  • Loved Charlie Brown Christmas

    by K. S. on 12/18/18BJCC Concert Hall - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

I have always loved the Charlie Brown Christmas cartoon so thought the play would be fun. It definitely didn't disappoint. The cast was so talented. Happy we made this part of our Christmas this year!

  • A delightful retelling of the animated show

by Trainscout on 12/22/17Peabody Opera House - St. LouisRating: 4 out of 5

I thoroughly enjoyed see the famous cartoon recreated with love actors on stage. And the mix of Christmas carols, both religious and secular, atthe end put me and my granddaughter in the Christmas spirit.and the Peabody was beautiful. My first visit since it’s reopen.

Loved the play, My grandkids 6 and 8, really enjoyed it. My one big complaint is there is no reason for an intermission when the play is only a little over an hour. Their main reason was so they could sell $6.00 bottles of water. Will bring water with me next time.

  • Real meaning of Christmas

by Scottd650 on 12/18/17Peabody Opera House - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Very slow in the beginning. Actors were good. Minimal props and settings. In the end, Charlie Brown put the real meaning of Christmas out there! Kept Grandchildren's attention for most part.

  • Enjoyable Evening

While we enjoyed it all ... the second half of the show was much more lively. We took out nephews, 7 and 8, and they really had a good time. Snoopy was great!

  • Left at intermission

by DadFromSTL on 12/18/17Peabody Opera House - St. LouisRating: 1 out of 5

The Peabody is an awesome orchestra hall, but this show left A LOT to be desired. Too slow for the kids, and stage production/acting/singing on-par with an average high school performance.

Really enjoy A Charlie Brown Christmas. The characters were wonderful, the meaning of the story was great, and the singing was fantastic!

We love the music and especially Snoopy. My 7 and 10 year old granddaughters laughed a lot and really enjoyed the special occasion. Our seats were very good too. Parking was safe and close by. We will be back again for Elf! Thank you for a good experience.

  • Snoopy was Great!!

by AuntieJJ98 on 12/18/17Peabody Opera House - St. LouisRating: 3 out of 5

Seating was tight. Where was Woodstock? No, Woodstock in the show. Show was good. Snoopy was great!! My nieces loved the show overall. At times they appeared bored. Disappointed with the merchandise available to purchase. Not much for kids. Only Charlie Brown or Woodstock plush. No Snoopy plush.

This was a great show for my entire family to enjoy just before the holiday season. Great production!

  • Was more like a high school play

by Lisa07 on 12/18/17Peabody Opera House - St. LouisRating: 2 out of 5

I was disappointed. This show was more like a high school play then a big production. For the price we paid for the tickets I expected much more.

The play puts you in a Christmas spirit and the singalong at the end was upbeat and fun for the whole family

  • Cute Production, But Should Be Better

by saltcay on 12/18/17Peabody Opera House - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

A Charlie Brown Christmas was a cute production for a HIgh School or perhaps a small college production. However, this was a professional presentation and should have had better production value. The cast seemed very "stilted" in their acting, and the staging was very amateur. The final scene when they decorate the "tree" left a lot to be desired. The script followed the TV production word for word, and the added songs to fill out the production were good. The part of Snoopy was almost too good and stole most every scene he was in. Definitely a good show to take your children to. Great introduction to live theatre. The Peabody Opera House is a beautiful venue and the renovations are spectacular without being overdone. Not a bad seat in the theatre. Even sitting in the upper balcony was good sight lines of the stage.

  • Great Performance

Always loved Peanuts and this way true to the story with a great cast. Snoopy is incredible.
