About

Drawing comparisons to André 3000 for his eccentricity and versatility as a rapper, singer, writer and producer, B.o.B. is a six-time Grammy nominee set to release his third album Underground Luxury in 2013. Born Bobby Ray Simmons, Jr. in Decatur, Georgia in 1988, he played trumpet and other instruments in grade school, later receiving a keyboard from his parents that he began producing beats on. By the time he was in high school, he had already secured management and sold his first beat at the age of 15. He signed to Atlantic and its imprint Rebel Rock in 2007, and released six mixtapes and two EPs before putting out his debut studio album The Adventures of Bobby Ray in April 2010, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard chart. Three of its six singles, including "Nothin’ on You" with Bruno Mars, "Airplane" feat. Hayley Williams, and "Magic" with Rivers Cuomo were top ten U.S. hits. He also won a Soul Train Music Award and Teen Choice Award in 2010. B.o.B’s second album Strange Clouds was released in May 2012, spawning three platinum-selling singles "So Good", "Both of Us" with Taylor Swift, and the title track feat. Lil Wayne, and again reaching No. 1 on the charts. B.o.B has played concerts for ticket buyers across the globe, and toured with A$AP Rocky, Cee Lo, Rihanna and Wiz Khalifa.

by JJuice on 5/16/16The Cambridge Room at House Of Blues - Dallas

Great show. The opening acts kinda sucked but it was to be expected. Nobody else was listed on tickets/show details. No big deal. B.O.B. did his thing though...Performed several past hits as well as current music and a few new songs to come out soon. Dude even did played an acoustic guitar and sang. Great energy, good sound system, nice 8 mile like venue. It was live and poppin'

B.o.B was awesome. Me and my friend had the pleasure of attending B.o.B's Christmas Eve Bash in Atlanta. It was awesome, it was a small venue but very intimate. I will definitely attend next year.

    great concert

by DDIVERD on 6/10/15Saratoga Performing Arts Center - Saratoga Springs

Even though we are late fifties, enjoyed the show. wanted to see Charlie XCX, had to wait six hours, but worth it. Liked Echosmith, Walk the Moon, not so much BOB, not into rap. DJ music between sets way too loud, but good tunes, the gave out earplugs, and I like loud music. Charlie walked through the set, obviously now way too big for this type of venue, seemed bored, but her band was great, new Asian guitarist really hit it, always liked her drummer-a lot of attitude! I love Sydney the singer for Echosmith- now that is enthusiasm, she is 18!!!! Brought me back to my youth concerts, and the energy, SPAC is a great venue. Left before the Voice dude, Sawyer, really did not care for him. My wife had a great time. Somewhat spoiled by two skanks in front of us smoking an electronic THC hitter, no not an electronic cig, I know the difference. I did Narc on them because they were sharing with teenagers. but security came and said they took care of them but did not, cops nowhere in sight, except when we left, they were at the entrance. Don't know if there were planeclothes-but these chicks were obvious, and acted weird and knocking into people.

    Amazing

by MissJay93 on 1/20/15House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

Bought the tickets for a family member who's a really big fan and I just tagged along. I've been to the HOB before so I knew it was standing room only. The concert itself was quite surprising and really good. I knew a lot more songs than I expected which made the whole experience more enjoyable. Because of the small venue he was able to interact with the crowd and that was fantastic. Overall it was a really great concert and we enjoyed ourselves.

    B.O.B Did his thang!!

by djkwest on 12/2/14The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver Spring

B.O.B was on point, he was engaging, played all his smashes even ventured out into the crowd at one time which was a big surprise given how crowded it was. He played for 90 minutes and introduced a few up and comers during his show which normally would be annoying but he performed with them instead of taking a break so it wasn't bad. I'd definitely go see him again when/if he comes back to DC.

    Sadly, terrible.

by Anonymous on 11/26/14The Fox Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino - Mashantucket

My favorite artist and he sadly didn't bring it at all. This concert series is to promote his new label and he had more 16 year old rappers on stage than we could keep count of. Barely played any of his good songs.

Not for the traditional B.o.B fan

by IndyRAKtown on 11/17/14Saint Andrews Hall - Detroit

I'll admit, I've never heard of Kevin Gates and after seeing him perform, that's no coincidence. I'm not a hardcore rap fan. I like the radio stuff. But I wasn't there to see Kevin Gates. I've seen B.o.B once before and he put on an awesome show so I was excited to see him again. He was pretty disappointing if you like his radio stuff. He only played a couple of his hits. The most annoying part was his entourage taking the stage. I didn't spend my hard-earned money to see this 16yo joke and the rest of his crew perform but alas nobody asked for my opinion on the setlist. The worst part however, was his "song" about white girls on the tour bus. Now I understand that rap is about misogynistic lyrics and degradation of women that I don't have to agree with but that was just terrible. He has some quality songs and he's clearly an intelligent human being but he definitely caters to the hedonistic neanderthals on this tour.

I was still hyped up after the show!

by MissGlenn on 11/14/14House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

It was truly an experience! The opening act did a good job. Kevin Gates was entertaining. I bought the vip meet & greet tickets so I meet B.O.B who was a really nice guy; down to earth, & very attractive! I was able to rap & sing along with most songs. Everyone's energy was on 10!! I can't wait to see him perform again!
