Penn & Teller On Tour
Not exactly comedians but more than just magicians, Penn & Teller bring a quirky combination of laughs and illusions to every performance. You're ready to laugh before they even trot out their tricks, with the big, brash Penn Jillette towering over his staid, unspeaking partner Teller. And once they dip into the bag of tricks they've been perfecting since the 1970s, you're simultaneously dazzled and delighted. Whether they're working with things like magic bullets, nail guns, and straitjackets, or just employing a seemingly ordinary deck of cards to demonstrate some sleight of hand, the duo can make you doubt your own senses as they appear to make the impossible happen right before your eyes. Sometimes they toss a touch of danger into the mix, and sometimes they simply play the whole thing for laughs, but whatever illusion they're unveiling, Penn & Teller can always pull it off.
Penn & Teller Background
America's most famous magic/comedy duo actually started out as a trio in the '70s, but when third member Weir Chrisemer left in 1981, Penn Jillette and Raymond Teller (who has always gone by just his surname) continued on together, and it was then that their star began to rise. With TV appearances on such shows as Late Night With David Letterman and Saturday Night Live, a series of Broadway shows, and their own Emmy-winning special on PBS, Penn & Teller carved out a niche in show business and became household names in the process. In the years that followed, they became TV personalities in their own right, first with a Showtime series and then with Fool Us on the CW. They've earned their own star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. They've appeared in music videos by Run-DMC and Katy Perry. They've established a record-breaking residency in Las Vegas. And throughout all of these accomplishments, Penn & Teller have shown that a big, loud guy and a small, silent guy can make people gasp and guffaw at the same time.
Penn and Teller never disappoint. Their act is always changing, so it's worth seeing again and again. Sure to be a regular show for us.
First few minutes seemed a bit slow, but the show just got better and better. Really enjoyed it overall.
Loves the show! Love that it’s not the same as 10 years ago when I saw them!! Great audience participation, great staff around venue very friendly, seats were great, I have no complaints!!!!
Penn & Teller's show was so entertaining, fun and amazing! Mind blowing magic with jazz before show that was unexpectedly cool! So glad we made the time to see in the show. Will definitely come back next time I'm in Vegas.
We are big fans of Penn andTeller. The show started out slow, but ended up amazing us. Be ready to see tricks from “Fool Us” and then be amazed by tricks you’ve never seen before.
Did not worth it at all. Not recommended. Nothing special about this show. Lots of talking. The venue which is Rio is not a good one.
Great show with a good mix of comedy and Magic tricks. Only a pitty that they no longen do a meet and Greet before or after the show… other than that a great Night out! Go see them while you still can!
I enjoyed being in the front row of the second level. I didn't have to worry about getting called on stage and had a great view of everything going. Saw Penn & Teller in Milwaukee and loved that they did so many different tricks. In awe!
My husband and I were looking forward to the show and we were not disappointed there was plenty of audience participation and was great not to be picked even though I was close to the stage …pew! Even sitting that close you couldn’t tell how it was done and especially the one with the gold fish …priceless
Penn and Teller have been in my household for years, so what a thrill to see these two live in action. Funny! Plus the jazz at the first of the show was unbelievable. I was in awe the entire time, from opening to end.
Really enjoyed the show. Very relaxed, not over produced, really focused on audience involvement. Theatre was comfortable, refreshments and merchandise available. I really liked the live music before the show. A nice family friendly evening out. Highly recommend.
2024 February. Penn and Teller are just amazing. We have been watching their TV show for a few years now. I was excited to see their show live. How does this magic work? The credit card trick, the elephant trick, . . . and others were all amazing and just had my jaw drop. I also enjoyed reading their timeline which hangs outside their auditorium. Amazing all the work and steps the duo went through to get where they are. Good for them. Keep up the good wonderful magic. The world needs more wonder these days!! Thank you. The Bonds
I’ve been a fan of Penn & Teller since seeing them off-Broadway in the mid 80s. Always entertaining with fresh, new material (although I had seen some of their routines on “Fool Us”), this act is a must-see in Vegas.
I enjoy the magic Penn and Teller bring! I still can’t figure out how they do it and we were in the fifth row. I also enjoy their interaction with the audience. A great way to spend a birthday!
Loved the show. Very entertaining. Great for all ages. Went with my parents and kids and everyone enjoyed the show. Worth every penny. Will not be disappointed.
Fun for the family but not for a date night in your 30’s. The Rio environment was also a buzz kill, old, run down and wouldn’t want to go back. The show was fine but I have seen some of those magic tricks before.
We’ve watched on tv but even more amazing live. Wonderful audience participation and humour throughout the performance. A must for anyone who enjoys magic
My boyfriend has really wanted to see Penn and Teller since him and his Dad have always loved them. We are from the east coast and they did a stint in Boston but we missed it so I surprised him with tickets to the Vegas show for March. He’s been to Vegas and I have not so we made a little trip out of it. Honestly, Vegas was overhyped and I didn’t love it but seeing Penn and Teller was the highlight of the trip. I was so impressed with the audience interaction and just how fun it was. Thank you for the laughs and magic.
No spoilers, go see the show. The best show I've seen in Vegas. Laughed and was amazed equally.
We took our 6 year old who has been watching Fool Us for years and the show did not disappoint. Penn & Teller are true entertainers and we loved it. We even got to go on stage!
