Avenged Sevenfold is a heavy metal quintet from Huntington Beach, California that has spent over two decades as one of the genre’s biggest mainstream crossover acts. They’ve earned six certified platinum albums, four Billboard Hot 100-charting singles and nearly three billion YouTube streams. Formed in 1999, the band adopted their stage names M. Shadows, Zacky Vengeance, The Rev and Synyster Gates ahead of their 2001 debut album, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet. It wasn’t until the band added bassist Johnny Christ and transitioned to a more progressive metal sound for their 2003 follow-up Waking the Fallen that they began to resemble the uninhibited, creative force that fans recognize today. A7X’s 2005 major label debut City of Evil propelled the band to a wider audience behind the breakout single “Bat Country,” and their 2007 self-titled album built on those gains with a No. 4 debut on the Billboard 200. Following the death of drummer The Rev in 2009, Avenged Sevenfold regrouped for 2010’s Nightmare, which topped the Billboard 200 and hosted their highest Hot 100 hit “Nightmare” as well as the touching tribute “So Far Away,” which became their first No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. 2013’s Hail to the King also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and was followed by 2016’s The Stage, which garnered the band’s first Grammy nomination in the Best Rock Song category for its title track. In 2023, Avenged Sevenfold came roaring back after five years off the road with Life Is but a Dream…

Avenged Sevenfold headed out on the 2024 Life Is But a Dream…North American Tour in March 2024. After kicking off at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, NY, the tour included shows in North America through the rest of the month.

The death of the "Rev" has left a permanent scar on the band, that they are proud to wear. Sadly to say, this was my last front row experience. I knew it might be and what better way to end it than with avenged sevenfold. They perform their work with so much passion that I had to be a close part of it. At 65, this is it!
The ONLY reason I gave this event 4 stars is because of the opening bands, (which were terrible). Avenged Sevenfold was awesome! They put on a great show without alot of talking and fluff and crap, and they played alot of their best songs. I would definitely go see them again! Mmmmmmmmm Shadows.....
avenged was amazing (what else is new), and The Black Pacific was great as well, but the other two bands would have been better at a different show.
The line up before a7x should have been different. Big B should have been after This Is My curse, The singer taking his shirt off was repulsive to some people. However A7X made us forget about it.
The band Avenged Sevenfold was the best part about the show. The three bands preceeding the main event took way too much time, and the set-up in-between was horrid. It was 20 minutes to a half hour in between each act. I came to see Avenged Sevenfold and waited almost 3 hours before they started to play. I squeezed up to the front and the crowd went crazy when they finally came on. The crowd was surging and pushing and because I was trying to focus on not getting elbowed in the face or pushed over I wasn't able to fully focus on the show. I finally drew back to the very back of the room by the bar to watch the rest of the show and get a drink. While back there I met Jared Padelecki. He was so nice, and it was cool to see somebody famous who was a fan.
This show was fantastic! I had a spot right against the stage next to Synyster Gates. These guys put on one hell of a show!
Best band ever.. i love them.. i was so close where Syn was n it was amazing... HIS AMAZING..... love the band.... AVENGED SEVENFOLD forREVer...!!!!
This is one night i will never forget. Avenged sevenfold kicks ass!!!!!!! we flew from wichita ks to see this show money well spent. cant wait for the after x-mas tour going to drive to nebraska to check out the show.
A7X ROCKS. I saw them back in August, but never wrote a review. The openers were pretty good. Stone Sour was awesome. A7X rocked as usual, and Disturbed are awesome aswell. Overall an awesome show. I just wish sevenfold would have played bat country, little piece of heaven, scream etc. But I hear they are playing those now that they are headlining their new tour. YOU MUST SEE THIS BAND!
The Joint is a great place to see a show. I would definitely go back to see other shows but A7X was incredible. Can't say enough about it.

We had to stand for over 3.5 hours just waiting to get inside; we couldn't sit down if we tried to sit down to rest our legs we were yelled at by a very rude woman. The venue in itself wasn't bad; the sound quality was good, but just the waiting to get inside wasn't great; but the band rocked!!! Like A7X always rocks!!!! I just wish we would have been able to sit and wait rather than stand and wait for the doors to actually open.
It was the best Avenged Sevenfold concert I've been to so far. They ROCKED!!
The show was.freakin amazing. Avenged has a lot of energy the show was very emotional fun fast and hard. I ve seen 2 shows prior to this one this year and this one was the very best.
There is nothing like an Avenged Sevenfold Show. Especially with the raw power of a General Admission show with no seating. Room for the pits and to let loose. This is My Curse a local band didn't impress much. Black Pacific got the crowd going. And Big B was good, for his genre. But it's a rock show, so it kind of sucked to see him getting booed. Still Watching Avenged Sevenfold in a smaller theater is well worth the possibilty of getting knocked over. So close to the band! Even caught a pick. And all in the city of sin (evil). The best show I've ever been too!

amazing show, avenged was in top form! Not only did they play their best songs they covered Pantera's Walk with a dude from the audience on vocals. They had an awesome tribute to the REV and the stage show was amazing.
Avenged Sevenfold rocked the Joint at the Hard Rock! The Joint, a 4000-person venue, sold out fast, which didn't surprise anyone. This band can really work a crowd. There were thousands of hard-core fans singing along to every word. It was Zacky's Birthday so we all sang "Happy Birthday"! It was really difficult to wait through 3 opening acts. By the third opener, it was clear that we were growing inpatient. By the time A7X hit the stage, the crowd was frenzied. We were not disappointed. We traveled from Washington state in order to watch this band. We met others Nebraska, Ohio, Alaska and Canada who travelled to Vegas to see their favorite Band. This was an Awesome Concert. Can't wait to do it again!!
