Excellent. I would recommend Annie to anyone at any age.
I saw this show in New York on a girls short break. From start to finish this show was fab, the scenery and props were very good. The casts performances were out standing. I would recommend going to see this show if in New York. We all enjoyed it immensely.
The latest revival of ANNIE, at the Palace Theatre, is wonderful. The orphans steal the show and will steal your heart. Lilla Crawford is a superb Annie. Katie Finneran as Miss Hannigan is a villain you will love to hate. Anthony Warlow as Daddy Warbucks, Brynn O'marlley as Grace Farrell and the rest of the cast are excellent in their roles. As is Sandy the dog. It is a timeless story for all ages with an upbeat score. ANNIE is a wonderful way to start the holiday season. Don't miss it.
This was a fun and heart-warming production of Annie. I thought the kids were the stand-outs in this performance! Sandy was great too : ) I would recommend this to any age musical lover! Terrific!
A grandparent's delight, the play offers the perfect world in which to spend an afternoon. My 3 1/2 year old grandson was mesmerized!!
I absolutely love it! This is a show I would watch it over and over again and would take my kids, nieces and nephews as well. The story line and the music pieces are just as good as original Annie (the movie) although maybe some tiny bits of difference. This production - The cast were great, the stage sets were clever and transformed seamlessly. There were quite a few children came with their parents. However some were obviously too young to appreciate or even sit through the show. The young boy next to me grew quite restless and at times fidgeting on and off his seat, or even kicking me slightly (not intentionally)... quite annoying really, but oh well, I still enjoyed the show nevertheless.
if you want to forget your troubles and the world's problems then Annie is the medicine for you! Charming, delightful and uplifting. Yep, it may be fantasy, but Annie gives us hope. The little girl who plays Annie is perfect with a beautiful voice. I am a big fan of Katie Finneran but I felt that she slurred her words too much when she sang (and it was a good thing that I knew the words by heart). I know that Mrs. Hannigan, played by Finneran, is supposed to be a drinker but I remember understanding every word that the original Hannigan, played by Dorothy Loudon, sang. That is why I gave Annie 4 stars insead of 5. But Finneran was very funny. I also liked the original Rooster better...but this Rooster was certainly good enough. Andy Blankenbuehler's choreography is superb (I whispered to my wife at the off broadway production of In the Heights that this Blankenbuehler is going to go places...and he has!). And you can't beat the tuneful score of Annie....you'll be humming those songs all the way home!
Great revival. Disappointed that Annie changed at intermission. 1st Act Annie much better than 2nd Act Annie who was good, but not great.
Wonderful show and cast. Extremely well done. Staging and cast fantastic!
The play was absolutely awesome. It was our granddaughters 5th birthday celebration. She has been watching the Annie dvd since she was 2 years old. When her mother asked her if she wanted to see the play Annie. Of course, Yes was the answer. Our youngest granddaughter who is 2 1/2 has also watched the movie dozens of times. The girls did not take their eyes off the play for a moment. It was incredible. It kept their attention and that was amazing. The actors and actresses were so very talented. Would definately recommend this play to anyone. So glad we got the opportunity to see the play.
A brilliant show. Amazing cast, a fantastic night.
Singers and dancers were terrific, as were the sets and costumes
What could be better? Can't think of a thing. Cast, sets, the music we all know. A treat for all. After you read the papers and listen to the news, go and cheer yourself up by spending a few hours of total enjoyment at "Annie."
I really enjoyed every aspect of the show. The cast was great especially the performance of Miss. Hannigan. My 5 year-old daughter attended with me & it succeeded in keeping her attention the entire time, which is very difficult to do. :)
