About

Avenged Sevenfold is a heavy metal quintet from Huntington Beach, California that has spent over two decades as one of the genre’s biggest mainstream crossover acts. They’ve earned six certified platinum albums, four Billboard Hot 100-charting singles and nearly three billion YouTube streams. Formed in 1999, the band adopted their stage names M. Shadows, Zacky Vengeance, The Rev and Synyster Gates ahead of their 2001 debut album, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet. It wasn’t until the band added bassist Johnny Christ and transitioned to a more progressive metal sound for their 2003 follow-up Waking the Fallen that they began to resemble the uninhibited, creative force that fans recognize today. A7X’s 2005 major label debut City of Evil propelled the band to a wider audience behind the breakout single “Bat Country,” and their 2007 self-titled album built on those gains with a No. 4 debut on the Billboard 200. Following the death of drummer The Rev in 2009, Avenged Sevenfold regrouped for 2010’s Nightmare, which topped the Billboard 200 and hosted their highest Hot 100 hit “Nightmare” as well as the touching tribute “So Far Away,” which became their first No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. 2013’s Hail to the King also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and was followed by 2016’s The Stage, which garnered the band’s first Grammy nomination in the Best Rock Song category for its title track. In 2023, Avenged Sevenfold came roaring back after five years off the road with Life Is but a Dream…

    A7X!

by CarrieB0925 on 12/14/10The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas

First off I have to say that A7X was absolutely amazing!! I was not a fan of the opening band (this is my curse), who were the local battle of the bands winners. The singers voice was terrible and just overall annoying. The second band (Black Pacific) was really great! They put on a great performance! I probably would have enjoyed Big B more if I wasn't so impatiently waiting for A7X to come on and besides, Big B really isn't my style. I had a great time that night and would do it all again, aside from being trampled in the mosh pit that is :) A7X always puts on a great show! And I have a little crush on Synyster ;)

    PERFECTION

by JAXX0636 on 12/14/10The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas

This was the second holiday havoc that I attended. Once again It was totally awesome! I love the hard rock the new joint venue is so nice. And, the hard rock casino did some major renovations. Parking was always such a pain. This time I was so happy that there was another garage which prevented pile ups in the garage after the show when everyone is leaving at the same time. This year Avenged sevenfold headlined the tour. This was my third time seeing them play. They are my favorite band and they always put on a great show. The stage is decent size. They had some pretty cool pyrotechnics. The bar area is nice they had a lot of bartenders for the event and that kept the lines moving. I really don't think there is a bad spot in the place. and there is two giant screens on both ends of the stage so you can see the hot rock stars close up if your like me and don't want to be pressed up against a bunch of stinky sweaty people at the front of the stage LOL! It totally rocked and I would recommend holiday havoc to anyone who wants to have a good time. Oh and having A7X headline the tour just made it totally amazing. R.I.P. Jimmy "the REV" Sullivan

    Performance was breath taking!

by whistleblower4ever on 12/14/10The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas

This show was amazing! The band members played just as good live as their albums, which is pretty impressive. There was mad respect for Rev. One of the best concerts I have been too. They even threw in a little Pantera song, "WalK" and sang happy birthday to Zacky:) Just a flawless show

    Avenged Sevenfold

by Anonymous on 12/14/10The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Three of us traveled from Calif. & Az to Vegas to see this show. I have seen Avenged many times and usually they are amazing! Unfortunately, this show was not. The sound was horrible!!! They had it so loud that the singers voice was muffled and we couldn't hear his normally incredible voice. We were also led to believe by the concierge and another guy handing out wristbands to Vanity nightclub that Avenged would be at the club after the show. We went to Vanity and never saw the band which was really disappointing after being told by so many Hard Rock staffers that they would be there. Needless to say, after spending a small fortune to travel and on tickets to the show it was extremely disappointing!!!!

    Avenged Sevenfold was amazing!!!

by ShesATiger on 12/14/10The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Avenged Sevenfold was amazing!! I actually think they did better this show then the last time I saw them. The first band that played was really good, the second was alright, and Big B just didn't fit in with the Show. I think they could have gotten someone who fit in with the show better. I think The Joint was the best place to have the show as well.. I would go back to a show there in a heart beat.

by Anonymous on 12/13/10The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas

This was my first Avenged concert ever and it blew my mind. It was an amazing concert and I would do it all over again. I will say though that if you are don't like being touched and squished avoid the "pit" area. It was crazy but so worth it. This was an amazing concert and Avenged did spectacular!!!! They sounded amazing and the venue was nice as well. Avenged Sevenfold you guys rock and are truly amazing and talented people!!!!

    Avenged Sevenfold was AWESOME!!!!!!!

by xMissGatesx on 12/13/10The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The bands before A7X were pretty good,Black Pacific rocked and the guitarist was entertaining. Big B was stupid and was the only artist that no one wanted to see. In the middle of his songs everyone chanted SEVENFOLD and boooed him off. His set was too long and he shouldnt have been at a metal show in the first place. Sevenfold made up for it tho their performance was very personal and great,Shadows brought tears to my eyes?

    A7X FoREVer!

by Anonymous on 12/13/10The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The concert overall was good! My girlfriend and I were both pleasantly surprised by The Black Pacific. Opening band => not so much. Big B didn't belong on the bill, but did good regardless. Avenged Sevenfold's set was AMAZING! The pyrotechnics and sound quality made it worth the trip up to Sin City from Phoenix.

    Avenge Sevenfold was great, but.....

by PepperRealtor on 12/13/10The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas

What was up with the Rappers? That was awful! Also we sat in the balcony and the beam for the building was blocking most of the view and all of the view of the video screen. The sound up there wasn't very good either. It shouldn't even contain seats... so bad. I've seen A7X before and they seemed a little off.. but who cares, it's an awesome band when given the right venue. Black Pacific was TERIFFIC by the way... purchased a CD, listening now.

    Holiday Havoc

by Niciki on 12/13/10The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Awsome show! I love that X107.5 puts a local band on the line-up. I think that maybe the line-up could have been rethought. Avenged Sevenfold is more rock or metal than hip-hop so Big B was strange on the line up. I noticed that many people around me did not like Big B, and I could have used more rock.

    A7X brought their best

by excessiveDAHMER on 12/13/10The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Avenged Sevenfold kicked many asses at this show.- R.I.P. the Rev - A7X was visibly still shaken by Jimmy's loss (at least to me) but didn't hesitate to thank the fans for giving them the strength to keep going. This show was awesome, drove from SoCal to Vegas specifically for it and had a blast.

by HankROCKSTAR on 12/13/10The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Some of the opening acts were unimpressive but Black Pacific set the mood and Avenged Sevenfold rocked the house. This was by far the best concert and venue I have ever been to. A7X is a must see live for all fans I will be returning next year if they come back through Las Vegas.
