Annie was my favorite childhood movie/musical...so I wanted to relive it! The night I went, it was Jaidyn Young who played Annie, and she was great! So were all the other girls, Ms. Hannigan and Daddy Warbucks! I enjoyed all the old songs and singing along! It was a nice pleasant crowd and everybody had a good time! I love Annie!!!! Her optimism, wit, bravery and spunk! ...One question- Where was Punjab?!?! I missed him!
Play was good. Very appropriate for the 6 year old to 10 year old average audience age with their parents. Nice family outing.
A well done revival of a good show. Lived up to its billing
We attended "Annie" as an extended family group encompassing three generations. It would be hard to determine who enjoyed the show more, the grandparents (myself and my wife), our son and daughter-in-law, or our three grandchildren. I suppose the edge would have to go to the grandchildren, but just barely. The entire cast did a bang-up job! The orphans were totally lovable, Annie was adorable and could really belt out a song, and Warbucks had a singing voice that was pure gold. The most hilarious moments were provided by the deliriously inebriated and villainous Miss Hannigan. The sets were imaginative and helped to define and enhance each scene. I thoroughly enjoyed this production and would heartily recommend it to the young and the young at heart.
What a wonderful entertaining show that the entire family can enjoy. This is definitely a feel good show that deserves may accolades, it is a TEN!!!!!
The show was a knockout...especially through the eyes of a 4 year old. The seats were so uncomfortable that I moved to an obstructed view open seat at intermission, If you're over 5'5" - skip the first two rows on the center mezzanine - its impossible to fit your legs in unless you're a contortionist!
I thought the play was fabulous! I see a or few Tony Award(s) coming your way to the cast and crew of Annie! The cast played their roles so well and match the personalities to a T! Just a suggestion - have Bernadette Peters fill one time for Lily - if she is able!
I took my 8 year old son. It was his 1st Broadway play and we both LOVED it!
Welcome Annie back to Broadway. There wasn't a flaw with our matinee performance.
Nothing spectacular but it was cute. I think they could of casted a better Annie, she had a heavy ny accent that even came out while she was singing...a little annoying.
Highly recommended show. "Annie" is a very talented young girl. Entire cast was amazing.
We enjoyed seeing Annie and the kids absolutely loved it. The orphans, Miss Hannigan, and Daddy Warbucks were particularly good. Lilla Crawford who played Annie was also very good and she is a strong singer. The "New York" accent she used while speaking was entertaining, but singing with that accent was very distracting and eventually annoying. I blame the director.
Excellent NY theatre at its finest. Katie Finneran shines as Ms Hannigan. No surprise give her last memorable performance in the ever wonderful "Promises,Promises" revival. The kids in the show shined............. What Broadway shows are made of...Uplifting!!!!!!!!!!
The show started, and my thought was "hey this seems ok..." Well, was I in for a shock....the musical, acting and stage performances were amazing! The set changes were by far like something I have never seen before. Would see it again, and would most likely feel the same way! 2 huge thumbs up!
Cast were superb, Annie was brilliantly played and we loved Sandy the dog. The set was brilliant, couldn't rate it higher.
The cast of Annie was not only talented, but so energetic and fun. Wonderful performances in all categories. We really enjoyed it.
Memorable "mommy and me " experience. It was my daughters first broadway show!!!
My girlfriend really wanted to see this but I was a little unsure!! But how wrong I was. Excellent show all thr children actors were brilliant. Highly recommend it.
Our two children enjoyed the show, but both commented on how disinterested Sandy, the dog was in the show. I thought Daddy Warbucks was the best actor in the show. He had a beautiful voice. Annie's acting and voice were very average and I also thought Ms. Hannigan was unimpressive. I was surprised who they picked to cast in the show. Also, it seemed the plot missed on developing why Daddy Warbucks was so taken with Annie. They rushed through that part. Overall, it was a light, holiday show, that got us in the Christmas spirit but could have been a much better production.
