About

AMY GRANT IN CONCERT:

In the '80s, singer-songwriter Amy Grant parlayed her fame as a Christian recording artist into one of the most successful crossover stories of the decade, topping the mainstream pop charts with adult contemporary hits like "The Next Time I Fall" and "Baby Baby." Since then, Grant has continued to wow fans with her angelic vocals and penchant for pop hooks, earning a reputation as an energetic and inspiring live performer. In 2014, Grant will treat fans with a string of solo tour stops as well as her performances on An Evening with Amy Grant and Vince Gill, her nationwide tour with Vince Gill.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

“I saw Amy Grant almost 30 years ago, and it was wonderful to see her again. She played a lot of old hits in addition to the new, and hit just about every one of my favorites!”

“This latest tour is another wonderful example of why I keep coming back. Amy is Amy; she's refreshing, rejuvenating, delightful. I always leave her shows feeling inspired and reconnected to the human experience.”

“Her warm and engaging style makes you feel like she is singing just to you or that you are visiting in her living room.”

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Amy Grant undoubtedly holds the title of most accomplished Christian music artist in history, selling more albums than any other entertainer in her genre. Her ‘80s hits “El Shaddai,” “My Father’s Eyes” “and “Angels” have become contemporary Christian classics, and her crossover to mainstream music also met with phenomenal success. In 1986 Grant reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “The Next Time I Fall in Love,” a duet with Pete Cetera, topping the charts again in 1992 with ubiquitous hit “Baby, Baby." She has received multiple Grammy and Dove Awards, and was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2003.

    Amy Grant was very personable

by d9101350 on 9/12/09Frederick Brown, Jr. Amphitheater - Peachtree City

She had some interesting background to tell about the songs. You find out about her as a person and find out how humble and down to earth she really is. At 49, she still has that unique and beautiful voice I love. I would attend another Amy Grant concert at the Fred any day. I've given it a 4, since she had some out of tune moments and memory lapses during the concert.

Amy at a casual and relaxed evening. Loved it!

by Mhoward on 9/12/09Frederick Brown, Jr. Amphitheater - Peachtree City

Amy presented herself and the band in a very relaxed way. Made us feel like we were spending an evening in her backyard as house guests. Not what we were expecting. Wonderful surprise. Only drawback was early in the show, sound volume was pushed beyond equipment capacity. Was distracting but was better after Amy's solo acoustic songs. Highly recommend seeing this show.

    Amy Grant was wonderful!

by thecowans on 9/12/09Frederick Brown, Jr. Amphitheater - Peachtree City

She has the most beautiful, clear voice. She gives it her all with one song after another. A great variety of songs- old and new- pop and Christian. Her backup band was great. Also, the opening act, "Open Door", was very good !

In Love with the idea of being in love with AMY

by robertmichaelbobsled on 9/12/09Frederick Brown, Jr. Amphitheater - Peachtree City

WHAT A GENUINE PERSON! Amazing how she gives such a great performance without all the trappings that can be part of lots of shows. Meaning that she "doesn't put on airs". Love that she shares her faith and beliefs right down to her soul. And you get to see and appreciate it when you are there. Blessed by the hand of God. CAN I GET An AMEN!!

I have seen Amy several times....and each time she seems to do a fresh new show! I love the way she talks to the audience and makes us feel a part of each song....she has had a very long career.....but, I never feel as her songs sound the same.....each it different and always has a wonderful message to share! Thanks Amy!

    Awesome

by maw57 on 9/12/09Frederick Brown, Jr. Amphitheater - Peachtree City

Amy took the stage right on time and it was awesome for the rest of the performance. She has grown into an outstanding performer. She is very laid back on stage and even performed a few songs that people from the audience wanted. I loved the section of the concert where her band just watched and she performed just her and her guitar. I loved the acoustic part of the concert.
