Cast was GREAT!! Liked the retelling of the story different from the animated version. Felt a little disappointed that the production design was not there. Didn't really like the video screens being used a parts of the set, actually most of the set. Overall had a wonderful time.
Take a break from reality and sit back and prepare to thoroughly enjoy yourself. Whether you know the story beforehand, or not, the wonderful sets, costumes, and not to mention acting and singing will keep you totally enthralled. We had 3 generations at the show and all 3 had a great experience. Totally worthwhile and the time seems to fly by.
We thoroughly enjoyed the acting, amazing set design, and music, but the surprise ballet sequence completely blew us away. Beautifully done!
I brought my 7 year old daughter to see the show and we both loved it. Great acting and singing with a few funny parts too. We enjoyed the experience greatly.

I went solo to this event and I thought I was gonna be a bit boring but the dancing was wonderful and the singing was great. Everything was surprisingly good. I will go again.

We’ve seen several shows at CIBC over the past year and every single one has sound issues. Do you like hearing the words that the lead is singing? If not, this is the theater experience for you. The pit sounds great but it’s not the main reason to see the show. Furthermore, why sell concessions covered in plastic wrap? When the family behind you decides to eat dinner via the snacks sold at the concessions, forget about hearing the entire first act. Cheap plastic crinkly water bottles? They’ve got those too. Seriously, I wish I could give a review about the actual show but can only tell you that the set design was great. Beyond that, I have no idea.
I loved this show. I grew up watching the movie when I was younger, so I knew the basic plot of the show, but the production was so amazing. It deviated slightly from the movie, however that was completely fine, and they told a wonderful story. The characters were so convincing, and they were all so fleshed out, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this production of Anastasia.
The show was really well put together. Staff were really friendly. The only down point was we had booked the suite which is a great addition but due to a technical issue with scanners which I totally understand we were allowed to enter quite late which took away from the suite experience.
I loved the show. The whole cast was wonderful and so talented. The characters of Glen Vaganov and Countess Lilly Makevsky-Malevich were hilarious.
I’ve been dying to see this show for over 2 years now—the initial wave of the pandemic prevented me from attending sooner, but I’m so happy I was finally able to make it happen. Wonderful acting—the performers held my attention the entire time— the costumes were great and the music was absolutely beautiful! 5 stars! 🥰
Fantastic show. Intimate. Powerful vocals and wonderful story. All the actors are cast perfectly. Wonderful use of technology to tell the story. Wish I could watch it again and again

Such a fun and exhilarating performance. The acting and singing were superb. The plot, although sad at times, was sprinkled with the right amount of humor. All the performers were great, but Lily and Vlad steal the show with The Countess and the Conman! Two Thumbs Up!!!
First off, the animated movie of Anastasia has been a favorite of mine ever since I was a child, so I’d already had high hopes. And let me tell you, there was no disappointment! The show was absolutely Beautiful! Everyone did an amazing job and they all sang so beautifully. Truly I wish there was a way to purchase a recording of the show because I’d love to just listen to the music from the particular cast. I wish I was able to see the show again as well that just how much I loved it.
I couldn’t say enough positive things about this play. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys musicals. The songs, cast and overall experience was a 10/10.
We’ve seen this before but this time it was different. It did not disappoint at all. Actually we liked this one better. Worth seeing, you will enjoy it s as well. Great performance by all, you’ll laugh as well. Go see it!!!
