About

For over two decades, Atmosphere has maintained a course of rigorous output, releasing over two dozen studio albums, EP's and collaborative side projects in as many years. In that time, the venerated duo have built a legacy out of bringing honesty, humility and vulnerability to the forefront of their music, continually challenging themselves to evolve without straying too far from their roots. Slug has proven masterful at storytelling and writing compelling narratives, leaving a trail of his own influence while paying homage to the rappers and songwriters that helped shape him. Ant has skillfully molded the soundtracks with inspiration from soul, funk, rock, reggae, and the wizardry of hip-hop's pioneering DJ's and producers, creating his own trademark sounds while providing the pulse for songs about life, love, stress and setbacks. At its essence, Atmosphere has been a musical shepherd, and with each new album comes a new journey as they guide generations of listeners through this thing called life.

The dj in between the different bands was very good. He had a lot of sick beats and a good genre of music to flow with them. The first band was not good cuz I dontremeber them soo they obviously didn't leave a good mark. The 2nd act was good that one guy rap pin and his buddy that fixed the keyboard I wish I got his cd. The one after that was good I think they were called blue print. They where different but funky. OMG atmosphere was sooooooooo sick!!! He would talk to us, and make motions that made me feel apartofthe concert. The stage setup was really cool too wit the trees and snow. This was my 2nd concert and I totally wish it was my first I was probably the best night i have had in a vey long time. I waited there in front for 4hours and it was totally worth every last seccond!!!

Great venue. I saw Atmosphere in new Haven a few years back and it was nothing compared to his show at the national. there was so much energy in the crowd and the band was feeding on it. Incredible show.

  • The illest.

    by Elvillainbueno on 4/29/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

First off, DJ ABILITIES?!?! The guy has more talent in one finger than the entire cast of America's Got Talent. Secondly, Blueprint, a personal favorite. Lasty, ATMOSPHERE?!?!?!?! They're only the realest dynamic duo out there. I had been waiting 5 years for this chance, and it was the illest.

  • Amazing Show!

  • Slug killed it

From the openers to Slug, the concert was phenomenal. Everyone had great energy, the crowd was respectful, and, of course, seeing Atmosphere was beyond awesome. They played a lot of the classic songs, God Loves Ugly, Sunshine, Shrapnel.

  • Slug killed it.

    by ACunes on 4/28/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

First off, I gotta say I've been listening to Slug for around 5 years now and I've heard everything from Overcast! to To All My Friends and everything inbetween. Still nothing I could have ever imagined, sickest selection of classic atmosphere n the new stuff. The remixs n freestyles were amazing, the fast upbeat remix slug did of God's Bathroom Floor was soooo dope. The entire crowd was there for atmosphere and you could feel, the whole floor was vibing to the music together, slug kept feedin us energy and we'd give it right back. In my opinion the small venue was the best way to see atmosphere, it was sold out, the sound at Terminal 5 was insane and the mic was loud n fast, and Slugs got nasty stage presence that could've kept me there till 5 A.M. Atmosphere is by far my favorite live performer, I would HIGHLY recommend that anyone who's ever heard of Atmosphere go to one of there shows whenever they can! Get back to NYC ASAP SLUG!

This was the best concert i've ever been too. Atmosphere played for over an hour and a half. Sab the artist, Grieves and budo, Blueprint, and DJ Abilities were all amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better show. Perfect combo of new and old songs for atmosphere.
