EDM fans have spoken, and veteran Dutch DJ Armin Van Buuren is their king. As one of the most popular trance DJs in the world, Van Buuren has topped DJ Magazine's fan poll a record five times, virtually dominating dance music with his unprecedented run at the top of the list from 2007-2010. Following the 2013 release of his fifth album Intense, Van Buuren is once again entrancing fans around the world with his prismatic live shows on the 2014 Armen Only: Intense tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Leiden, Netherlands, Armin Van Buuren began DJing while at university, eventually putting his law degree on hold to pursue music full time. He made his first UK chart appearance at just 19 with "Blue Fear," climbing the charts again several years later with "Communication." By 2001, Van Buuren's marathon sets had earned him a spot on DJ Magazine's Top-100 list, setting the stage for the launch of his hugely popular State of Trance radio show. While his skills as a producer were highlighted on his 2003 full-length debut 76, it was 2008's Imagine that really broke the mold — the album peaked at No. 1 in the Netherlands, a first for a dance music artist in Dutch music history.

    Still in A State Of Trance from the Armin show on Saturday Echostage. I have never in my 40 years of life on this big blue ball been to as excellent a show... Thank you Armin van Buuren! And as for Echostage, what an excellent venue. The ladies room was actually mostly clean for most of the night! The drinks were reasonably priced. The sound and lighting were really perfect. Ok, so the crowd was a bit pushy up towards the front, but you'll have that at such a great show.

    I will preface my comments by saying that I've never been to a large edm concert like this before. I couldn't have picked a better first concert to attend. Armin and his team really created a unique and exhilarating experience. Intense is an understatement for how loud the music and the crowd became, how vibrant and realistic the light show was, and the chills that went down my spine during some of the breakdowns. The performers that were together with Armin, the dancers, drummers, singers and even the audio crew in the back all worked together seamlessly. The end result was a concert that looked like a well produced film but definitely felt like a rave.

    It was an excellent event that I have been waited for a long time. Los Angeles, needs more event like this. Forum was a wonderful location. Unbelievable upgrades and renovation that brought the event to the max level.

    I've never been to The Forum but it was a absolutely perfect. Why? because Armin Van Buuren was awesome at his performance. I love him and now I'm obsessed with him now that I seen him live.

    #1 Dj/performer in the world. The cons are it ended at 12am. Ticketmaster said it was going to end at 1am.

    Armin Only Intense at the Forum was THE best armin event i have been too!! Seriously, Armin does the best job in getting interactive with the crown along with getting them super hyped up 120% all the time. I only wish he would come back real soon again! Can't wait for the next one!!
