André Rieu on Tour
André Rieu is nothing short of a cosmopolitan treasure. The Dutch violinist has dedicated his life to spreading the joy of the waltz to fans across the world. Since starting the Johann Strauss Orchestra in the late ‘80s, he's taken his dynamic ensemble — which numbers around 60 — everywhere from Europe and Asia to the Americas and Australia. Almost every year, the orchestra lands on Billboard's list of Top 25 tours, with Rieu recognized by the publication in 2009 as the most successful male touring artist in the world. Yearly, his group performs between 70 and 100 shows worldwide. Rieu has become famous for his energetic stage presence and thrilling repertoire. Often playing on the violin from the conductor's podium and leading his orchestra at the same time, engaging the audience in his dramatic and buoyant readings of well-known tunes, Rieu is as close to a rock star as one can get in the classical world.
André Rieu in Concert
Rieu was born in Maastricht, Netherlands, in 1949 to a father who was the conductor of the Maastricht Symphony Orchestra. So a life in music came naturally. He began studying the violin at age 5, eventually training at conservatories in Liège, Maastricht and Brussels. During his studies, he became obsessed with the waltz as he recognized how thoroughly the Viennese form gripped audiences when played from a stage. After a number of performance posts, including with the Limburg Symphony Orchestra, Rieu created the Johann Strauss Orchestra in 1987. The group would be dedicated primarily to performing waltzes the world over. With his orchestra, Rieu has not only toured but released live DVDs and CDs, many of which have gone platinum, and he's responsible for the beloved annual New Year's concerts in Vienna, the birthplace of Strauss and the home of the waltz.

Every voice, every performer, every instrumentalist……amazing!
Fabulous concert. Beyond words! Best time ever!
Loved the entire show! Very entertaining and joyful.
Everything was amazing. Just the inconvenience of not knowing in advance that we cannot have handbags with us and the time lost looking for a locker to keep the bags, was a crazyness!!!!
The show offered a variety of genres and was quite lovely. Especially poignant was the moment a WWII veteran was welcomed onstage to perform with his saxophone.
Andre Rieu’s concerts are the best shows we have ever been to. They are so uplifting and happy, you just feel wonderful being a part of the show. We come out of the concert so positive and joyful. We are so glad whenever we get to go to his shows. We look forward to going again in the future.
The best voices for me came from the group of the black people ( I am not black). The soloists were incredible, moved me deeply and I saw the public reacting hotter than before their performance
Super , that guys is super cool , amazing with people and everyone just awesome time
Andre Rieu does such a show Noone wants to leave. The show starts on the dot at 7:30 pm and he was at the center of it all. He is amazing and I would love to to see him again
Wow!! What a show!! Andre Rieu is entertaining and engaging. Orchestra, singers, bagpipers were all incredible!! Absolutely fantastic show!! Start to finish was outstanding!! I wish it lasted even longer.
The sounds it’s not that great as expected, especially for a concert like this one which has several instruments and choirs.
Such a joyous evening. Beautiful music, a bit of humor and an arena filled with positive energy.
It was everything that I expected. I have been planning to see Andre Rieu for so long. I watch him all the time on tv. But at last I did it. It was great
I travel with my wife from Puerto Rico. We love Andre Rieu. Amazing presentation as we saw on concerts videos. We enjoy all concert and we have danced vals at the concert. It was very funny and romantic.
Great service and assistance The show 10 out of 10 Beautiful experiences Thank you
We all really enjoyed the concert- so diverse and professional and so enjoyable. Can't wait until the next time!
So enjoyed Andre Rieu's concert. He offered a variety of music for just about everyone. I expected a sedate evening surrounded by seniors clapping politely at the appropriate time. That was certainly NOT the case! Very diverse audience with young, old and in-between rockin the house down. Bravo to Andre Rieu, his orchestra and all the wonderful performers. Loved the gospel music, as well as the bagpipers! Did not want the concert to end!
My husband and I love going to see Andre Rieu! It's not just a "concert"with amazing talented musicians, it's an event with fun, laughter and audience participation! We get involved and have an awesome evening! Everyone should see Andre Rieu at least once in their lifetime!
Great music but too much gospel. Wanted to hear beautiful melodies not singers screaming at the top of their lungs.
