ARMIN VAN BUUREN IN CONCERT:
EDM fans have spoken, and veteran Dutch DJ Armin Van Buuren is their king. As one of the most popular trance DJs in the world, Van Buuren has topped DJ Magazine's fan poll a record five times, virtually dominating dance music with his unprecedented run at the top of the list from 2007-2010. Following the 2013 release of his fifth album Intense, Van Buuren is once again entrancing fans around the world with his prismatic live shows on the 2014 Armen Only: Intense tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Leiden, Netherlands, Armin Van Buuren began DJing while at university, eventually putting his law degree on hold to pursue music full time. He made his first UK chart appearance at just 19 with "Blue Fear," climbing the charts again several years later with "Communication." By 2001, Van Buuren's marathon sets had earned him a spot on DJ Magazine's Top-100 list, setting the stage for the launch of his hugely popular State of Trance radio show. While his skills as a producer were highlighted on his 2003 full-length debut 76, it was 2008's Imagine that really broke the mold — the album peaked at No. 1 in the Netherlands, a first for a dance music artist in Dutch music history.

Ok. We are talking about Armin van Buuren here. Need I say more? But the venue? Amazing. If you ever have a chance to see a EDM producer/DJ perform here...DO IT. This place is amazing and the sound system is top notch.

Yeah the venue was a Universities gymnasium but the production and sound made me forget I was in a Gymnasium!!
Was incredible... Maybe the best concert i've ever been to really. Know I really know why he's been ranked the #1 DJ in the world for the past 4 out of 5 years. Was definitely in A State of Trance.
Aside from Armin completely killing it..... the venue, lights, and " confetti flurries" were amazing. I was completely surprised at the amount of people in Philly who now appreciate trance music. Great crowd, no fights - just love. COME BACK ARMIN!

Yes, the projections and lighting and sound were excellent. I prefer the "On the Beach" sections of his State of Trance series because of their lightness and transcendence. This concert was WAY "In the Club" and even more so. It's was less exciting than what I would have expected to hear in any club on any given night. Monotonous. And I'm all for the inspirational aspects of his lyrics, but apparently "Intense" won't have anything but cliched hey-everybody-let's-get-together-its-going-to-be-alright-with-love. I expect to get the CD, love it, and then wonder why the concert wasn't better.
Armin Van Buuren killed it in festival pier. The music, the light show - it was all perfect. The only thing bad was that he was forced to stop 30 mins early because of intense (pun intended) lightning - although he still played 2 more songs after they told him to stop.
Went to see Armin Van Burren at Festival Pier and was not disappointed. Visuals and sound quality were amazing especially for being outdoors. The display was vivid and bright and the sound was clear and sharp. It felt like we were indoors! Only downside was: the show started early (7pm) and was cut short due to weather conditions (10:30pm). Because the tickets were pricey, we could not afford to attend an after party so we only got 3hrs for our money (1.5 hrs of Armin).
This concert is sooooo worth going to!!! Armin puts on an awesome show!!! Be ready to dance your ass off !!!!
Aurmin was Amazing. Had a great time! There were plenty of bathrooms and people working them. Any place you stood or sat was a good place to see him!
Armins set was amazing. Nice festival scene, beautiful view. The opener dj was not very good
Seeing Armin there was a perfect night, great weather, great sound, illuminated stage, put any great DJ there and it's an amazing place to see a show.
Armin Van Buuren is #1 in the world for a reason. This show was incredible. Festival Pier is also an awesome venue. Great experience.
Armin Van Buuren was absolutely incredible. I would recommend for anyone to go see him perform because he puts on a fantastic show. His new music is amazing and I cannot stop listening to it. I have been to other DJ's concerts and they could not compare. There is a reason he was named number one DJ in the world. He definitely puts you in "A State of Trance."

Armin is outstanding. Too bad this ended 25 minutes early due to weather (thunder-storms) but it was very good. if you haven't seen him before, do so. You will never forget it.
It was my first show in the city and it was awesome! All the people, lights and of course the music was amazing!
Amazing set, he closed with Airport Shivers as the sky flashed with lightning making it feel more like fantasy than reality.
