    Ashford & Simpson

by MattGirl on 3/14/11Birchmere - Alexandria

I was taken back to when they were in their prime. They did not disappoint-- their voices were still as sharp and clear as back in the 80's...well worth the time and money. Will see them again.

    VERY GOOD

by dlcmusiclover on 4/25/10Birchmere - Alexandria

IT WAS A GOOD SHOW. THEY ALWAYS LEAVE THEIR FANS WANTING MORE. HOWEVER, I DO WISH THEY WOULD SING MORE OF THEIR OWN SONGS AND CUT BACK ON THE TAMMY AND MARVIN SET.

Ashford and Simpson were absolutely Fabulous!

    by SVPeaches3 on 4/2/10Birchmere - Alexandria

I thoroughly enjoyed Ashford & Simpson! They were as phenomenal as I remembered them years ago and this was my first time seeing them in over 15 years. Valerie is still beautiful as ever, still making her moves, and Nick, still as sexy and sultry, as ever! I have always loved Ashford & Simpson. Thank you, Birchmere, for bringing them. Thanks Valerie and Nick, for the awesome music!

    OLD SCHOOL GROUP STILL JAMMIN'

    by cgcg57 on 4/1/10Birchmere - Alexandria

Though the entire show was an exact repeat of 2009 show, Ashford and Simpson are still great entertainers and give it all they've got while on stage. Nick's voice cracked a bit and he sounded hoarse as if he may have been either just recovering from a cold or the flu, or was becoming ill. He didn't even take off his jacket this show claiming that he didn't have on anything "sexy" underneath!

    Enjoyed the show

    by taurus1 on 3/29/10Birchmere - Alexandria

Enjoyed the show tremendously. Show ended much too soon for me personally. It was interesting hearing the origins of some of the songs, particularly, 'Lets' Go Get Stoned" that was written by Nick Ashford and to hear him sing it. They are a class act that should be around for years to come.

As always, they outdid themselves! They sang and played to a full house who was appreciative of them being there.

    Excellent

by walkrun on 3/29/10Birchmere - Alexandria

I, of course feel that the show was too short because Asford & Simpson have one of the most extensive songbooks and only teased in the time period involved. A high energy delightful show. Will try to catch them again!

    ASHFORD & SIMSON WERE EXCELLENT

by ratttail on 3/29/10Birchmere - Alexandria

The show was fun and lively. They have written so many songs that were and are hits for many great artists such as Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrel, Diana Ross. They are older now, but still look good and are still very lively and talented. They have songs of their own and have written for others that are part of everyone's musical history and will always be.

    Awesome Ashford and Simpson

    by sonyajp46 on 3/28/10Birchmere - Alexandria

They were more than I expected! There vocals have improved more with time and it was "real" singing, not the stuff we are subject to these days.
