Alvin Ailey Dance Theater Tickets

This is the second time I have watched Alvin Ailey Dance perform at the Fox Theatre and I absolutely LOVE them. They move with such ease, gracefulness, and emotion! Each time I see them dance it makes me wish I could dance with the company and be part of something so magnificent and powerful! Plus, I like the fact that you see a different routine along with the traditional Revelations. I will definitely see them again next year!!

I've seen them 3 times and have never been disappointed. They are amazing!

I enjoyed watching the Alvin Ailey dancers so much that I almost cried during the first act. My seven year old daughter was on the edge of her seat for the entire first half of the performance. I was my daughter's age when I last saw the Alvin Ailey dancers. They took my breath away. I plan on taking my son and husband with us next time they are in town. What a wonderful night!

First number was good. Second number was dissapointing. Last number redeamed the first two. Worst Audience ever - rude!! Talking, taking pictures, even after the Fox theatre had to announce it several times. Ushers had to come down the isles to get people to behave. $60 per ticket for that kind of behavior was crazy!!

I was greatly and serenely touched by the movement of the human bodies as they gyrated to the awesome musical arrangements.

I almost cannot find the words to express my appreciation for/satisfaction/awe with the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre! I saw them once as a child in Mobile when my aunt took me and the only thing I could remember prior to the Atlanta show was how impressed I was as a child with the "Move, Members, Move" section of Revelations (the fans just really stuck out in my mind). Seeing Revelations again, along with the other sections of the program, was like a true homecoming! I missed Ailey when they came through Atlanta two years ago with Sweet Honey because of a school engagement and so I was going to this show come hell or high water! The show was INCREDIBLE; the Fox was an AMAZING host and I'm so glad I was able to share this (African) American experience with my friends. Will DEFINITELY be looking out for their return to this area!

We took the entire family, kids ages 17, 15,12,& 6. Each had their favorite dance and musical selection. Great Show once agin Alvin Ailey!! What a perfect weekend leading into Valentines day.

I have seen this company over a dozen times, and although this particular performance (Saturday evening) did not appear to be their strongest, Alvin Ailey dancers are amazing. My only complaint was with the audience, who, unbelievably, were taking flash photos during the performance (even did so AFTER an announcement forbidding it was aired); there was a loud argument between patrons that took place during the 'Revelations', some patrons arriving very late (show began 15 minutes late) and leaving early; and then ubiquitous cell phone ringing and texting throughout the show. By far, this was the worst audience I have ever been a part of during an Ailey performance. But Ailey is wonderful; don't miss it, just see it somewhere else besides Atlanta!

It has been years since I've seen the group in NY. Now I'm bringing my granddaughter. We loved it.!

This was my first time ever seeing Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre in person and I had a wonderful experience. It was amazing and I did not want it to end.

Show was wonderful, I brought my 9year old daughter who is a ballet dancer. She was mesmerized by the Alvin Ailey's dance company performances.

From the very beginning, I enjoyed the show. This was my first experience with Alvin Ailey, and the experience definitely made me want to continue to come back year after year. Not only were the dancing skills AMAZING, the costume choices, lighting design, and musical selection made each dance performance solid.

As a former student of dance, I was engaged from the moment the curtain opened. These dancers are so talented and so diverse and so committed to the performance. Every moment of the show was memorable and I will see the show for a 3rd time!

As usual, a very elegant and visually beautiful performance. I did not like the homosexualesque nature of the performance of the 2 gentlemen who were dancing together, but their technique and form were beautiful and erotic. Loved the costumes. (Were they naked?!!? Lol!)

Dancers were amazing. Seats were excellent. Felt as though the group got me involved! Wonderful show!!!

The show as absolutely fabulous which is nothing less than what I expected. I brought my 6 year old granddaughter and she loved the show as well. I look forward to her getting to the age that she will have the opportunity to study dance with Alvin Ailey's Dance Theater. The video was a very great addition to the show. Loved hearing the history of how Alvin Ailey got started. Generally, the show starts promptly at scheduled time. I was a little disappointed when the show started 15 minutes late. Two ladies were sitting next to me who were attending the event for the first time. They asked me if the show starts on time and I assured them it usually starts at the scheduled time. This time I was wrong. :~( I think it's important for a show, such as this, to start on time so that the attendees will not start to think the show will start late so they can show up late to find their seats. Just my opinion.

the dancers were amazing. celebrating 50 years of revelations brought tears to my eyes.

This production was amazing! I was so impressed and excited about the show i didnt even want to blink, fearing i would miss something.This is a must see!

Every year, I go to see the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater at the Fox Theatre. Each time, I go with different friends, and each time it takes my breath away. I am so very much impressed by the dancers' skills and the technique they use. It has been a privilege to watch these great dancers grace the stage as they give members of the audience an opportunity to enter their world. From the tips of their fingers to the tips of their toes, it is apparent that these men and women have been well-trained by some of the world's best dancers. Each person is a walking masterpiece... It's been amazing to see these masterpieces come together on stage to create a brilliant work of art for the rest of us to marvel at!
