We lost but I cheered because I am from Atlanta, GA!!
first hockey game ever - excellent experience - especially since they won in over time
Excellent Arena! The parking was easy. It was a great event and they won.
excellent experience, took my son 7 yrs old, we had really good time
The game was awesome!!! We all had a good time! I am glad they won!!!
This was truly an enjoyable night of first for the four of us. This was our first visit to Phillips Arena, our first Thrasher game, and our first hockey game. The venue facility was great. We had contemplated having dinner prior to getting to the game, but with afternoon rush hour a consideration, we decided to eat at one of the concession vendors at Phillips Arena. This turned out to be a good choice because we arrived about one hour before game time and there were a number of Buckhead Life Restaurant Group affiliate vendors such as Veni, Vidi, Vici, Nava, and Kyma to name just a few. There were other food and beverage offerings as well. Our seats in row "L" of Sec.117 were great. The game was good with the exception of the score with the Thrashers losing 1 to 3 to the Ottawa Senators. The break entertainment was just that, entertaining. And the overall excitement and enthusiasm was great.
The Philips Arena is a very nice facility! I was staying in the OMNI CNN Hotel and didn't have to walk outside to get to the arena. I was in section 213 row J - the view of the ice was very good but could not see the scoreboard. There were 26" Philips tube tvs non-hd non-wide screen co-playing the action and also scored replays - I did miss being able to see the actual scoreboard. There was a nice selection of food and ok selection of beer. I was disappointed though that I couldn't walk all the way around on the main level. I typically like to walk around the whole facility just to see what all was there and I could/did but had to retrack at both stopping places. Overall, sorry for the Thrashers for losing to the Senators but had a nice time.
When my family and I got to the arena, it was our first hockey game. We were surprised to see so many fans. But once the game started we were hooked! We are already planning our next visit and inviting all of our friends and family! Go thrashers! :)
The entire process was great; never had a problem and Philips Area was an exellent place to watch a hockey game.
Thouroughly enjoyed the Thrashers as they hosted the Montreal Canadiens. The game was very exciting and full of action. ONE BIG PROBLEM !!! WHAT WERE THEY THINKING - DID THE THRASHERS HAVE TO LOOSE THE GAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really liked the seats except that all of the "standing" bench assistants blocked the view of 1/2 of the Ice. Can't the Thrashers afford chairs for them.
I don't really have a favorite team, I have recently started going to live hockey games. I love the excitement and the affordability of this event.
Let's go! Thra-shers!!!!! I hope we keep them here in ATL, because I've been all in since game 1 in 1999!!!!
Phillis arena is probably the best place to see a hockey game there is bot a bad seat in the whole place
Went to the Thrashers game at Phillips. Seats were perfect to see the game and the Thrashers pulled out an over time victory!
I like the promo ticket pkgs, kids day/chik fila etc. very exciting
I hadn't been to a hockey game in 35 years. Things have really changed. We had a blast. The game was very entertaining. Something for the fans going on throughout intermissions as well as time outs. They really make it fun. We will definitely go again.
love the game; would have liked seats in the 100-200s which I normally have but the sport is always fun to watch.
Even though the Thrashers lost, it was a great game. Overtime and then a shoot out was amazing! Go Blue Land!!
Good hockey, with lots of fan-appreciation stuff by the Thrasher's organization. The seats are getting ridiculously expensive, and with the cost of a beer and a sandwich, popcorn or hot dog, it's a big night out. It's little wonder the seats at Philips Arena were at about 1/2 capacity.
