Not an ideal location to see a comedy show in my opinion. Its basically a giant ballroom with uncomfortable chairs crammed together and the acoustics in the room were so echoe-y it was hard to understand what was being said.
started off a little slow, but picked up pretty quickly - jokes were introspective and well thought out, good times...
Gotta be something else besides race jokes to joke about. Very uncomfortable. Expected so much becoming a fan after Parks & Rec, Master of None. More intelligent, more witty, more time on stage. The "Niggardly" joke was just awful btw.
Aziz was great. His comedy is heartfelt, pure and full of insight. The venue, however, was terrible. Resorts World was just a large conference room with small chairs and an awful sound system. There were times that it was difficult to understand what was being said. The image quality on the big screens was bad as well. I will not be attending another event there. It felt like we were there for a bad seminar.
The poor sound system in the venue made him difficult to understand. What we did understand was just ok.
The Aziz show was worth the time and money. He was funny and entertaining. His ability to do impromptu entertainment in addition to his planned material was notable. The only reason I gave the show four stars and not five was the venue. The banquet room where he performed had terrible acoustics. I had to concentrate very hard to understand some of what he said due to the sound system.
Our group of 3 really enjoyed Aziz and his opener Will Sylvince. I personally have seen comedians for nearly 20 years of all comic backgrounds (clean to raunchy) and Aziz was great to add to my list. We have seen many comics at the Sands in Bethlehem and are never dissapointed in the venue. Overall a good night, solid comedy and clever material!
From start to finish everything went good would go again
Low energy. Just a conversation. I anticipated Aziz being up on stage dressed up, running around with some polished material that would be humorous, overall. Not so much...and he was over half an hour late. And warm-up act really sucked.
Aziz was not only open honest and humbled about his past; his take on being “woke” in 2019 and general observations were hilarious.
Show started late but did not get the notice till after the show because I could not use my phone BEFORE the show! Venue not equipped to handle the crowd, too long a line for beverages. Aziz seemed tired, ready to be done with the tour. Poor AC, overheard that several units were “down”. No wonder you dumped tickets less than a week before the show.
Very funny, well done. First act good as well. Nice event.
This show was absolutely amazing. Both performers exceeded expectations. Plenty of good laughs. The show started pretty promptly. The seats were comfortable. Overall just a awesome experience. Thank you!
Seats were great, Aziz was awesome as usual! Wish there some time during or after the event to take his pics
I had a good time seeing the Aziz Ansari and Nimesh Patel. It was very historic to have two Indian comedians on the stage at DAR constitution hall. Sound was great. (I wish they had screens for people in the nose bleeds but it’s a historic place). They did have a memo to say no phone usage during the show and they did escort people out which was distracting at times. I would attend a show again at DAR.
I thoroughly enjoyed the entire show. From the sheltered first comic, the amazingly brash second and Aziz himself, it was a stellar night. The weather was great and sun setting to our backs the gf and I laughed our abs sore. I wanna give Aziz a huge shout out for the bravery in his comical message and gratitude in the reminder to live in the moment. Be present, that's all there is and ever will be 👏
The event was funny from start to finish. Can't wait to go back
EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS! I couldn't stop laughing! Loved it!
Bad show, nice theatre but the show was the worst stand-up i’ve seen and insulting to the paying audience.
