About

Andrew McMahon, of Something Corporate and Jack’s Mannequin fame, has reinvented himself as Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness and has seen the biggest success of his 16 year career with hit single, “Cecilia and the Satellite.” His latest album Zombies On Broadway is a follow up to the eponymous album that produced the smash single, “Cecilia and the Satellite,” which became a Top 5 hit across both Alternative and AAA radio, Top 10 hit at Hot AC and which also climbed up the Pop chart. “Cecilia and the Satellite” found great commercial success having been featured on FOX's "Red Band Society" trailer, MTV's "Real World," and the TV promo for Warner Bros. Pictures’ film PAN. McMahon performed the single on “CONAN” and on “TODAY.” Most recently, he completed a massive summer tour across North America with Weezer and Panic! At The Disco. The lead single off the new record, “Fire Escape,” flew up the Alternative radio chart reaching Top 10 at Alt Radio and Top 5 on Billboard’s Alternative Song chart. His current single, “So Close,” is climbing Top 30 at Alt radio.

Aside from his professional successes, McMahon is a 10 year survivor of leukemia and founder of the Dear Jack Foundation, one of the first Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) specific cancer foundations which advocates for and supports initiatives that benefit AYAs diagnosed with cancer. McMahon lives in Los Angeles with his wife of 10 years Kelly and their daughter Cecilia.

Andrew McMahon was good. Venue/crowd was horrible

by Anonymous on 8/12/14Chameleon Club - Lancaster

This was my third time seeing Andrew McMahon and second time seeing him at the Chameleon Club. Not his best show. I guess he's starting to play new songs because half the songs I hadn't heard before. He didn't play most of his Something Corporate or Jacks hits. I forgot how small the venue was and the crowd was horrible. There were a bunch of drunk people yelling "free bird" the whole show. It was so loud you couldn't heard anything he said in between songs.

Andrew McMahon brings the house down at the Pony

by KevWhit on 8/12/14The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

Andrew McMahon blasted through a set of hits from Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin, a Springsteen cover and some new material from his current band, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. The energy was raw, the crowd was into every song, the dialogue between songs was often hilarious and revealing... The concert was fantastic. If you are a fan of any of his music, I highly recommend catching him live!

    Unforgettable!

by mikey303 on 8/11/14The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

For Andrew fans, this was a show to keep dear to our hearts. Playing at the Stone Pony where so many groups have played was a thrill in itself. Andrew and the band were rocking. After opening for so many other shows, it was a great to have the stage to themselves for a concert. Jokes were shared (we didn't know guitarist Mikey wanted to go to clown college! Now we do!). Interaction with the audience was non-stop. The mix of old (Something Corporate), the in-between (Jack's Mannequin), and new (recent song Cecelia and the Satellite) went off without a hitch. Even a tribute to the man himself, Bruce Springsteen, couldn't have been better. The crowd was singing along to every tune. We all walked away floating on air!

He was amazing! The show was organized. He was funny and humble. The energy was great. Best show I've ever been to. After the show he came by his tour bus and signed for maybe 150 people or more and took pictures as requested. He is an amazing person to meet and watch live. I can't wait to see him again.

I've never been to an Andrew McMahon show that wasn't absolutely perfect. The venue was packed so it was ridiculously hot and difficult to breathe due to poor ventilation, but Andrew was fantastic.

    Andrew McMahon did not disappoint

by MAK123 on 8/11/14The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

Andrew McMahon is a powerhouse, whose amazing talent is matched only by his performance. I had seen him open for numerous artists, but had yet to see him headline. The only complaints were that his stage time was too short (because I could listen to him all night) and the venue was packed and too hot! I can't wait to see him again, soon!

    Amazing, as per usual.

by ERap on 7/27/13Musikfest Cafe - BETHLEHEM

Andrew McMahon. He's a lyrical genius. His live show was amazing. He seamlessly wove together selected songs from throughout his career, hitting every must-have and adding newer songs in. His energy is infectious - he's jumping off the piano, he's playing the piano with his tush and feet, he's running around. After the show, he was extremely warm and gracious while meeting fans outside of his tour bus, and happily took pictures and signed autographs.

    Andrew never dissapoints

    by Casey87 on 7/26/13Musikfest Cafe - BETHLEHEM

Andrew McMahon is by far the most talented musician. He puts on an incredible show! Keeps the audience alive and make sure that the fans feel special no matter where they are seated or standing. It’s not common to see a front man play Piano, so it's a fantastic thing to experience! He also took the time to meet fans after the show for Pictures and Autographs. He is so down to earth and actually cares about his fans.

    Andrew McMahon was the best!!!

by Afaroffbritt on 7/26/13Musikfest Cafe - BETHLEHEM

This concert was well worth the price and the drive to see. I love this venue and hope to make it to more events this summer. The opening bands were really good. Never heard of either prior but were great choice to open up Andy. Second time seeing Andy was just as awesome as the first. With the GA seating you could be alot closer to the stage if you wanted. This was a great crowd too! No crazy drunks or people throwing garage. The performance was phenomenal! If you havent seen him yet, put hum on your MUST SEE list! Just a great night with a great show and a room full of awesome people.

    Incredible show!

by Jenta on 7/11/13The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

Andrew McMahon and Allen Stone were absolutely crazy. They played amazing music and were really fun to watch. I've been in love with Andrew's music since I was in middle school and it was such a great experience to finally see him perform live. There was a nice mix of new and old music. Would love to see both of them again.
