Alanis Morissette on Tour
As a musician, Alanis Morissette isn't easy to pigeonhole, since her albums encompass rock, pop, folk and all points in between. Unsurprisingly, her live shows reflect this eclectic approach. On her electric tours, she's a powerful rock goddess belting out hits while circling the stage or slashing at a guitar. On her acoustic tours, though, she brings out the delicate nuances of her music, and allows her smoky voice and emotional delivery to take center stage. In a nod to her versatility, over the years Morissette has toured with Tori Amos, Barenaked Ladies and Matchbox 20 - and even opened for the Rolling Stones.
Alanis Morissette in Concert
Growing up, Alanis Morissette was both an actress - she appeared on the kids-geared show You Can't Do That on Television - and a teen pop singer in her native Canada. But after releasing two mainstream pop albums, she arrived in the U.S., where she teamed up with Glen Ballard to make the confessional, alternative rock-leaning Jagged Little Pill. The 1995 album was a blockbuster, selling more than 30 million copies globally and spawning four No. 1 hits in her native Canada and three Top 10 hits in the U.S. ("You Oughta Know," "Ironic" and "You Learn"). Jagged Little Pill also won several Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and Best Rock Album.
Morissette continued her dominance throughout the 1990s and into the 2000s, landing two No. 1 albums (1998's Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie and 2002's Under Rug Swept) and more hits, including the Grammy-winning "Uninvited." She also restarted her acting career, and notably played the character of God in Kevin Smith's Dogma, while maintaining a steady touring and recording schedule. No matter where her career goes, however, Morissette is always pushing herself into new creative realms. In 2019, a musical based on Jagged Little Pill opened on Broadway.
Morissette is embarking on a 31-date North American tour starting June 2nd, 2020 in Portland, OR. The tour will celebrates 25 years of JAGGED LITTLE PILL. It hits cities like Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, and Chicago before wrapping in Nashville, TN on July 25th, 2020 and she'll be playing all her biggest hits along the way. Alanis is joined by special guest Garbage with Liz Phair also appearing.

great show from start to finish. The energy for the show was over the top. 3RD time seeing her in the last 15 years, always brings the show. WOULD GO AGAIN
Alanis is a goddess and she owned it. 10/10 recommend. Loved her vibe, outfit and her voice.
The show was very good. She played for a couple hours. Have been wanting to see her for along time. Glad she is touring again.
I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Alanis' vocal strength and range is still incredible. She transported us right back to the 90's, high stage energy, even working that corded microphone! I highly recommend catching a show!
Alanis’ voice is as good as it ever was! Stage show meh, but she was awesome
We had a great time! Alanis did a fantastic job! Great stage presence. Interacted with the audience. Wonderful. Five stars for sure!!!
Great performance! Her voice is still amazing! Her songs are so powerful.
Super strong vocals and she is high energy. I think band was a bit loud.
I love any show and the IL state fair. The venue has great sight lines from any seat. Alanis sounds amazing still and had a ton of energy for the show. You could feel her energy and appreciation ! And her voice…still phenomenal!!
Alanis is everything that she always has been. Her vocals are amazing! She feels every word that she sings. The only downfall to this particular concert was that the sound was not good. We couldn't hear her very well and at one point the sound went completely out.
She was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!! FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!! Would go again!!!!!!
Alanis Morissette did not disappoint! Her voice is so powerful and amazing! She sounds even better live! I highly recommend going to see her concert!
I've been an Alanis fan for years and I was both excited to excited to sing along to the soundtrack of my teens and little underwhelmed. She's been in the business for so long, she could have done some story time or banter with the audience but still cool to be there. I'm still new to NJ but will not do events at this location...maybe its great for hockey and that's all. Technically, the sound was horrible! Her mic kept giving feedback. Whoever approved that sound check....idk -_-
Due to low ticket sales we were upgraded from section 101 to 20. This was our first time at Prudential Center and the seats in the new section were the roomiest and most comfortable I can ever recall anywhere. Based on the comfort level I will be looking regularly at shows at this venue. Alanis as usual put on a strong high energy show and we had a great time.
Wow, I was blown away by her energy. From start to finish she effectively blended old and new and never stopped! Highly recommended.
Her voice and performance was more spectacular than ever!
Alanis and her band put on an amazing show, her voice is so beautiful! Very happy with the entire experience. I had no issue buying tickets and the venue was good too.
The concert was absolutely incredible. Very punctual, excellent content, in conclusion, great. The only bad thing, the security staff at the Prudential Center. Lousy!
Alanis came out, and I had paid big bucks for first -floor seats. The closest I could get was Row 22. When she came out, 5 rows in front of me stood up and remained standing! I had to stand also to see a thing. also the screaming drowned her out. I thought after the initial excitement, everyone would sit! we were basically in orchestra seats!!!! I think Alanis needed a smaller more intimate venue. She was wonderful!
Absolutely loved Alanis and her concert. The videos in the background were really cool; they really allowed you to get to know her better. Loved how she totally rocked out and came back for an encore. Love you Alanis!
