Born Justin Dwayne Lee Johnson in Mesquite, Texas, Alyssa Edwards is the chosen stage name of the tv personality and drag performer. According to the "RuPaul's Drag Race" Wiki, Edwards is considered to be a Drag Race legend in the community, as one of the only queens to make an appearance on RuPaul's podcast "What's the Tee?" and coining iconic terms like "Rigga Morris" and "Backrolls." The stage name originated from Johnson's youth where he took a liking to Alyssa Milano from the television show "Who's the Boss." Johnson adopted the last name of his early mentor and drag mother, Laken Edwards. Away from the stage, Edwards is perhaps best known for being a small business owner and dance studio operator, running the famed Beyond Belief Dance Company in his hometown. The studio was featured on Netflix's original docuseries "Dancing Queen" (which features Edwards, who is also credited as a director of the show). Edwards is also known for his appearance on "The Bachelorette." Edwards' dance company also competed twice on "America's Got Talent" where the group reached the quarter finals of the competition both times.
Other than how beautiful she looked ... the show was awful. She came out a half hour late .... The show was suppose to start at 8:00 she came out at 8:30. I was in an uber heading out of Boston by 10:00. Thoroughly disappointed. She is by far my fav Drag Queen and she disappointed me. I will never pay to see her again.
Alyssa Edwards is my favorite queen from RuPaul's Drag Race and it was amazing to be able to see her in all her glory. The show was a great time and everything went smoothly at the venue. Thank you!
The show was truly disappointing. I was expecting a lot more dancing, like we're used to from her lip-smacking battles, but it was nowhere near comparable. Between the artists, there were Netflix reruns of her appearances. Honestly, if I wanted to watch her shows again, I could have had them on my couch for free. The others could have performed. The final monologue was very long. Overall, Alyssa only did 5 minutes of poor-quality dancing compared to what we're used to. The ticket price was very high for what we got in return. On the plus side, Alyssa had beautiful costumes.
OMG! One of the best performers of all time. Alyssa Edwards is one not compared to any. If you have the chance to see at performance it is one of the best experiences you will ever have and will be glad to not pass it up. Definitely would recommend to anyone.
The show was great from the opener with her killer number and moves to Alyssa showing up and showing out. Grateful for this memory.
Alyssa was awesome but too short. The venue seemed a bit scaled back for her and didn't accommodate her lighting or sound very well. For the price of the tickets and especially for the drinks, this should have been handled better. There was also ll Little or no guidance for where to sit for a handicapped people so we just sat on bar seats.
The charism, uniqueness, nerve, and talent of Alyssa is unreal. Run to the show now.
Alyssa is naturally funny and the stories were so entertaining. I would go again and again!
My husband knew I liked Alyssa and asked if I wanted to go, he thought it was a concert! LOL!! He was amazed how funny and entertaining Alyssa is, he was laughing at all the jokes too. Needess to say a night with Alyssa is a night of laughs and enjoyment! Can't wait to go to another! Great Show Alyssa!
I really love Alyssa and was excited to see her live, but Crowned just didn’t deliver. The show felt messy, unorganized, and not up to the standard you'd expect for a theatre setting. It honestly felt more like a bar gig — and not in a fun, campy way. Listening to Alyssa ramble on the mic for an hour wasn’t particularly entertaining, and the lip syncs lacked energy. I expected more from a queen with her level of talent and presence.
Small theater, uncomfortable chairs, inadequate room between chairs. Late start and guest was not the best. Enjoyed Alyssa Edward’s performance and banter very much. Would see her again in a different venue and with different guests.

I have been a huge Drag Race and Alyssa Edward’s fan for a long time, and was very excited to see her live! I was left rather disappointed with the show. She came out and did a lipsync performance, talked to the crowd for 20-30 minutes about her time on Global All Stars. Many of her thoughts were not finished and the dialogue was all over the place. She had a local Seattle queen come out and she carried the show, she did the crowd work and reveals. Then Alyssa came back did one more lipsync, to songs that half the crowd can’t sing to or get into. Had the local queen come back and then Alyssa came out in a showgirl outfit and gave her thanks to the audience and then left. The show started at 7:15, she was off stage by 8:30. For the price and queen talent she has, this performance was lackluster and disjointed. Was left disappointed and dissuaded from attending another one of her performances.
My mother and I have been following Alyssa for years. From RuPaul to Dancing Queen...we've watched it all. Seeing the "Crowned"tour kick off in Seattle was the ultimate up and close experience that we will never forget. Fabulous show! I purchased the 'VIP Meet and Greet' prior to the show and she was so kind, gracious and loving to everyone she met. I can't wait to see what she will do next! Long live the queen!
The show ran about an hour and a half. The numbers were incredible and Alyssa was very entertaining. The set and overall production were minimal.
All I can say it was like the Broadway show Me!Me!Me! by Madeline Ashton in Death Becomes Her. There were a lot of glitches and if they were intentional, that’s even worse. Have seen better performance and it was a recap of a show season I was not 100% familiar with. Plus an interaction with the promoter was negative making it worse.
Saw the first show of her ‘Crowned’ tour in Seattle & it was fabulous. It’s a mixture of performances, reveals, storytelling & comedy. Alyssa engaged the audience & looked like a Queen. She had a local Drag Queen b/n sets and she was very entertaining as well. It checked all the boxes of true, authentic, drag. Would highly recommend going, it’s a great way to spend the evening with our community & see the international Global Allstar.
Comedy...6 Show...4 Just not the amazing show or comedy you'd expect. Local shows have offered more and they out did her as the openers...
This was a spectacular show Alyssa really delivered the glitz and glamour of it all. The supporting acts were absolutely amazing. I cannot wait to come to another Alyssa Edwards production.
Alyssa was funny and beautiful. Aside from the local queens performing, it was mostly storytelling. Which is fine but I was hoping for more costume changes and performance numbers from the headliner. We still had a nice time.
