    Best EVER!!!

by Marnie on 12/13/21Akron Civic Theatre - Akron

This troupe was FANTASTIC....singing, dancing, acting, playing the musical instruments right on stage! We have NEVER seen such a TERRIFIC and totally true to Charles Schultz live presentation of A Charlie Brown Christmas! AND....big plus!!!!! We FINALLY actually got to see the play that CB and his friends were practicing....AND it was totally what we think Charles Schultz would approve! Go there if you can....it was sooooo delightful!!!!!

    Captured the essence of Peanuts

by scuba210 on 12/13/21Akron Civic Theatre - Akron

The show was true to the original story, but added so much more. I'm normally not a fan of musicals, but this one just worked. Both the dancing and the singing was top notch, and the transitions from set to set (done in front of your eyes) were flawless. Highly recommended.

Great show! The singing and dancing was fantastic. The props were nice too. Snoopy’s outfits though needs to be upgraded!

    Loud and somewhat seductive

by Mariann on 12/12/21Akron Civic Theatre - Akron

They've taken a charming Christmas message by Charles Schulz and made it annoying. Not worth a penny nor time since they must think the audience is deaf [particularly Lucy] -- it is way too loud. The dancing at many times adds to the production, yet during the beginning [and possibly other times too], the little girls were shaking and shimmying much like a striptease but with clothes on. It just seemed way too long and drawn out--cut it in half, lower the volume, and censor the choreography and it may be worth it. Oh, one last thing, Snoopy danced great, and Charlie Brown had zero talent in this role--not a believable Charlie Brown. Sorry.

    A Big Hit!

by VG on 12/12/21Akron Civic Theatre - Akron

This cast did a fantastic job! I loved every minute of it but the second act stole the show for me. This was my Christmas present and I cannot think of anything better! A BIG thumbs up!

    Delightful

by Nan on 12/10/21Capital One Hall - Tysons

Loved everything about our evening at Capital One Hall. The performance was delightful, the staff kind and helpful and the venue was spectacular and state of the art, delivering patron comfort and the best in viewing and acoustics. Cannot wait to attend another event there. What a gem for NOVA!

    Charlie says

by Red on 11/27/21Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

Parking very convenient to the theatre. Well organized staff at theatre. Snoopy was great. Our grandchildren enjoyed his antics. We would have appreciated some enforcement of mask guidelines.

by Christine on 11/26/21Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

Took our grand-daughter to see and totally enjoyed the play. So well done and the music and dancing was fantastic. Beautiful traditional Christmas songs. Totally recommend. The Rialto theatre is beautiful and ornate. Decorated for Christmas.

The costumes and the actors all really paid their parts. The way they changed the scenary was so easy and not distracting.

    Excellent!!

by Jenn S. on 11/26/21Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

Excellent production!!! Every detail was perfect, from the costumes to the props. All the actors did a fantastic job and the best part was they kept it very accurate to the original Charlie Brown Christmas. This was my 7yr old first professional play and it was absolutely perfect!! Thank you for making a wonderful memory.

    Not exactly as expected

by Scott W on 11/25/21Effingham Performance Center - Effingham

Sure wasn’t under the lmpression we were going to see a musical, but that is what you will see. We were thinking it was going to be a stage play. The grandson seemed to really enjoy it so that was the main thing.Actors and Actresses did a good job!

    EPC performance

by Connie on 11/24/21Effingham Performance Center - Effingham

We loved the performance. The vocals, the music, and the dancing were truly amazing. We took our 4 and 1/2 year old grandson. I was worried about his attention span for the whole show, but he was mesmerized by everything.

    Curtain time?

by Curtain time on 11/24/21Effingham Performance Center - Effingham

The only thing i was unhappy with was the starting time. Play started about 20min late and the little ones were getting pretty impatient. Otherwise..I really enjoyed the program.

    Unorganized

by Larry on 11/23/21Genesee Theatre - Waukegan

Show was good. Prior to show had to wait in a crowded lobby for over 1/2 hour. Show was supposed to start at 2. Didnt start until 230. Noone came out to address the group waiting to get in. Doors were supposed to open at 1230. You would think with COVID being a problem and the theater requiring masks ( which were not enforced) that crowding several hundred people in a small area would not be allowed.

    Cute, but just okay

    by Rush611 on 11/23/21Genesee Theatre - Waukegan

The show started a half hour late because they were having sound problems, which was obvious during the show. Lucy and Snoopy were the standouts. Charlie Brown was okay, would have thought they would have cast someone better in the role. Overall it is cute for kids, but not the best holiday show I have seen.
