Amazing Grace is an important show to see in our current cultural climate. This is an important time to be reminded of the history and struggle of black human beings. Beautiful singing and costumes add to the experience.
The logline says it all- that most people know the song but they don't know the story behind it. That was true for me. I've sung it all my life. I was blown away by the sets and even got wet in an ocean scene. The vocals were so strong and at the end when they 100+ group sings, it truly was amazing. The leads were fantastic! It was great to see a strong Christian story and message for a change. I hope it does amazingly and stays on Broadway for a very long time!
