COSMIC GATE IN CONCERT:

German trance duo Cosmic Gate are well-versed in the art of night all-night revelry, having manned the ones and twos at more than 1,000 gigs since making their debut in 1999. Six albums of energetic dance music followed, including 2014's Start to Feel - an ambitious project featuring collaborations with vocalists including Emma Hewitt and Jonathan Mendelshohn. The veteran duo have performed at some of the world's biggest clubs, and the infectious energy they create on their must-see tours never fails to have ticket buyers dancing the night away.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Cosmic Gate formed in Krefeld, Germany in 1999, making their debut the same year with the single "The Drums". They scored their breakout hit in 2001 with "Fire Wire", which peaked at No. 9 on the UK Singles Chart. The duo continued to hone their hard trance sound with a string of albums released in the '00s including Earth Mover (2006) and Sign of the Times (2009). They've been a regular presence on DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJ Poll since the late '00s, peaking at No. 19 in 2009. With performances at legendary clubs like Ministry of Sound and Privilege Ibiza under their belts, Cosmic Gate bring plenty of experience with them on their unforgettable tours.

    Man I had such a good time this past weekend at Cosmic Gate concert in Washington DC. They played at Soundcheck which was a cool venue with good vibes. I would go back there again to see anybody. Cosmic melted faces and the crowd was energized. Overall a tremendous night.

    I saw Cosmic two nights ago (6/28) at Soundcheck in Washington DC. Holy cow it was so good. Everything was so intense. Lights, smoke and the energy as a whole. Everyone in the place was straight hyped. I cannot wait to go back! Please perform here again soon!

    Cosmic gate at The Silo last week in Dallas was so freakin amazing. The whole production, lights, smoke etc had me feeling like I was in a dream. The music was killer and the whole crowd was having a good time. This is some really well produced EDM and you should check it out!

    Wow. All I can say is wow. We say Cosmic Gate this past weekend in Dallas. Their live show was amazing. It was my first time really seeig a Duo of Djs. It was so much fun and they crushed it. If you are into Djs, check them out. Super energetic and we danced all night long!!

  • Good, But Was Hoping for Some Earlier Songs

    I did enjoy the energy of the music, but I would have liked to have heard some of their earlier work. This concert was pretty much the same as the last time they played in DC (songwise). Also, the venue is a lot smaller than the other venue they play in DC. It was difficult to move from one location to another.

    My first time at echostage and I must say the place is amazing. Easy and quick access and attentive bartenders. Impeccable technical infrastructure with immersive lighting and powerful sound. CosmicGate was perfect switching between classic and new tracks.

    Cosmic Gate and Gareth Emery are people who made me fall in love with trance. Being a DC Native, and living in California it was a treat to catch them here in DC. Echostage continues to improve the experience, but its great to see them outside of Dreamstate.
