Alyssa Edwards on Tour

American entertainer, choreographer, television personality, and drag performer Alyssa Edwards has hit the road for the Alyssa: Life, Love & Lashes Tour. Slated for 34 shows across more than a dozen states over the summer, show attendees rave over Edwards' talent and professionalism onstage. Edwards is perhaps known best for the 2012 performance on the fifth season of "RuPaul's Drag Race" where Edwards quickly became a fan favorite, leveraging that into a second appearance on the show and finishishing as fourth runner-up on season two of "RuPaul's Drag Race: All-Stars." Away from the stage, Edwards is an accomplished choreographer, owning the Beyond Belief Dance Company which was the centerpiece of the Netflix Original docuseries "Dancing Queen." Tickets are selling fast, so get yours to see the vibrant personality of Alyssa Edwards today.

Alyssa Edwards Live

Born Justin Dwayne Lee Johnson in Mesquite, Texas, Alyssa Edwards is the chosen stage name of the tv personality and drag performer. According to the "RuPaul's Drag Race" Wiki, Edwards is considered to be a Drag Race legend in the community, as one of the only queens to make an appearance on RuPaul's podcast "What's the Tee?" and coining iconic terms like "Rigga Morris" and "Backrolls." The stage name originated from Johnson's youth where he took a liking to Alyssa Milano from the television show "Who's the Boss." Johnson adopted the last name of his early mentor and drag mother, Laken Edwards. Away from the stage, Edwards is perhaps best known for being a small business owner and dance studio operator, running the famed Beyond Belief Dance Company in his hometown. The studio was featured on Netflix's original docuseries "Dancing Queen" (which features Edwards, who is also credited as a director of the show). Edwards is also known for his appearance on "The Bachelorette." Edwards' dance company also competed twice on "America's Got Talent" where the group reached the quarter finals of the competition both times.

  • Amazing from Start to Finish

by Philly Ed on 8/21/24House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

This is the greatest example of Drag at its best. Alyssa Edwards flanked by talented local queens kept the audience energized for over two hours. The audience members were there to have fun and were kind to the performers and each other. Alyssa is fierce and vulnerable, talented and engaging, and vicious but kind. As a rare straight guy, I felt comfortable and a part of the community all night.

  • Venue stinks! Alyssa was AWESOME!!!

by JohnnyAYQ on 8/21/24House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 1 out of 5

The show was amazing, but the House of Blues venue stinks! They pushed the folding chairs right up to the stage, (too close) and have a massive set of stairs dead center which completely blocked and obstructed my view… was not a very organized event by the HOB staff either!

  • Amazing

by Iris on 8/21/24House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Anything Alyssa Edwards does is pure gold. The show was amazing if she ever comes back to Florida I would definitely be buying tickets to see it all again. 10/10

  • So Much Fun!

by Amber Joy on 8/20/24GLC Live at 20 Monroe - Grand RapidsRating: 5 out of 5

The show was so much fun! They included local artists to the show and that was amazing that they support local queens! Would absolutely get tickets to another one!

  • It was Meh

by Spalding1966 on 8/20/24GLC Live at 20 Monroe - Grand RapidsRating: 3 out of 5

I really expected more from her. Two numbers seriously. I knew she would have other performers and that was cool but for her too much talking not enough performing. I can check the box i sae her but just meh. 😒

  • Not a good venue for drag

by Just Browsing Texas on 8/19/24House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 3 out of 5

I love Alyssa Edwards and all drag performers who have come to dazzle us with their talents at the House of Blues. However, I would say this venue does not suit Drag performers well simply because if you are on the upstairs balcony looking down, when a performer leaves the stage and go on the ground floor to collect tips, the balcony crowd only gets half a show but still pays full price. I thought that’s why they had people walking around with money bags so that we could tip the bag and the performer could stay on the main stage, but apparently that wasn’t the case here. I give the show 3 stars because of this venue set-up and the performers only performing 1/2 a show. If another one of rupauls drag queen alumni shows is held here, I’m probably not going to attend for this reason alone, unless I get 1/2 price tickets for 1/2 the show I will see.

  • Alyssa has unfortunately attached herself to a subpar show

    by GNC523 on 8/12/24Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 1 out of 5

Best part was Alyssa Edwards, the worst part was the show. She is stunning and a great talent, but for this to be a redeemable production it needs A LOT more than a mediocre cast of local drag queens/kings. Flip Phone Productions owes Alyssa an appology, and me a refund.

  • The queen of my heart

by Mo on 8/12/24Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Alyssa Edwards, the funniest and sweetest queen you will ever meet. My third show of hers and she has yet to disappoint.

  • It WAS a good Thursday lol

    by Jenneth L. on 11/19/22Rating: 5 out of 5

Not your average Winnipeg on a Thursday night! Such gracious crew lead us through to the Meet & Greet prior to the show, and what a privilege if I may say so. I hope this review is not too late to say that I was mesmerized by one of the most beautiful human beings I've ever seen. The show was absolutely captivating. Thank you for sharing your performance, your stories and your ingenuity. I am utterly grateful, and shall never forget a wonderful September night out.

  • Great show, great staff

by Brooke on 9/24/22Thunder Bay Community Auditorium - Thunder BayRating: 4 out of 5

The staff at the auditorium were super friendly! Unfortunately the show we went to see what not very well attended. So the staff allowed everyone to move up closer to unoccupied seats. Thank you for great customer service! Alyssa Edwards was awesome! And put on a great show.

  • Ted talk, minimal dancing

by Jassy on 9/22/22Algonquin Commons Theatre - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

I hadn't done my research before buying these tickets, so personally I was a bit bummed. But that's on me. It was one dance, 30 minutes of story- telling, then one dance. Intermission. One dance, 30 minutes story- telling, one dance. Go home.

  • Alyssa is phenomenal!

by Ray on 9/13/22Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Wow, what an incredible night. Alyssa wrapped comedy, storytelling, and drag into a bow as beautiful as her. We laughed, we cried and left on such a high. I would 10/10 recommend this show. I wish there was more merch with her FACE baby. GO SEE HER!

  • Was ready to watch again.

    by Jerbear76 on 6/20/22The Factory - ChesterfieldRating: 5 out of 5

Laughed so much. Was entertained more than I expected to be. A touching true life story. Reminded me of my country up bringing. Imagine Young Sheldon instead of a scientist, Sheldon was a fabulous Drag Queen and Dancer.

by Kelly on 6/20/22The Factory - ChesterfieldRating: 5 out of 5

Great show and would like to see more there like that too.

  • Amazing

by Nick on 6/17/22Aztec Theatre - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

We had a great time the only issue we experienced is the seats for rows D&E are on the same level so if some one tall with a big curly wig on sits Infront of you you will be leaving left and right the whole time causing you to bump elbows

  • Beautiful gowns, not what I expected

by Bored Mama on 6/16/22House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 2 out of 5

Bored, left at intermission. I have been to many drag shows, this was not that. If you're looking for a monologue with glitzy gowns, this is for you. I wish Alyssa Edwards all the best.
