than the Scream Tour. 15 years later, all of the guys still have performance quality.
It was very nice! I enjoyed the show from beginning to end. It was a smooth night with no issues.
The concert was awesome loved every minute of it. It was too lit!
I felt like I was 15 all over again I had a ball I wish they do it again
The Millenium Tour was an amazing performance and allowed people of my age group to relieve our teenage years. I left with no voice but joy in my soul.
The concert started on time. The transition between performers was swift. It was an awesome experience 🙂
I had such a great time living my teenage years again. The location is nice just far out.
I can't even begin to describe how amazing this show was. From beginning to end. All amazing performers. But seeing B2K back together after almost 15 years was emotional in the best possible way. In still on a high
I loved the show so much b2k was just as amazing as when they debuted. I do wish they performed together more , the show was pretty short , Omarion didn’t bring out the girl dancer for touch like his other shows , there were so many songs they missed out on to perform but over all I appreciate the fact they gave me a chance to experience my childhood as an adult and feel childish , boy crazy and free again. I’m definitely going again
I grew up on B2K and have been to every B2K concert. To see them get back together after 15 years and still out on a phenomenal show !!! It was so much energy !!!
This was an amazing experience to see my favorite male group. Great venue. The security was tight and good at keeping people in their right seats.
