ARMIN VAN BUUREN IN CONCERT:
EDM fans have spoken, and veteran Dutch DJ Armin Van Buuren is their king. As one of the most popular trance DJs in the world, Van Buuren has topped DJ Magazine's fan poll a record five times, virtually dominating dance music with his unprecedented run at the top of the list from 2007-2010. Following the 2013 release of his fifth album Intense, Van Buuren is once again entrancing fans around the world with his prismatic live shows on the 2014 Armen Only: Intense tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Leiden, Netherlands, Armin Van Buuren began DJing while at university, eventually putting his law degree on hold to pursue music full time. He made his first UK chart appearance at just 19 with "Blue Fear," climbing the charts again several years later with "Communication." By 2001, Van Buuren's marathon sets had earned him a spot on DJ Magazine's Top-100 list, setting the stage for the launch of his hugely popular State of Trance radio show. While his skills as a producer were highlighted on his 2003 full-length debut 76, it was 2008's Imagine that really broke the mold — the album peaked at No. 1 in the Netherlands, a first for a dance music artist in Dutch music history.

I was skeptical about how good the show would be in such a small venue but it was an absolutely amazing show. He had good quality opening acts to set the stage for when he went on and he did not disappoint.
I attended the event with my boyfriend and my older brother. The atmosphere was quite interesting as it was so clearly divided. In the lounge you had your uptight well dressed fashionistas you expect from the Seattle Bar scene, but on the floor you had the All Out Rave Scene Johnny Monsoon and Armin truely deserve!! Security was a trifle ridiculous, as the stalked along the perimeter, but hey, they're just there to keep us safe, Right? Thanks again for a wonderful evening!!
Played tracks mostly from his new studio album Universal Religion 4. Good show overall.
Armin was amazing. The energy was crazy and everyone was having a very very good time! Loved it!
Solid performance nothing special, can we not let teens get in this events...should be 21!!!

This concert was amazing! The DJ's before amin were as good as armin him self. The music was loud and the speakers did not blow out once. The light show was amazing too! The tickets where cheap, and easy to buy.
Too overcrowded, poor sound, bad conditioning. Somebody treaded by leg twice.
Armin has been the number 1 DJ in the world, and his live sets certainly reflect that. He smiled a ton and greeted the crowd, and afterward signed autographs from the stage. The buildups and breakdowns of his set are unrivaled. Best dance music ever. He seems like such a nice and fun guy!
All the Deejays Locked in on the Event and gave us a great time!!! Everyone Rocked the Dancefloor!!!!!!!!!
Awesome! Woke up at 12 45am when he started playing hard hitting songs. EPIC! Much better than Tiesto's cookie cutter playlist
I liked the concert in general, except for the 18 yrs olds in skimpy clothes, and doing all kinds of weird drugs and stuff. But I absolutely loved the music
Armin Van Buuren... all of his openers AND him were SPECTACULAR! the Showbox SODO is a great venue for Trance, unlike many small clubs.
An air of excitement caused me to pause before stepping into the Showbox Sodo last night for Armin Van Buuren. The V.I.P line was well maintained and the staff were business but incredibly personable. My party of 4 immediately did a sweep of the area which was nicely lit, kept well cleaned and found surprisingly great seats in short futon style couches located just inside the V.I.P entrance. My bathroom run found a mostly clean bathroom as would be expected only 45 minutes into the event. The boys were cute though and we know boys are messy. The general drinking area near V.I.P offered ambient lighting and great views of the main concourse floor and the dj area and with sound floating boyantly around me I ordered my first drink which was nicely made and reasonably priced as were bottles of water which is not the norm at many events we have gone to. The crowd reminded me of older days of partying. Nice, smiles, hugs, pictures conversations in anticipation of the main event. The floor warmers kept an even and lucid rise to their mixology and by 11:30pm everyone was at optimum reception for Armin. Being the 6th time I have seen him and a few times for other members of my group we were just as welcoming and respectful of the level at which Armin has delivered his music. Charisma, a love for the Art and a genuine constant appreciation of the crowd before him, the listeners unseen and the spirit of the music are always present with Armin. With out a doubt, he truely sits as top of my favs for the trance music genre and is worth seeing if you have a chance and the venue, although of smaller size, lends a helping hand to a more intimate atmosphere so I will certainly return to ShowBox Sodo.
If someone pays 70 $ for a ticket that says Armin Van Buuren Then Armin should play a little longer... we think. We go to see him... Also, no melody of dance in the music, all i heard was drum and bass. But the drum was great! Really good en powerfull. Next time pick a bigger place... or make one in your name bad lighting too, i had a light on my face with no movement for a long time, while the other one where moving Next time put some speakers on the sides of the square. So that i can sorround the whole room and not just the front of the Dj booth. Very nice graphics.
It was a really great Party. It was so amazing! We will see us in 2011 :)
INCREDIBLE SESSION!!!! WOULD HAVE STAYED TILL THE END have i known that Armin was the 3rd one in the order of dj's playing.... ANyway, VERY VERY WORTH it, full of people, all giving it all!!!

overall was great but visual effects was not on the level. Armin played for only 2 hours, but Tiesto played for like 4 hours
This was by far the best concert I have ever been to and I got to grind 3 girls and the best part is that they all came to me. :)
