ARMIN VAN BUUREN IN CONCERT:

EDM fans have spoken, and veteran Dutch DJ Armin Van Buuren is their king. As one of the most popular trance DJs in the world, Van Buuren has topped DJ Magazine's fan poll a record five times, virtually dominating dance music with his unprecedented run at the top of the list from 2007-2010. Following the 2013 release of his fifth album Intense, Van Buuren is once again entrancing fans around the world with his prismatic live shows on the 2014 Armen Only: Intense tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Leiden, Netherlands, Armin Van Buuren began DJing while at university, eventually putting his law degree on hold to pursue music full time. He made his first UK chart appearance at just 19 with "Blue Fear," climbing the charts again several years later with "Communication." By 2001, Van Buuren's marathon sets had earned him a spot on DJ Magazine's Top-100 list, setting the stage for the launch of his hugely popular State of Trance radio show. While his skills as a producer were highlighted on his 2003 full-length debut 76, it was 2008's Imagine that really broke the mold — the album peaked at No. 1 in the Netherlands, a first for a dance music artist in Dutch music history.

    Great sound at the DC Armory; warm vibe, and Armin at the top of his game, indefatiguable, with tremendous inventiveness and awesome sound and light; the videos going on in the background weren't too shabby either! Clearly the best in the world!

    The DVD I have is suberb, but seeing him live? There are just no words that can describe how I am feeling still, 4 days later! Totally best show I have ever been to in my life. The sound quality far surpasses any expectations you would expect from a DJ show. Your BODY FEELS and your SOUL ENJOYS the full-time event! Thank you Armin and staff ,)

    Blake Jarrell the warm-up DJ got the night started and the crowd moving, but never stole the show and didn't make the rest of the night flat, clearly however, the greatest moment was when Armin Step onto the stage/DJ booth. Armin blends multiple mixes, amazing light show. He commands the crowd, by banging out some serious trance tunes, he keeps the floor moving and dancing until your body gives out. There is a reason why Armin Van Buuren is the Top DJ in the world!

    I've seen ATB, Marcus Shulz and now AVB. The all were great but AVB is on top of the list. Great lighting and great venue contributed to outstanding 2+hrs of thumping hardcore trance.

    If you want to have an unforgettable time at a concert, make sure you see Armin van Buuren!! He was energetic and made one awesome show!! I would have payed lot more that the $75 they charged!

    My boyfriend and I drove all the way from Kansas to Chicago to see this concert and it was sooo worth it! The ballroom was amazing and it was sweet that the dj booth was elevated so we could see Armin!

    The music was by far amazing, but the time that it was 9pm to 4am. People don't even get in the mood to go out and party! We spent so much money for tickets and to get there before 4 am was a joke!

    Genius. He's like everything you need. The energy is amazing. I lose myself whenever I see him live, and I've seen him live many times... never been disappointed. If you enjoy the music you will surely enjoy seeing him live. If you've never really listened to Trance and all that I think 95% of the people would enjoy the atmosphere.

    I gave 2 stars cos I never been to this kind of event in th US before. I am from South East Asia where we have tons of performance from DJs in club or outdoor *rave party*. I am very surprise that you guys let 16+ above to attend. I could see that many of them have no clue who is Armin Van Buuren. Just for the sake of clubbing and listening to trance music. They started to throw bottles of water, smoked pot. It's so unpleasant. The sounds system only at the front. It's not surround. Maybe for safety reason, the light is to bright for clubbing where you can see everybody's face. Hence the 2 stars, cos I was expecting similiar experience if I attend this kind of night back in Asia and I don't. What a waste of international performance.

    The venue was awesome, set up was awesome, the headliner and opener were obviously amazing. Overall just a great show definitely worth the money!!

    I've always loved trance music but had never seen a show live. Armin Van Buuren and the people that played before him were incredible. It was the best entertainment imaginable. The Showbox Sodo was a great venue for the event.
