    Atlantic Starr

by Timothy McLean on 1/30/19Birchmere - Alexandria

I attend at least 15-20 concerts a year since 2013 and the Atlantic Starr concert is my all time favorite. We travelled down memory lane with some oldies but goodies and my wife and I was singing all the way home. Please come back to Maryland you guys are great. I would even have an event if Atlantic Starr would agree to come back.

    STILL Sound Good!

    by 10gamma on 1/29/19Birchmere - Alexandria

Truth be told, I have always been a huge Atlantic Starr fan, and the last time that I saw them perform live was easily 25 years ago or more at a soul festival. Knowing that the group no longer consisted of the original and spectacular female lead (Sharon Bryant), or the capable and familiar replacement (Barbara Weathers?, I think), as well as one of the important Lewis brother lead singers (David), I was a little leery of what I would see. Combine that with the "Unsung" episode that they did a few years ago (which seemed to suggest that they had disbanded), I was pleasantly surprised to see that they are still performing well (with a fine lead female vocal replacement and a suitable 2nd male lead performer). They performed most if not all of the HITS that I came to hear, and the roughly 90-minute set was tight and on point! If they come to your area (especially if they are playing at a small and intimate venue like The Birchmere), by all means, CHECK THEM OUT!!

    Love Atlantic Starr

by Ag on 1/29/19Birchmere - Alexandria

Been a fan of Atlantic Starr for years. Was so excited to get the chance to see them and the Birchmere was the perfect place to do so. They were awesome. Even though only two if the Lewis brothers are still in the group the other members still put on a wonderful show.

    by D. W. on 1/29/19Birchmere - Alexandria

The entertainers were fabulous, I enjoyed from start to finish. I had a wonderful server at table 100 who made the evening enjoyable as well. It didn’t seem so bad being in the back of the room .. :-)

Group was excellent Concert just okay

by bjware on 2/19/18Cramton Auditorium - Washington

As Atlantic Starr goes, if you are a fan and they sing most of there hits you are going to enjoy the concert. Host Chris Thomas was his usual dirty funny self. Wayne's daughter opened the concert after some comedy entertainment by Thomas, she was nice. Atlantic Starr's latest Female lead is great and the native Washingtonian male lead was also very good. The concerts ending song was not very good, And shouldn't have ended the show with. David was back and that was a pleasant surprise, even though he just sang "Always". The Venue was just okay, no drinks or snacks or refreshments for purchase made the event a little boring All in all it was an okay concert!

    Juneteenth Review

by berryjj on 6/25/13Sam's Town Casino - Robinsonville

Always excited about Juneteenth! Lenny Williams started the show off with a blast! He was superb; soul stirring and crowd pleasing. His energy was electrifying and absolutely kept the audience engaged! He could have done the entire show!!! Sir Charles Jones followed, but appeared to be a little tired and not as stimulating as he usually is. He literally raced thru "Is anybody lonely." He may be tired of singing it, but fans are not tired of hearing it! Last, Atlantic Starr, the band looked great, singers outfits were horrible! Something you would wear to a nursing home to perform. They started out slow, but overall, I enjoyed it. The sound system obviously was not tested; it was too loud! And, Thaddeus Matthews, "Well damn." Too much discussion of female reproductive system. Some things are better left unsaid! RESPECT

Best place to take a date!

by Sha108 on 4/8/13B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

I have never been here before and I was thinking of place to go on short notice ( a day before). I was considering going to dinner and a comedy club but I looked around and I came accross this website on a google search. I was impressed because there's two options (depending on the night) You can either go to the concert or to the other side where it's jazz and dinner. If you are on a first date I recommend you take her to the concert. They bring the food and drinks right to your table while you watch the concert. If you go these are a must... Get there a half an hour early so can get great seating. The website says they reserve seats but i'm not sure as she briefly look at my tickets and convienietly sat me to a open table but I may be wrong about this. Go on an empty stomach- THE FOOD IS GREATTTTTTTTTTTT. Pros- The food is terrific The concert is well prepared You will impress your date- Super romantic After the concert you can go to the other Jazz side (I think but call them) Cons- If you don't go to the concert that Jazz side line is crazy long The menu is a bit expensize. Well I ordered 5 alcohol drinks and two full course meals and it came to 144 (tip included)

    Atlantic Starr was amazing!

by nickysweets on 4/8/13B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Atlantic hasn't lost its touch! Crisp clear sound. Vocals were amazing! Never wanted it to end. The venue on the other sucks! The worst food I've ever had and the waiter needs to find a new job.
