Baz Luhrmann's revolutionary film comes to life onstage in a new musical mash-up extravaganza. A celebration of Truth, Beauty, Freedom and--above all--Love, Moulin Rouge! is more than a musical; it is a state of mind.

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this show. Great music choices, amazing talent by all.
I hadn't seen the movie in a number of years, but as a fan, I couldn't wait to see the play adaptation. Unfortunately, when we watched the play, there were several critical elements of the story that were changed or left out all together. I understand that a play can't easily capture all of the "movie magic"but (spoilers ahead) changing things like Christian's job, Satine not sleeping with the Duke, Satine not knowing she was dying and wanting to be an actress, (the list goes on), completely changed the emotional trajectory of the story and left it feeling like a trivial mash up of modern tunes that half the audience probably didn't recognize (I did, being younger, but it was cringey). I had to watch the movie a few days later to get the bad taste out of my mouth and remind myself of why I loved the story in the first place.
This show was the definition of spectacular, spectacular! An absolute crowd pleaser and after seeing the show it makes sense why it has won 10 Tony awards! The singing and renditions of ALL of the different songs plus more to tell the store brought me to tears. Moulin Rouge was done justice and then some. The best experience I’ve had, and the interaction with the audience was my favorite- I love when the audience is included and incorporated into the show! I also loved the bits of comedy sprinkled into an otherwise sad tale. From beginning to end absolutely amazing!
Recognized most songs. Good energy. Colorful staging. Colorful costumes.
I had a smile on my face the entire show. I loved every minute of it and would definitely see it again. The guy that played Christian looked so much like Ewan McGregor and his voice was also so similar it was impressive! My only complaints are 1. while the actress playing Satine did a fabulous job, I was not a fan of her voice for this part. and 2. the ending Come what may scene was little lackluster. But otherwise, loved it!!!
From the moment we stepping into the doorway and saw the stage, it took my breath away. My daughter and I were so looking forward to this show and it did not disappoint! I had only seen the movie years ago, and was really impressed with the updated choices in music, along with the classics. The choreography, costumes, music...all of it, was top notch! The only problem was that we came on the last day or else we would have come back for another showing.
We loved Moulin Rouge (Touring) at Tanger Center for the Performing Arts! It was high energy, humorous, great voices and acting. The venue was easy to get to, we just had a five-minute walk from Undercurrent restaurant. All the staff at Tanger were friendly and helpful. We live in Raleigh but will definitely return to Greensboro.
From the moment you pull in the Tanger Center, everyone is so nice. They can't do enough to help you find your seat, find everything you need and make sure you enjoy the show. The last two plays we saw were from the touring companies of my fair lady and Moulin Rouge. Highly recommended!
No words in the vernacular Can describe this great event You'll be dumb with wonderment
