Hozier is one of the most successful folk artists of the 21st century. Born Andrew Hozier-Byrne, the Irish singer-songwriter first toured internationally as a member of the Irish vocal group Anúna before going solo in 2012. His watershed moment came a year later when his first single, “Take Me to Church” was released. In 2014, it rose to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and ushered in Hozier’s self-titled debut, which itself reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200. “Take Me to Church” closed 2014 as Spotify’s most-shared song of the year and garnered Hozier’s first career Grammy nomination for Song of the Year. His 2019 sophomore full-length, Wasteland Baby!, topped the Billboard 200 and was supported by Hozier’s first solo headlining world tour. In 2023, Hozier released his third album, Unreal Unearth. Throughout his career, Hozier has collaborated with artists such as Mavis Staples, Annie Lennox, Maren Morris, Noah Kahan, Brandi Carlile and composer Bear McCreary.

The was my first Hozier concert and will definitely NOT be my last. I came out with my best friend and we both had such an incredible time. The venue was very nice and easy to navigate. The only issue we had was getting our way to the premier parking lot through the blocked off roads. Hozier has been my favorite musician for a very long time and to be able to see him in concert, and at his largest concert ever, was such an amazing experience that I will never forget.
Only a minor fan of Hozier going into the concert, now a major fan! Band was amazing, and his talent is off the charts! Would go again if I had the opportunity!
I would commit crimes for this man. (Not really, BIUKUK) The concert was one of the best I have ever seen and I will absolutely try and see him again. Everything was perfectly amazing…
Hozier gives a fantastic performance every time (seen him three times on this tour now!!!) however I wouldn’t recommend freedom mortgage pavilion in Camden as a venue because we could barely hear him.
For me, seeing Hozier in concert felt like ascending to heaven. I have talked with many amazing fans that I met at the show and we could all relate. Seriously I cannot put into words the emotions I felt during that time. I had expectations because I watched many videos online, but nothing prepared me for the actual thing. Andrew is the sweetest guy and his talent is truly a gift.
Hozier was amazing but it took us 2 hours to get out of the parking lot...on a work night. So unaccepable. Where is the team of parking lot attendents and placement of orange cones to make lanes for the conclusion of the concert, like there are upon entry. Nobody to direct traffic or make sense of leaving the lot. Everyone was frustrated and exhausted. There is noexcuse for this. Do better livenation and Darien Lake.
I went to the Hozier concert at the Darien lake amphitheater and it was amazing! I bought my tickets off ticket master a couple months before and it was very easy to access them when I needed to. The tickets also provide info about the type of tickets and the venue. Really great experience, highly recommend!
Absolutely terrible getting out. Parking was horrendous. I will not be returning to that venue if I don’t have to for a show. Hozier was amazing
Hozier is an incredible artist and put on a great show, the venue was very clean and organized. The parking lot is laid out as best as it could be in that location but still very slow to get out
Start to finish this show was incredible!!! I’ve been lucky enough to see Hozier live a few times and I have never been disappointed. This is the first time I’ve seen Allison Russell and I hope it won’t be the last. She and her entire band were amazing!! Her voice and lyrics are so powerful. This is a powerhouse concert!
Hozier captures us and takes us on a beautiful wave of connected flow for the night. I love seeing musicians in a smaller venue with room to move in lawn seating, always my first choice. Acoustics and some obstruction of stage could be better for this location but always trickier outdoors. Listening the the album in full back home really hearing how this is much more than a collection of songs. Thank you for a great concert
Everything about the concert and performance itself was amazing. If you are a Hozier fan then stop delaying and see him right away because it’s an incredible experience. The voice, the visuals, the crowd - One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. But I will never do again though, is go to a concert at Darien Lake. After decades of hosting concerts, you would think they would somehow figure out how to properly move people out after a show… Yet people sat without moving for literally two hours and even longer to get out. Darien Lake - figure it out. This alone will have me question ever attending a concert at that venue again. Hozier - keep on being amazing.
great atmosphere, amazing show, humble aritist, good nachos!!!
Hozier sounds even better live. His music takes you on an emotional journey and fills your soul with joy. Hozier connects with the crowd and his incredible singing makes you feel the energy and passion that he has for his songs. It is by far the best concert out there right now.
From start to finish, Allison Russell and Hozier put on an amazing show. Great energy, wonderful staging and effects, and of course their beautiful voices. They both exude a grace and gratefulness toward the fans and did all they could to both generate and play off of the energy in the crowd. An added surprise from Hozier was his appearance at the back of the pavilion facing the lawn for the first song of his encore...an acoustic Cherry Wine. I have seen him several times, and he never disappoints. Can't wait for the next time! Merriweather Post Pavilion was an excellent venue for the concert. Great staff and comfortable seats. Parking could have been better marked. We found our zone but only by the map as there were zero signs. Food was overpriced and of average quality.
Hozier was absolutely phenomenal! This was a concert that made me not only so excited to just be there but also made me cry at times because of how beautiful the sound was. Hozier is truly someone which I feel like anyone will enjoy seeing and I hope I’ll be able to see him again!
I thought Hozier was great in concert, he’s a very talented singer, they played a good length of time and played a nice variety of his discography. His band was amazing, there was a lot of talent on stage that night. I thought it was cool to see him so casually interact with the audience as well. It was great to see him express his gratitude to all of his band members along with the whole production and tech team for all of their hard work, and give high accolades to the opening artist Allison Russell (not something I always see from headline artists so that was refreshing) My complaints are mostly about the venue! Why were they only selling “Liquid Death” canned water? What even is that? We would prefer some normal bottled water next time, please and thanks. And I have no idea why it took well over two and a half hours for us to even start moving when we left the concert early. It was super frustrating to be gridlocked in traffic with no sign of movement or even a single staff member. There was not a soul directing traffic until we reached the exits. Darien Lake needs to hire more staff, there was no reason it should have been that long of a wait. Lastly, I paid like $70-$80 for “premiere parking” but nobody even checked my ticket for premiere parking and I’m fairly sure we were just directed to park in a random spot. What a scam that was. Despite all of that, my friends and I had a great time at the concert, and the venue was laid out well and had decent food and the merch stands moved quickly. So overall (besides the points I mentioned) it was a good experience.
But Darien Lake’s sound is awful. It’s embarrassing that they ask professional musicians to play in such a setting.
Hozier and Allison were both incredible and very uplifting. We’ve now seen Hozier live three times, and Allison live three times. There’s just something about the messages in their respective music that helps you to remember the beauty of this life. I can’t wait to see each of them again soon.
