    Archer Live is a riot!

by Geezby on 6/23/13Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

I had no idea what to expect going into the Ryman for Archer Live. What I was presented with was absolute comic gold. Between Aisha Tyler and Lucky Yates' amazing crowd banter, Chris Parnell and Amber Nash's unmatched comic timing and H. Jon Benjamin's sterling (Pun intended) voice and lovable demeanor, this is a show that I would recommend to fans of the show and just comedy in general. I cannot stress enough how happy I am with my experience.

    Loved It!

by nancyotte on 6/23/13Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

I bought my tickets months ago without reading any of the reviews because I love the show and have never missed an episode. shortly before going I started reading the reviews about how the cast mailed it in, they were drunk, the show was unorganized and juvenile. other reviews were all about how people loved it. I have to say if you're a fan of the show, then you'll love it. being apprehensive after reading negative reviews, I ended up being thrilled with the experience. and other reviewers were right, it ended too soon even after almost 2 hours. maybe the other audiences weren't as animated (ha) as ours. the cast was engaged with us throughout and it was wonderful. seeing them together, when they don't even voiceover together, was really remarkable. I find myself saying to a friend how "Krieger" (Lucky Yates) was the best, but then right after I've said it, I think well the others were great too. and the next time i'm talking about it i'll find myself saying someone else was the best. they were all so good. if you're reading this review, you are probably already familiar with what the show is like, but several people in the audience were picked to go up on stage and at the end it was announced that anyone who got a t-shirt should remain in the auditorium. I don't know what else they got, but it sounded promising. I would absolutely go again and the new episodes for the upcoming season that we saw were so funny. I discovered when I got home that I had mascara lines from the corners of my eyes. I knew I was laughing so hard I was crying, but it was funny to have it confirmed in the mirror. don't let the haters stop you from having a great experience.

Archer, The Live Show, Not What I expected!!!!

    by Duggan57 on 6/23/13Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

There was not a clear explanation as to what the show was to be. My understanding was a live play and that wasn't it at all. And for the price of tickets the show was very short. Yes I did enjoy it but it was NOT worth the money! The extent of the show was playing parts of shows on a big screen and some of the characters were there to read the dialogue. Not all the main characters were even there however it would not have increased my interest.

This show was fantastic. I laughed from start to finish. Met them afterwards and they are the nicest group of people I have met in a long time.

    LANAAAAAA!!! Danger Zone

by Chiguy773 on 4/10/13The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

I enjoyed the show very much. It was great seeing the voices behind the characters in person. It was a lot of fan involvement which made me regret my balcony tickets. H Jon Benjamin is HILARIOUS!!!! The entire cast was great.

Painful to watch; 5 minutes of quality content

by Elliey on 4/9/13Best Buy Theater - New York

At first when they joked the cast was doing coke in the back, it was funny, but now I'm pretty sure it was less of a joke and more of a warning. There were some good parts - the audience involvement and dvd extras, but aside from that it was like watching a couple of frenemies argue between themselves over who is funnier. A majority of the show was seriously painful to watch - I had purchased 4 tickets for my brothers birthday so nobody wanted to just get up and leave but at around $60 a ticket with fees, I honestly excepted something I at least didn't regret going to.

Complete lack of effort by talented cast

by Archer111 on 4/9/13The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

First off, let it be know I'm a huge Archer fan! I watch the show religiously and own all past seasons on BlueRay. Archer is one of the smartest and most hilarious shows ever created. With such a talented group of writers and comedic actors, I can't figure out why they put no apparent effort into Archer Live. Here's a quick review of the show: Extra footage and special feature video clips of which the majority are already on the dvd's. The cast getting drunk on stage and making sh*t, a*s hole, and d*ck jokes reminiscent of 13 year old boys. And to fill in the obvious lulls, shooting t-shirts from an air cannon into the crowd. Beyond that, there was a bit of trivia and a few live reads from past episodes that were somewhat funny and a some Q&A that could have been interesting if the cast wasn't already drunk and could have answered the questions seriously without the omnipresent sh*t, a*s hole, and d*ck jokes. Bottom line - this show relied on humor most fans have already seen and most of the cast appeared to be there for the paycheck only, with no real desire to entertain, discuss or celebrate the making of Archer. At most this show offered 10 to 20% new content and was an offense to the Archer Fans; especially when you consider they charged about $50 per ticket and performed at a top historic venue like the Chicago Theater. The value of this show was about $10 per ticket that would have been better received at a general admission, beer and concert venue.

Archer Live was even funnier than the show!!!!

by CoachMcGuirk on 4/8/13Chicago Theatre - Chicago

I love the show, and all the other ones Jon Benjamin has done, but he is even more hilarious on stage. All the humor of the cartoon with priceless interactions between the actors themselves and between them and the audience. The cartoon clips and live sketches were all laugh-out-loud funny, and they kept the crowd engaged the entire time And we got to see the new Whose Line host!!!

    eh

by maxam67 on 4/8/13The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

It was way cool to see a lot of the main characters from the show. I LOVE H. Jon Benjamin, I have since first hearing him on Dr. Katz many years ago, but I was hoping for some more from him in the show. I guess I was kind of expecting a little bit of stand up from Jon and Aisha Tyler. I realize that that is not what was promoted, but I was hoping. Also, the show was way too short. I wanted more, more, more! Lucky Yates was really funny. Loved him. I am also a huge fan of Chris Parnell, not just from Archer, but from SNL and 30 Rock. I guess I wanted more from him as well. Maybe my expectations were too high. Anyway, it was a good show. It just seemed too short.

If you love the show...you must see this.

by isisagent on 4/8/13The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

Had an absolute blast. The audience involvement and unscripted nature of the show made it worth every penny. The cast had great energy, even while slamming a bottle of makers mark.I'd reccomend this show to anyone that is an archer fan. However...my girlfriend was a little disappointed when she saw the man behind the voice of Archer!! hah

    Unfullfilling

by new2town on 4/8/13The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

I am a long time H Jon Benjamin fan and have never had the opportunity to see him in person. Thsi probably wasn't the best introduction. The vibe would've been better set in a small bar or comedy club. Not the Chicago Theatre. Overall it was funny but it felt more like I was watching the voice actors have an after party which would be great if I had seen a show first.
