Ashley Gavin is an American comedian, podcast host, writer and TikTok star. After losing her father at a young age, the New York resident went on to graduate with a degree in computer science from Bryn Mawr College. Gavin graduated Magna Cum Laude and with honors in computer science, and founded the non-profit, Girls Who Code. Several years later, Gavin quit her job and took a chance at stand up comedy. Soon after, clips of her live shows began being shared on TikTok by fans, and her career took a leap to a new level. Her chart-topping podcast, “We’re Having Gay Sex,” was voted one of the best of 2020 by Paste Magazine, and has been acknowledged by People, Forbes and Us Weekly. Between her well-known podcast and her popularity on TikTok, the comedy sensation has made a name for herself on tour. Gavin’s live shows are known for being an interactive experience, full of improvised interactions with her audience, and off-the-cuff commentary. Went to the show as part of my wife's birthday weekend with a group of friends, and we were laughing throughout the set! Opener was great at teeing us up for Ashley, and she knocked it out of the park so we'll that my wife wants to travel and see her again later in the tour.
We got these tickets on a whim months ago. The closer it got, the more tiktoks I watched, the more excited I got. I have not laughed that hard, for that long, in maybe forever. Such a freaking great show.
This was just a straight up, incredible comedy show. She went off script, did crowd work and created jokes out of thin air so glad I was in the room!
