Always a great time at any NASCAR race!
by SmokinDaveWNC on 2/27/19Atlanta Motor Speedway - HamptonI must admit my last trip to the Atlanta Motor Speedway had been a while. This was my first race back at Atlanta since 1989! It had been way too long and I realized how much I had really missed coming to Atlanta! Since that time though, I've developed health conditions with my heart (A-FIB) and I get short of breath and breakout in a cold sweat when I have to walk very long distances. I must say that all of the staff at both tracks (Daytona and Atlanta) have gone out of their way to help me get to wherever I needed to be all around each track and at times they even used Speedway vehicles to get me to Raceway Ministries breakfast last weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. I was filming all the activities during that breakfast and when I had almost finished the Director of Raceway Ministries came over to me and asked how my breakfast was and did I want anything else? I asked her if she could tell me all about the Raceway Ministries and I wanted to help spread the word about the Raceway Ministries, and how I could help to share all of the great things the Raceway Ministries does at all the tracks and what tracks they are at and offer the FREE breakfast and morning service thru Music and fellowship trying to spread the gospel! After we talked for a bit she had already told me whenever I was finished she was going to take me in her cart back where I needed to be back to grandstand entrance when the gates opened at 10. Once inside, they took me up the hill to a drop off area just inside the food court areas almost to your seat! All the staff at both tracks went above and beyond to help me and I truly appreciate it and all the great things that they do for those people with disabilities to allow us to enjoy the race. Without this help it would make it very difficult for most of us with disabilities! Great job done all you guys a BIG THUMBS UP! Thanks #SmokinDaveWNC at Mountain Streamz TV
