Alyssa Edwards on Tour

American entertainer, choreographer, television personality, and drag performer Alyssa Edwards has hit the road for the Alyssa: Life, Love & Lashes Tour. Edwards is perhaps known best for the 2012 performance on the fifth season of "RuPaul's Drag Race" where Edwards quickly became a fan favorite, leveraging that into a second appearance on the show and finishishing as fourth runner-up on season two of "RuPaul's Drag Race: All-Stars." Away from the stage, Edwards is an accomplished choreographer, owning the Beyond Belief Dance Company which was the centerpiece of the Netflix Original docuseries "Dancing Queen." Alyssa Edwards Live

Born Justin Dwayne Lee Johnson in Mesquite, Texas, Alyssa Edwards is the chosen stage name of the tv personality and drag performer. According to the "RuPaul's Drag Race" Wiki, Edwards is considered to be a Drag Race legend in the community, as one of the only queens to make an appearance on RuPaul's podcast "What's the Tee?" and coining iconic terms like "Rigga Morris" and "Backrolls." The stage name originated from Johnson's youth where he took a liking to Alyssa Milano from the television show "Who's the Boss." Johnson adopted the last name of his early mentor and drag mother, Laken Edwards. Away from the stage, Edwards is perhaps best known for being a small business owner and dance studio operator, running the famed Beyond Belief Dance Company in his hometown. The studio was featured on Netflix's original docuseries "Dancing Queen" (which features Edwards, who is also credited as a director of the show). Edwards is also known for his appearance on "The Bachelorette." Edwards' dance company also competed twice on "America's Got Talent" where the group reached the quarter finals of the competition both times.

Alyssa is a captivating performer, unfortunately she didn’t do all that much performing.

  • Totally worth it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👌

Everything was very organized at the venue, sounds and lighting team were on point as well as the staff. The show was very well put together. It had enough varieties of elements. From dancing, videos, and lots of the great entertainer Alissa Edwards. The energy was managed very well to the point that as a member of the audience I was able to stay engaged the whole time. Definitely a show that I would attend again. Well done!

  • Great Show, Crappy Venue

This place needs an overhaul. I’ve been to shows here before, but had time to notice all of the imperfections and burnt out light bulbs because the show was advertised at 7pm, but didn’t actually start until 8. (Not mentioned anywhere) Got there at 6:30 and stood outside for over thirty minutes. Not a big deal usually, but it was a particularly hot TX evening and if we would have known curtain was at 8, we wouldn’t have shown up so early. The door guys were somewhat rude as they corralled us like cattle before the main entry. Once inside, it was a cluster finding floor seats. Drinks are overpriced and served in flimsy plastic glasses. They need to fire their tech crew. Sound was horrible for this show. The entertainer had to ask for a handheld mic in both sets because they couldn’t seem to manage the levels and I think the lighting guy was asleep at the wheel. Live Nation needs to give this venue some attention.

One of the best shows I have seen! Local talent, plus Alyssa Edwards made for an amazing show!

  • Alyssa Edwards is a true professional and an amazing host.

I loved that the event gave room for local talents and dance groups to perform before Alyssa but the sound / lights coordinator was awful even leaving entertainers on a blackout stage with no sound (that was a constant during the whole production). Maybe one less preshow act and one more Alyssa Edwards number. Alyssa was absolutely wonderful tho; a true professional and a incredible host. During the Meet and Greet she was so warm, welcoming and humble; loved it.

  • Alyssa's performance was fantasic. But...

This was the saddest "vip" experience I was part of. I paid nearly $300 for 2 tickets, and the only advantage was a mens room inside the Fillmor, vip tent was cash bar. While checking in i could have bought vip for just $75 each. Including the beer bust... never again charlies ! I could have had the same experience for $20
