Phillips Arena is a great place to watch a hockey game. But, make sure to eat BEFORE you get there. If nothing else, eating at the CNN Center is perfectly fine. Concessions in the arena itself are a joke.
Nachos consist of a bag of Tostitos round chips, a sealed cup of cold cheese dip and a sealed cup of jalepenos - assembly required. My hot dog was listed as a 'jumbo' on the menu. When I ordered it, I was told it would be regular size even though the price was the same. It was far too messy to pick up and eat and I had to go downstairs in order to find a plastic fork. The credit-card machine was out at the main beer stand and they've done away with the beers guys that used to come around. I heard others complaining that the pretzel stand was making them as they were ordered instead of having them ready for purchase.
If watching the game is your sole intention, you'll love it. If you want the entire experience, stay home and watch it on T.V.
