Come From Away on Tour
The true story of the small town that welcomed the world.
Broadway's COME FROM AWAY has won Best Musical all across North America!
The New York Times Critics' Pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.
Don't miss this breathtaking new musical written by Tony® nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and helmed by this year's Tony-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley. Newsweek cheers, "It takes you to a place you never want to leave!"
On 9/11, the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all.
literally incredible. especially for being a tour. i saw it on broadway and this compared astoundingly, the cast was great.
Show was very good. The mics were terrible. Very hard to hear the voices. But the talent was unmistakable.
I have seen a LOT of musicals. I didn't know what to expect for this one because I was not familiar with it. I had looked up the story line, but that only gave me a snapshot of the play. This was probably one of my TOP FIVE favorite musicals!! I laughed... I cried... I left wanting to see it again!! There is no intermission, but the play is so fast moving and engaging that you don't even notice. If you get the chance to see this play... DO IT!!!
You provided an experience from a devastating event that was a rollercoaster of emotions. It was beautifully and respectfully presented in such a loving way. The acting and writing was masterfully executed and had us on the edge of our seats. Literally. Thank you Thank you. Please have more Maritime shows.
An exceptional performance. A must see, but an auditorium or stadium is not the best venue. Having said that everyone must see it wherever they can.
The show was fabulous - great setting, sound and lighting. I saw the show a few years ago in Toronto and loved it. Wondered how it would go in the Scotiabank venue and enjoyed it every bit as much as in a smaller theatre.
Enjoyed from start to finish. Talented cast. Heartwarming story during an unprecedented time
It was beyond works. We loved every moment. Would watch again
This one if the best musicals my wife and I and our two daughters have ever attended. My wife lived in Gander during her school years and her father was a firefighter at Gander Airport so this play had a very emotional connection for her. We were enrapt for the nearly two hours and would highly recommend this play.
Laughter and tears. The music score and musicianship was fabulous. Such a heartfelt experience. This is the second time seeing the show. I’d go again!
Simply the best we’ve seen. Two hours of non stop, high energy entertainment from talented musicians and performers. The venue, surprisingly, help deliver such a good experience. Often in arenas the acoustics are poor but not in this case. Only one constructive comment. We were on the floor and not really that far from the stage but couldn’t always hear their lines. The four of us discussed that after the show. There were lots of times we couldn’t hear what they were saying. Thank you for coming to Atlantic Canada. From Moncton NB
Magnificent! I love how you blended the Newfoundland culture into the play. Lots of funny parts, which was fabulous. The band at the end was an extra bonus that everyone stayed to listen to! I would definitely go see it again.
Excellent show. Constant action and very entertaining. Not a dull moment in the whole show.
High energy, makes you feel good about humanity and the world, definitely a reminder we all need.
Upbeat. comical and at times emotional musical capturing the gratitude of so many who land in the middle of nowhere and experience true love and support from the residents of the compassionate community where forever friends are made. A little disappointed with the Halifax venue as it was difficult to see the real expressions of the performers. The building was very warm and seats very cramped
Absolutely fantastic and heartwarming! Everyone should feel proud to share this humbling story
Great performance. Enjoyed it very much. Nice to have a Broadway show come to Halifax.
They nailed every part of it. They had you seamlessly laughing and crying and being really involved in the story. I would recommend it to anyone and might even see it myself again sometime.
Non stop from start to finish. Well written and brilliantly performed.
The performance was very well done … singing and choreography very tight . Excellent music writing and depiction of the trauma of this event. Also thought the set changes and cast changes were very clever and seamless. However, I was soured by the frequent blaspheming of the name of Jesus. Didn’t make things more authentic and truly offended me.
