About

ALADDIN, one of Broadway's most extravagant spectacles, is on tour in a production that’s dazzling audiences across North America. Like the hit musical comedy that opened at Broadway's New Amsterdam Theatre in 2014 — and broke 14 New Amsterdam box-office records — ALADDIN’s touring production has been a runaway smash. Since launching its second national tour in October 2022, the touring production has perfectly embodied the Broadway show’s eye-popping illusions, glittering-gold costumes and stargazing rendition of “A Whole New World.” With music by Academy Award-winner Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, and costuming by Tony Award-winner Gregg Barnes, ALADDIN is “Exactly What You Wish For!” (NBC-TV).

    I Don't know

by Dean on 11/7/23Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts - Greensboro

Title: A Magical Journey with Disney's Aladdin on Broadway! I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Disney's Aladdin on Broadway, and I must say, it was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment the curtain rose, I was transported to the vibrant and enchanting world of Agrabah. The production's attention to detail was truly remarkable. The set design was breathtaking, seamlessly transitioning from the bustling streets of Agrabah to the mystical Cave of Wonders. The costumes were a feast for the eyes, with intricate designs and vibrant colors that brought the beloved characters to life. The cast was simply outstanding. The chemistry between Aladdin and Jasmine was palpable, and their performances were filled with genuine emotion and charm. The Genie stole the show with his larger-than-life personality and show-stopping musical numbers. His wit and humor had the audience in stitches, and his heartwarming moments added a touching depth to the character. The musical numbers were nothing short of show-stopping. The choreography was energetic and flawlessly executed, making each song a visual and auditory feast. Classics like "A Whole New World"and "Friend Like Me"were performed with a fresh, exhilarating energy that had the audience on their feet. What truly sets Disney's Aladdin apart is its ability to appeal to all ages. Children were entranced by the magic and wonder, while adults were captivated by the intricate storytelling and brilliant performances. Overall, Disney's Aladdin on Broadway is a must-see for anyone looking for a magical, heartwarming experience. It's a show that will leave you with a smile on your face and a song in your heart. Don't miss your chance to be swept away on this unforgettable journey!

    Wish it had been better

by Anonymous on 11/4/23Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts - Greensboro

The venue is great and seating works well for viewing. Unfortunately Aladdin was not the quality of production I was expecting, nor was Frozen. I have hopes that future shows will be more sophisticated and interesting.

The Genie is the Star of the show

by Miss Lorilyn on 11/2/23Chrysler Hall - Norfolk

Loved the production of Aladdin at Chrysler Hall in Norfolk. The colorful costumes, sets, and the singing and dancing were awesome. How they did the Magic Carpet Ride was amazing. The star of the show, however, is the Genie, played by Marcus Martin. He tells the best jokes and his voice and dance moves are amazing. When he is on stage the production truly comes alive. Highly recommend this show for people of all ages.

    So fun!

by MrsZuk on 11/1/23Chrysler Hall - Norfolk

Very entertaining! My 6 year old and I both loved it. Nostalgic for me, exciting for her! I lie that they stuck to most of the original songs + new ones, as well as sticking to the storyline (for the most part). Abu and Rajaa are missing, so my 90s kid heart was bummed, but I get it. Music was great. Genie was AMAZING! Theatrics were awesome! Set and costume were awesome!

    Better than I imagined

by Amazing!!!! on 11/1/23Chrysler Hall - Norfolk

Listen, after robin williams and then will smith being the genie, if this show didn’t live up to those two I would have been truly disappointed!! The genie in this show was cast more perfectly than I could have imagined!!! It was such a wonderful rendition and it was so nice to sing along to the songs we all know and love!! Plus a few we didn’t know were fun! I would go again!!

Very good but not a triumph

by Meegs on 10/31/23Chrysler Hall - Norfolk

We fully enjoyed the show. The Genie was remarkable. The friends of Aladdin were top shelf. Jaffar and the parrot were well cast. We thought Aladdin was good but could have been stronger. It was visually exciting. The dance/fight sequences were all a little wanting. Not as professional as we would expect.

by Ivy C on 10/31/23Chrysler Hall - Norfolk

This was one of the best shows I have seen, thanks to the Genie. It would be a good show but the Genie made it Amazing. Friend like me is absolutely the best part of the show. It had me hooked. I wanted to see more of the genie. The costumes and the cast were great. I really enjoyed the show but the energy from the Genie took things to another tier

    A great show!

by Babs on 10/31/23Chrysler Hall - Norfolk

Wonderful!!! This was so fun. The adult humor took it to the next level. The only downside....people brought young children that could not appreciate it. I want to go again!!!
