STAIND IN CONCERT:
With three consecutive No. 1 albums of anthemic nu metal in the '00s, Staind became one of the most successful alt-rock groups of the decade.Ā Blending muscular guitar shredding and singer Aaron Lewis's emotional, melodic lyrics, the band's impressive live shows span their entire discography, treating fans to studio-perfect renditions of their biggest hits alongside alternative, countrified versions of songs like "Mudshovel."
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Formed in Massachusetts in 1994, Staind started out playing hard rock covers in local clubs before self-releasing their 1996 debut Tormented. While they only pressed four thousand copies, the album garnered enough attention to land them a deal with Flip Records and the production assistance of Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst for their 1999 follow-up Dysfunction. The album received favorable reviews and drew comparisons to nu metal legends like Korn, but its reception paled in comparison to 2001's Break the Cycle, an international No. 1 and multi-platinum smash. The band's next four albums would all land in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200, establishing an impressive catalog of hits and building anticipation for the band's rumored return to the studio in 2014.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"Staind was unbelievable. The band sounded amazing. Aaron's voice gives you chills live. They played everything...They even played quite a few new songs which they totally killed on."
"Staind dug deeply into their classics to get the crowd going. Aaron Lewis was great and seemed to be having fun during an audience participation sequence. Staind played every song I wanted to hear plus more so I left very satisfied."
"I expected a top flight show from Staind and got it...they exceeded my expectations. They had a great mix of hard and soft music; all Staind."
I waited almost 20 years to see staind concert. I enjoyed the concert it just wasn't long enough They only played for an hour and they're so many more songs I wanted to hear.
Everything was great the sound and the lighting. Nicely done...
Title says it all. I've heard of Staind from my mother growing up and loved their songs. Certain songs though, I nearly fell asleep to them, even live. It's just not exactly my cup of tea for me, a metalhead through and through. Mudshovel and Fade are some of my favorites by them and I'm happy they played both when I saw them. They're all great musicians, clearly experienced with their instruments, and handle their stage presence well. I managed to get myself an Aaron Lewis pick, which had a FJB decal on one side lol.
Staind was awesome, just a great show from one of the greatest bands. Seether was wicked, loved there performance. Saint asonia was fantastic, was a great show. This had a awesome line up.
Was my first ever concert and it was absolutely amazing! The entire show was great from finish to end and the bandsā interactions with the crowd were great! (Especially Tim Montana and Staind) Would definitely go again!
Bands were great, except for the transitions between songs for Seether felt awkward. The venue at Santander Arena was a nice smaller arena. We stayed in the hotel that was right across the street which was great - no need to stand in line to get in! And there were some local places to grab dinner before the show. The Peanut Bar was great for dinner!
I really enjoyed this event. My first time attending a concert in Portland. Date night was a success!
Was an all around very good concert. Time & money well spent š
It's a great venue! The team members are always so pleasant and eilling to lend a hand. I wish more bands would come to Portland! Thank you Sanit Asonia, Seether and Staind for coming to Portland!
There was people already in our seatsā¦ after security and police involvement we both had tickets for the exact same seatsā¦ I was pulled out of the concert until other arrangements could be made
Great concert with supporting graphics. The concert was a blast!
Good seats good people and good price got un quick out quick over all good experience
Tim Montana and Saint Ansonia and Seether were fantastic. Staind was not so good. Aaron Lewis's voice was "tinny", like he had too much treble. We left halfway through it.
fun af what else is there to say but i have to write 50 words full of things to say so it was fun and yeah very fun
I absolutely love Stained. They put on an amazing show. Will definitely be going to another show.
Fantastic Show!! Would see all of the bands again with no hesitation
All in all not the worst concert. Second time I've seen staind and he's amazing. Seether however stood in the same spot on the opposite end of stage so I did not see him his whole set. He's deff a great singer don't get me wrong but wish he interacted and moved around more so that was disappointing. But other then that a decent concert.
Staind didnāt disappoint! Aarons voice live is right up there to when he was young! All in all Staind was amazing.
I have waited sooo long for Staind to regroup and they did not disappoint. Old tunes mixed with the new. It was perfect. And they had the best lineup, Seether, yay.
Three of the top five rock vocalist on one bill! Yes!!
