About

For English metalcore act Asking Alexandria, years of extensive touring paid off in 2013 when their third album From Death to Destiny debuted at No. 5 on The Billboard 200. Tapped by Korn as a supporting act on their 2013 tour, Asking Alexandria quickly earned a reputation for their amped up live show, resulting in a series of headlining concerts with Sevendust, All That Remains, and others. The band's touring success in 2013 continued an already-successful run on the road – in 2012, fans clamored for tickets for their sold-out club dates in North America and the U.K., which drew praise for their mosh pit-inducing energy. Asking Alexandria's roots go back to 2003, when guitarist Ben Bruce helmed the group's first incarnation in Dubai. In 2008, Bruce returned home to England and formed an entirely new group, while retaining the Asking Alexandria name. After signing with indie label Sumerian, the band released its debut album Stand Up and Scream in 2009, and followed it up in 2011 with Reckless & Relentless, which peaked at No. 9 on The Billboard 200. Asking Alexandria's current lineup includes Bruce, vocalist Danny Worsnop, guitarist Cameron Liddell, bassist Sam Bettley, and drummer James Casells.

    Amazing night

by Claudia Guevara on 10/11/23The Wiltern - Los Angeles

What a show! It was so cool to hear their songs, the old ones and the new ones. Their performance was incredibly insane. I travel from Mexico just for that show and was the best decision!

    I went for The Hu

by JGarcia on 10/11/23The Union - Salt Lake City

Asking Alexandria was fine, actually better than expected, although I have never understood artists encouraging the violence of a mosh pit. The Hu, who we actually went to see, were absolutely phenomenal as always!

Awesome show! Not so awesome sound.....

by Rich on 10/10/23Encore - Tucson

Really nice small venue! The sound wasn't the best for such a small place. Sound wasn't good for 0936 either.... maybe an in-house issue. Was awesome to see them!

The venue is very well laid out and great for seeing the bands. The sound quality was rubbish.

    Awesome

by Jess on 10/9/23Encore - Tucson

Band was great, been a fan since 2012. The VENUE however had no a/c, half the lights weren't working and I will never pay $50 again if it's like that again.

    AA for Absolutely Amazing

by Alyx on 10/9/23Encore - Tucson

Then venue was hot and small, but no matter where you were in the room you could see all the band members really clearly with all the flashing lights. It was an amazing experience. Band members are really cool. 🖤

Poor sound, cut off opening band mid-song

by GEScott71 on 10/9/23Stir Concert Cove-Harrah's Council Bluffs Casino & Hotel - Council Bluffs

AA performed well, and we really enjoyed Danny's engagement with the crowd. But AA's sound was off - the 2 prior bands (The Hu and Zero 9:36) sounded better). I talked with others who said the same. And, the venue cut off Zero 9:36 partway through their final song! Would have been good for AA to acknowledge that at least even if it wasn't their fault.

The mic quality with their screaming, and the volume 🫨

by Jenn on 10/9/23Encore - Tucson

The opening act was great, came on way late though. Asking Alexandria came on and not a word they sang was audible but it was loud. It was so loud that when I left the venue after 3 songs with the person I came with, we had to YELL to hear each other. We had to YELL to talk to the Uber. It's been 2 and half days and my ears are still ringing. If they were not in such a small enclosed building I'm sure it would have been fine.

    Asking Alexandria/09:36

    by Vanessa S on 10/9/23Encore - Tucson

They both seriously rocked! But I don’t recommend the Encore as a good venue. The air-conditioning was broke. It was pass out hot, even AA had to stop at one point because it was so hot and they had to stop and get water. Both bands verbally complained about it ……but they are worth it and I stuck it out!

    Good Show

by Mischief on 10/7/23The Union - Salt Lake City

We had a blast with The Hu's VIP experience, I wish more bands would do something similar, it was so cool to learn about their instruments, history and culture and hear a live acoustic version of one of their songs. They were so nice and clearly cared about their fans and providing a great experience. The show was good, all three bands were awesome but the sound at that venue sucked, you could barely hear vocals over the drums and it felt like the music just bounced around.

    Awesome show

by Franklin on 10/6/23Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - Denver

They played a lot of their older heavier stuff which was a very pleasant surprise, loved it. Danny also had some fun interactions with the crowd.

by Tori on 10/6/23Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - Denver

Saw Zero 9:36, The HU, and Asking Alexandria. Concert goers were friendly, acoustics were great, all in all a great venue and amazing evening. For sure was a bit deaf and had a scratchy voice from the singing that evening.

    The Hu Were Phenominal!

by Metalkatt on 10/4/23Stir Concert Cove-Harrah's Council Bluffs Casino & Hotel - Council Bluffs

I got the package that had the pre-show presentation from the members of the Hu. As this was my first (and now probably last) ever concert, I wanted to have an experience I could keep with me. It did not disappoint. the informational session where they talked about the history of the traditional instruments was candy to my nerd brain, and the actual show was nothing short of astonishing. Never in my 42 years have I ever wanted to go see any band live until The Hu, and they were worth every penny of these tickets. I have fibromyalgia and other physical conditions, so while being outdoors while it was hot wasn't the best (not like they can control the weather; I would never hold that against them), the discomfort paled in comparison to the enthralling performance. This hermit is very glad she decided to go; it was definitely what you'd call a once-in-a-lifetime memory.

    Never again

by freqconcertgoer on 10/4/23Stir Concert Cove-Harrah's Council Bluffs Casino & Hotel - Council Bluffs

We’ve never been more disappointed in a band more than Asking Alexandria. Nothing like not singing, holding the mic at your side while your music is still being played. He didn’t even care that everyone knew he wasn’t actually singing. Waste of time. Zero 9:36 killed it! Never have we left early during a headliner but we did this time!

Ask Alexandria for some performance tips.

by LESS THAN STELLAR. on 10/3/23The Factory - St. Louis

The opening by Asking Alexandria was less than stellar. They had numerous sound problems and other technical issues. Their play was good, but it was overshadowed and interrupted by those issues, resulting in a lack of flow or prep for the main event The HU, on the otherhand was wall to wall great music. Lots of songs, traditional instruments and appearance, no technical problems visible, beautiful and simple light show. Overall great experience. My seats for two were front and center--wish they were built a little closer to the stage...the cost was nearly $400, but I would do it again and I would recommend the experience to others.
